My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim, and wow, we're already planning our next trip back. If you're expecting the classic old-school Sno-White drive-in experience, this location definitely does its own thing, and honestly, it works. It feels like a fresh take on the original concept while still serving that nostalgic comfort food everyone loves. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and made to order. The burgers were juicy, the crinkle fries were perfectly crispy, the corn dog was golden and delicious, the nuggets were surprisingly good, and the soft serve was the perfect way to finish the meal. The portions were generous, the food came out hot, and every bite hit the spot. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and service was quick even with several orders going out. You can tell they care about quality instead of just rushing food out. If you're anywhere near Modesto, don't skip this place just because it's different from the traditional Sno-White. I wrote my first review based on that experience and am updating it based on my most recent. First, the person taking my order seemed a bit confused from the start (trainee was my first thought). When I tried to order their friend zucchini, I was told they were out (note to manager, there are markets just down the street that have produce departments; try going and getting a supply if you didn't order enough for your needs). When I got to the window, I paid and then sat, and sat, and sat, and sat with the staffer who took payment disappearing; in fact, most of the crew seemed to be on the other side of the place. Weird. I was beginning to think that the people behind me would be honking their horns soon. At any rate, I would estimate the wait time on this visit (at my wife's request) was about 2-3x as long as last time. My suggestion next time she asks? Nation's takes less time if we place the order ahead, and I don't mind walking in for a complete menu and higher quality. Loss of one star. I was hoping to be adding one this trip. read more

So the only time I'd eaten at Snow White before was by ordering through doordash. This is my first time eating at one in person. That said, it is not clear one that they up charge for everything they add to a burger and two that if you say you want everything except onions you're going to get all the additional add-ons I just ended up spending 50 bucks for three burgers! ( with a bunch of stuff on it that in my opinion doesn't go on a burger) Anyhow, the food was fresh the burger itself was pretty good but there was jalapenos avocado bacon all kind of stuff pulled on this burger and all I wanted was a burger with lettuce and tomato and sauce. The fries were good, crispy crinkle cut with seasoned salt on them. Considering everything is fresh made it went fairly quickly.. the staff all looked tidy and everybody seemed to be working hard. I think somewhere on the menu it should say what Burgers come standard with and what you can add to it to make it clear. Because a giant burger itself is only like 6 bucks which isn't bad.. once you add everything on it ends up being ridiculous. Live and learn. I would go back but I would order more wisely. People who take orders either need better trainings or just plain incompetent. When we went in the first time, they couldn't ring me up for a mushroom burger. We order our 5 items to go & whoever was expediting placed them on a tray. When I it was to go, she started panicking and started bagging our burgers & smushing them in a small bag. So, I asked if I could get a bigger bag to place all the small bags, she said they didn't have any until one of the guys handed me one. This time my husband when go the drive-thru. He told them our order & even showed the drive-thru person his list to make sure. He came home with 2 bags of fried mushrooms short. But they did charge us $1 for 3 small containers of ranch dressing. The Burger Drluxe we ordered was nothing deluxe about it. I guess, Sno-White doesn't know the meaning of deluxe when all this "Burger Deluxe" consists is buns, patty, wilted lettuce, a tiny bit of maybe spread or ketchup. Oh! Let's not forget. Opened April 1st. I got a chicken sandwich that was fresh, very good, (could have used a bit of seasoning). The soft serve ice cream was soo good. For the first day open everyone was doing their best getting everything in order. There was a person taking orders in the drive thru. The employees were being trained so be patient. The smash burgers here are really good, seasoned well and big! I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing that I didn't like is that to trade out crinkle cut for curly fries they charge you the same price as just adding an extra order of fries. They didn't tell us that, so beware of that. I'm not sure how to start. The drive thru speaker isn't very good, We waited at the speaker for well over 5 minutes after she asked us if we could wait a minute. I ordered a KO "combo" and swapped my fries for zucchini and my husband ordered a western combo. We were told that the only option for drinks was lemonade, well, I guess we're having lemonade. When we got to the window, there were so many staff members behind the counter that they were barely able to move around to whatever station they were assigned to. I felt kind of bad for them because it just creates chaos and extra stress. Now onto our order, I didn't get a drink with my meal it was separate on the receipt. My burger was loaded with giant slices of onion, so many that I couldn't taste anything else. The bacon was not great, weird texture to it tough and chewy at the same time? It was also dry, I don't think there was any ketchup, mustard, or mayo on it. It was disappointing on all levels. Highly doubt a return trip is in our future. When you ask to sub an item on a burger(BURGER) they take it off and also sub your fries for that item. I asked for no onions and to add mushrooms to the burger. Instead, I got no mushrooms on the burger, they charged me close to 4$ extra for a side of fried mushrooms and took the fries away. When I told them that's not what I asked for they explained that's their process when asked for subbing out items on a burger. IM SORRY WTH? And of course I sat there and ate the burger to which was dry and salty. I didn't dare touch the mushrooms because they were over oily and breaded. The 1st time mom and I came here it was great. Service was good and the fried mushrooms were awesome. We decided to go again today because of the mushrooms. This experience was a far cry from the 1st. We ordered the mushroom burger combo and asked everything but the cheese to be on the side. When we got it the burger had mayonnaise on it. My mom has a lot of allergies and food sensitivities so we took it back up. It was remade after some attitude. The cashier told my mom to keep the original burger and then she was summoned back up to say that they wanted the 1st burger back. When the remake was done they couldn't even but it on a tray or even in a little box. The girl who was running the drive thru handed it to me in their paper wrap. When I told her that I didn't like how she spoke to my mom she didn't seem to care. My mom is 74 years old and is disabled. Summoning her up to fix your mistakes is unacceptable. I've read the previous reviews and I'm thinking it was just a learning curve. I loved this place. My hamburger tasted like a hamburger from my childhood. The meat is quality meat, the bun smashes easily but the taste is amazing and fresh. The fries were great with a touch of that bbq spice again reminds me of my childhood. The person I was with had the smash burger. It's really a fork and knife meal, not a handheld burger. The service was friendly, willing to please and excited to be there. At first I was excited to see a new Snow White I always loved the old ones when I was a kid. First the drive through didn't seem to work I sat there for 15 min before I decided to just go in. As I was walking in the door I noticed other people were ordering at the drive through window. So I continued in side and the first thing that should have made me leave then was the fact that no one had on a hair net in the kitchen. Almost all of the employees had hair down to their waist male and female and not one hair net. But I ordered anyway. When I got out to my vehicle and started to open my Philly cheese steak sandwich the entire wrapper was soaked in grease! As I got past the wrapper it got worse it looked like there was no cheese and very little meat just greasy bread and what looked like fajita fixings on my sandwich. Greasy bell peppers and onions that seemed more at home on a tortilla than a role. I tried to make the best of it but ended up throwing it out and going somewhere else for dinner.
