The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is great and even has a vegetarian options of tofu as well which does taste delicious but I prefer the beef and rice with veggies, drizzling the teriyaki sauce on top along with the some Siracha that's provided pairs so well prime Barcelona and Real Madrid can't be up to the standard of how well it goes together. The freshness, flavor, aromatics are on another level compared to anything I've ever had. The time it took to whip up this delicious bowl was less than 10 min. Oh, you have a choice of white or brown rice I opted for a large plate, came with a refreshing salad, brown rice, veggies, steak and an avocado with the sauce, which is a soy sauce with a ponzu like taste and some chilies. If you don't order or add the sauce the dishes can be bland. You might want to ask if they a mild option. Food was light on flavor, salad was refreshing and I pulled it onto the entree. The meat quality has def gone down hill the steak is chewy and the chicken was tough. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat on our way to SF. The location is confidently located off the 99. The environment was well kept and clean, including the bathroom. The employees were nice and quick to greet us upon walking into the establishment. The prices were fair. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate (largest portion, comes with a side salad) and chose white rice. My husband ordered the half and half (half chicken and half beef) plate with white rice. My plate was $12.99 and his was $14.99. The food was served steaming hot and fresh, the vegetables were also fresh (just boiled, no seasoning) and the side salad was tossed in a sesame dressing? With tangerines on top. A star was docked, because we prefer an old fashioned thick teriyaki sauce as opposed to a thin teriyaki sauce. I must have eaten here at least seven or eight times now and it only opened at the end of January/beginning of February this year (2020). It is SO GOOD. I work in Modesto, near Empire, so ideally we order online and try to leave the office by 11:30 to avoid the traffic on Mitchell (and in the store) because (surprise!) we are not the only fans of this joint. The order ahead feature is great, you can also really easily sign up for their point system, although I will say even after a few hundred dollar office lunches only got me one bowl so it takes a bit to rack up. But hey, we keep coming back so it works. My favorite protein is the spicy chicken patty my ONLY request would be to get this in the tinier bowl because I like adding the avo and the egg and I do the 1/2 rice and I am still way too stuffed. But eh patty only comes in the Fork'n bowl size...and I know what you're saying, save it for later. But guys it is a) too tasty and b) half is not enough so you see my conundrum. Very good food. It seemed just like Waba grill in SoCal so I was a little surprised by the prices then I realized Grub hub is charging $16 for a half and half bowl when it's $8 in person. (I'm still not clear on if the restaurant gets that money or if it's the markup package they get charged from Grubhub then there's all the other service fees...There's a few restaurants in town that seem astronomically high to order online from...this is definitely one of them.) I liked that jalapeños were offered and brown rice. I didn't like that the only online ordering options for sauce were on it or on the side (in the tiniest container) and then .25 extra for sauce. Next time I would definitely go for at least 2 extras (and order in person!) But you better believe I forked over the extra $2 for half an avocado. My wife had the chicken, and it was also wonderful. All too often, when we get this style of chicken/rice bowl, they're gristly and full of fat. Not here, it was all great meat! Love the sauce too! I'd noticed this new restaurant appearing in the Yelp app with many reviews being written so I thought we'd stop in for lunch. The menu is short and to the point. I like this. Proteins are Tofu, Chicken and Beef, Angus is advertised and is extra as in a charge. Nothing is fried. It's more of a healthful spin on dining. Carbs are rice. Then the vegetables which were super fresh and consisted of cabbage, carrot and broccoli all cooked perfectly. They grill the meat right there in front of you so you know how it's being prepared. I appreciated this. We went with the small bowls. Chicken with extra veggies at no additional fee. Appreciated this however a note: We left the carbby rice out of our order so that was a great substitute. The Fork sauce is good salty and sweet so went light on that and ordered it on the side. Ample portions including the avocado at $1.50 extra for a nice sized half of one. Nice and ripe yet not overly so. Made the dish. It was a steal for the price. Refreshments consist of a fountain soda machine located to the side of the kitchen and order counter by the condiment counter where a large bottle of hot sauce can be found. I went for it and it was super spicy and added to the dish. They gave us biodegradable straws for our sodas. Loved this. Enough plastic already so great form on the straws. They sell a small and a large drink. The large is 22 ounces so it's actually more like a medium when comparing with say a 32 ounce one may find when eating out at a fast food establishment. However we had a refill while dining and I didn't see any signs saying you could not refill so we did. $1.95 for the large soda. It's a self-service set up. Tables could have been a tad cleaner but in all fairness it was clear to see that they were swamped and trying to keep up with the influx of customers. Out the door just under $18 for two small bowls and two sodas. The bowls actually are more like a medium and were well filled.
