My family visited Ice Cream Company & Grill in Modesto a couple weeks ago. We ordered The Clown sundaes for the kids, Oreo Brownie Sundae and Small sundaes for the adults, and a Chicken Avocado Sandwich. All of the ice cream was delicious, and most impressive was the sandwich. It's an "order at the counter" type of establishment, but there is plenty of seating and self-serve ice water available for the guests. They also hire folks with barriers to employment, including individuals with disabilities, and partner with the county in a job training program for young persons with disabilities. I love knowing I'm supporting this effort with my patronage. I would highly recommend all of the ice cream and we'll definitely be back for the Chicken Avocado Sandwich!! read more

I came to check out the ice cream co for the first time in MANY years to find Waldo, and I'm glad I did. I appreciate that they have done non dairy ice cream options in the menu. That was big reason I hadn't come in so long. I have not tried the food or even really looked at the menu so I'm not sure about plant based options. The service was great. I looked around for Waldo, got my stamp, then ordered ice cream. I got the non dairy mint and cookie, it was delicious, 10/10, no notes. I'm not sure if they rotate non dairy flavors or just keep their staple options on the menu. I'll have to go back to find out. The inside is probably the same as it's been for many years. Visited the restaurant a few days ago since I was given a gift card and I did not enjoy the food.I ordered a simple cheeseburger and it was probably the worst burger I've ever had. The patty itself had some weird seasoning on it and the overall sandwich was very mushy. I could not finish the whole thing. I tried the coffee Oreo ice cream and it was good but I feel that the price per scoop was a little high. I'll go back for ice cream but I'm definitely turned off by the food. read more

I love coming to this establishment and supporting everything it stands for. The people that work here are always so friendly and welcoming. The ice cream is so good. My favorite is the chocolate chip cookie dough. Never disappoints. I read another review that said they ordered ice cream online. Not sure anyone in their right mind who would do that. It's ice cream of course it's gonna melt. This place is designed to come in and enjoy or pick up and eat right after. Went there yesterday night 7:30pm for a hot fudge sundae. I paid extra to have almonds on my sundae. So glad we ate there because they forgot to put the hot fudge on my sundae!!! I order a double and I got ice cream lots of whip cream and they used chocolate sauce on the top for decorations. First of all never had chocolate sauce on a hot fudge and don't like chocolate sauce!!!! Then realised they didn't even put any hot fudge on it!!!!! When I took my sundae back to the counter, I was told "oh let us give you a little more!" What it had none on it! By that point I had ate about 1/4 before realising there was none any where on it. There was no, I'm sorry or would you like us to remake it? They handed me a small cup of hot fudge for me to pour on it myself. I was VERY disappointed! I don't live that close so to go there is an effort. I love their toasted almond ice cream. The sundae cost $9.50 with the extra charges for almond. I will tell you in the past my go to was the French dip with bay of chips & that staple pickle on the plate. The bubble gum ice cream was to die for. Had real gum balls they mixed in by hand. Some tiny portion options and fat free or low fat options would be nice and appreciated. This is a great little spot with a classic feel! Our banana split was great, this is the large size & 3 of us shared it. I can only give 4 out of 5 stars because they had no cookie dough! That is my absolute favorite & required flavor at ice cream joints. They said that they had unfortunately run out, I was super bummed.
