Solid quick meal. Stopped in on an early Saturday afternoon and decided to eat outside. Since it's spring, the flies weren't swarming and the temperature was pretty mild (and the breeze is still cool, not warm), so it was actually pretty pleasant on their shaded patio. There was no line inside and the girl at the counter was really nice. I went with the cheeseburger and fries. It's a no-frills burger that was cooked well, not underdone, not soggy. Not the most mind-blowing burger or anything, but just a good classic burger that was satisfying and delicious. While we were eating outside, I heard someone order a blackberry shake at the outside window. I scanned the menu over and over to see what shake flavors they had and they weren't posted on the outside wall, which I think is odd. When I asked the guy at the counter what flavors they had, he just said "a lot" and said they were listed on the menu, gesturing to the wall. I didn't feel like arguing that they clearly aren't, nor do I think it makes sense to have them only inside (assuming they *are* listed on the wall inside). He wasn't rude, just clearly overstressed from the drama that had been happening between him and another employee since we got there. I ordered a small blackberry shake from the same girl who took my first order and it came out pretty quickly. However, when a different employee called out a shake that wasn't blackberry, but something similar (black raspberry or something like that), and no one else walked up to claim it, I walked up and asked if it was for Angela. She had an attitude and said she didn't know. I just took it since it seemed to be mine. This girl had been arguing with the other guy in the kitchen and making things awkward for the other staff, so I wasn't surprised that she was as unpleasant with me as she was with her coworkers. Real charmer. The shake was great though. Super creamy, thick, and sweet without being overly sweet. Chunks of berry were in nearly every sip. I shared an order of tater tots with my brother and they were perfectly crispy on the outside. Prices here are incredibly reasonable and cheaper than most fast food places; my cheeseburger combo with a small fry and drink was less than $10 before tax. I'd stop here again, I just wouldn't expect much from service next time. read more

The cheese sticks were over cooked, hollow, the steak sandwich was okay, not great, but the biggest issue was there no Quality Control/Safety Seal on the delivery! I've lived in Modesto since 2019. I've always passed by Sno-White Drive in many times. The place always caught my attention but never stopped by until this last Friday 2/27. I mentioned that I've it was my first time there and he made a joke about singing a song for 1st timers. I ordered a regular meal (burger,fries & a drink) he said that I wouldn't be disappointed. I will not go there again. I had the worst cheeseburger I have ever ordered. The bun was huge and very dry and stale. The meat was so thin it was almost nonexistent. Where was the cheese? It wasn't even like a normal slice. I couldn't even taste it. The tiny tomato slice was also thin, green and woody. I had to take the top bun off to even eat it and it was tasteless. I was super hungry so I ate it, but could have thrown it out and not thought twice about. French fries were also awful. Never again!!! Would give it a zero if I could. read more

So I went today to get their famous inferno wings, which are my favorite. I don't live in Modesto. I live up in the hills so when I go down to Modesto, I try to go to my favorite spots to get good food that I can't get on a daily basis where I live. And today I picked Snow-White. Usually I'm very pleased but today was not that day. I ordered their spicy wings and when I took a bite (already on the road home which is an hour in a half away so it's not like I could go back) not spicy at all. Not even a hint of spice. I don't know if they're selling spicy and not spicy wings now but I got absolutely not spicy just regular fried wings!!! On a road trip and wanted to support more historic places than fast food chains, this was well worth the detour off the freeway. Cheeseburgers, curly fries, and the Philly Cheesesteak were all fantastic. They even have the little nugget ice for the sodas. Pretty small, a couple of outdoor tables and several booths inside. Wow, I haven't had a burger like that since I was a young girl & my Aunt Sandy took us to Dinos Diner! Food was out of this world, fresh made, hot & made with love. The girls were very sweet & professional! We live an hours drive but believe me we'll be going back regularly. Prices are reasonable & the ambiance made me feel at ease & brought back all the great memories of childhood. It took me 35 years to find a great old fashioned burger. I've lived in Stockton my whole life and never went to the Sno-whites we had there while it was still there, so of course I decided to try it since I was in the area. This place is really run down. The inside was dirty and dingy...good thing I took my food to go because the flies were bugging! The cashier was very nice and took my order as soon as I was ready to order. My sausage burrito was wrapped perfectly, it was huge. Great portions of sausage. They use hash browns instead of potatoes but they were cooked well and crispy.
