It's been many years since my last review and yogurt mill has evolved. They have so many non dairy options on a regular basis now. I come often so I appreciate the rewards system. Download the app, sign up, scan your barcode, earn swirls, get $5 or $10 off an order, and a reward on your birthday I believe. You no longer have to call ahead for flavors, you can go on their website, instagram, or Facebook. I get the açaí bowls pretty often, they are yummy. I sub the coconut granola for regular granola. I most recently ordered the vanilla oat milk with the non dairy peach and it was delish, think peaches and cream. I also love the non dairy orange flavor with the vanilla oat milk, takes me back to the Orange Julius days. The drive through line is frequently very long, but I've accepted it. It is the yogurt mill way. If you choose to sit in the drive through line, whatever your reasons, car full of kids, a sleeping baby, a disability, you need to catch up on texts or emails, it truly doesn't take that long and it's nice to have the drive through option available. The staff is friendly and helpful. I remember coming to yogurt mill in high school and my friends working, 20 some odd years ago. I love, love, love the nostalgia this place brings me. There is inside and outdoor seating available. It's usually not so busy that you can't find a seat. I've literally never had an issue when I wanted to dine in. There's a water bowl for pets if you happen to have a dog with you. We sometimes cruise the Virginia corridor with the doggies, so it's a thoughtful touch that they have that available for fur friends. The music is present but not overwhelming, can't say that I've ever really even noticed it. Check it out, explore the flavors and toppings or stick to the classics, the world is yours. We like to come through the drive-through after we exercise our dog. however, today I was waiting through the drive-through window calling out for at least a couple of minutes and then when I got to the front of the cashier, the young cashier said oh yeah I was ummm. This was the first yogurt mill location I ever tried and we loved it. We've been back multiple times since. They had a lotus cookie butter shake that was to die for. We also tried the peanut butter shake and the cookie brownie shake. So good. I do wish pricing was a little lower then I'd be back alot more often. The decor is a blast from the past which I love. It feels like my childhood. I love how this location looks like a little cottage too and it smells so good everytime. I absolutely love this place! We walked here with our family and have always enjoyed this location. During the summers, the location can be busy. We went after Thanksgiving and it was pretty empty! Since these run pretty large I got the child sized with the topping layered. It was decorated for the holidays! We also were able to bring our little dog in the while we ate our frozen yogurt. Have you seen the lines! Omg, I just started going here when I feel like a special treat and I live so close but will be moving soon. I see why they have lines ALL the time, even in the winter. Whenever you're in the mood for a tasty cool treat - Stop into your local Yogurt Mill. Don't worry for me, I'm moving but there's another Yogurt Mill next to that house too! On a hot Modesto day - this is the place to be! Whether you want to walk-in for your treat or drive-thru, they got you covered! They have ample indoor & outdoor seating but it is quite small inside so if you have a bigger group, it could get a bit cramped. Today, I decided to brave the drive-thru line - it was about 6 cars deep. Even with the long line, it moved really fast! I ordered a large Honey Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles (layered). I am pretty boring when it comes to ice cream --- I know what I like and I stick with it! Just because I am boring, doesn't mean you have to be too. They have different items to choose from --- cold brew shakes, smoothies, "outrageous cups," tea shakes, & last but not least - they have plant-based acai bowls. if there was an option to give zero stars i would! unfortunately, this night in particular tuesday july 7th 2026 around 9pm, i came to the yogurt mill off of roseburg ave. they first got the people in front of us orders wrong. then while we were trying to order the girl taking our order had her mic on and was talking to other people at the same time in which we would have to repeat our order multiple times. not to mention she was also rushing to complete order when we were not done ordering , still they got one of our açaí bowls wrong after asking for original tart substituted with vanilla oatmilk. while at the window they gave us one acai bowl and told us to have a nice night. the girl who took our order then told her coworker "they have another bowl" and closed the window. after receiving both bowls and leaving the drive thru we had to go back inside to get another spoon, no one greeted us until other customers were looking at them while looking back at us. i have been coming to this yogurt mill for years and normally have a overall good experience! whoever was working tonight's shift shouldn't be! read more

Since your posted closing time is 10:30 PM, I expected to be able to place my order. My wife is currently pregnant and was craving Yogurt Mill, which is why we made the effort to come before closing. Unfortunately, instead of receiving service, I was met with rudeness and disrespect. Two employees at the window belittled me, making me feel dumb and unwelcome. Rather than taking my order in a timely manner, they chose to degrade me as a person, which left me humiliated and upset. I value Yogurt Mill and have always considered it a place that treats customers with kindness. This experience, however, was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. This Yogurtmill location was amazing. They have cute movies playing and games. I ordered the mango chamoy cup and it gave me Disneyland vibes. It was so refreshing and delicious and is a great summer treat. The worker Sarah who helped me was kind and polite not to mention helpful. First time coming here and it did not disappoint! I finally found an actual FROYO spot in Modesto! Many options of toppings as well as the base, they have açaí bowls, smoothies, ice cream! They have a drive thru at this location which i thought was pretty cool! They were pretty busy and well staffed but it dos take kind of long to place order and receive it despite the fact that there were plenty of staff, the also work with doordash. Maybe payback for taking 3 minutes to order instead of 30 seconds. The second visit i tried to rush my order as to not get bad service and a taller tower of yogurt, still a small mound...3rd time I was seriously trying to stay positive and again, skimpy portion and rude service. I usually love the Yogurt Mill but they need to work on their customer service. They need to figure out a system for closing time. Most places serve people who are in line waiting. I know that summer gets busy but if you're not letting you're customers know that you will not be served after 10:35 when they were there at 10:05 in line, that's not ok. I just wasted 30 minutes waiting to get up to the window for them to say we won't serve you. You need to have a stopping point so that your customers can decide if they want to wait and possibly not get served. When I asked why they didn't come out and say this or put a sign up, they were rude and could care less. Not professional Yogurt Mill. Especially when you have loyal customers. I just left a review at one of the yogurt mills 3 days ago (they have 3 stores in Modesto). But I ordered from them today & 3 days ago and got my order through DoorDash. Today and 3 days ago they shorted my order with the same item. I got a swirl and 2 orders of the 2 scoop sugar cookie dough. And both times I got my order it was short one order of the Cooke dough. And with todays order they even wrote on the receipt "sorry, we only have chocolate chip left,"... they had the receipt in hand before packaging it and still got the order wrong.
