I hate leaving bad reviews, but this was hands down the worst pizza I've ever had. It was disgusting. The sauce tasted like strong tomato paste, not tomato sauce; it was very thick and left a horrible, strong aftertaste. The pepperoni and sausage were extremely scarce, with very minimal toppings. Cheese was adequate but nothing special. The crust was weird and definitely not thick. This is a really terrible pizza! We even tried dissecting it and tasting the cheese, bread etc. alone to find any redeeming qualities but every ingredient was bad tasting. Nothing to do with pizza, everything to do with customer service.. The most interesting interaction at a pizza parlor hear in Ceres. Seems like some of these restaurants have now decided that potential clients are not even worth $.50 to them. I'm here waiting for my granddaughter to get out of school I needed to go to the restroom the proprietor advised me that to go to the restroom I had to buy something and to be sure to wipe down the toilet before I leave. When I was done going to the restroom he actually insisted that I buy something I asked him if my future business was worth the $.50 that he made on that soda. He advised that it was. I was really excited for the calzone because it looked bomb in some of the pics, went to pick it up for a bite in the car and it fell open like this, RAW dough!! Unmelted cheese, almost burnt on the outside.. had to drive home and cook it open faced and tasted alright after cooking, not too much special about the flavor. Hope no one gets sick from this. A review and a message to owner. 1st time eating here. May be the last time. If that type of cheese is being used on pizza and in calzones regularly then that needs to be changed. That is way too much ricotta cheese in the calzone and we didn't get hardly any meat in the calzone. The limit presence of the meat we ordered with the calzone probably made the taste worst. I probably would have been happier with more grease. The calzone isn't really a calzone here, its a big slice of pizza folded over. That type of cheese isn't ideal at all for pizzas. Other type of cheese such as mozzarella should be regular and ricotta should be an option if anything. I can understand being different from other pizza places but if thats really the case don't name this establishment "Chicago's Pizza" when you are located in Ceres Ca preparing pizza with Ricotta cheese! 2 stars for at least the comparable cost. Ordered for the 1st time thru Doordash and it was pretty good. The crust was different, maybe Indian style? I'm not sure but it was different in a good way. We also tried the cheese sticks, garlic sticks and chicken wings and all were tasty nothing extraordinary. For the pricing however, I don't think I'd go back. read more

THE WORST. Ordered delivery online, order was expected to get to me in an hour, which is already a long time to wait, after 2 hours and no delivery I call the restaurant and both people I spoke to were extremely rude and just weren't listening. Told me they'd give me a call back and never did, finally I called and found out they apparently never got my order even though I received a confirmation email and everything, asked if I wanted to wait an hour or so and they can deliver my order. Must to go place. One of the Best pizza places in the town. I mostly order family size pizza & customized it to my preferences it's always perfectly made. I ate from couple different Chicago pizza places but this one is the best. Pros: 1. They make the pizza exactly as you order. 2. Very Polite & friendly staff. 3. No more than 30 minutes wait if you order in store. 4. Huge selection to choose from. 5. There Indian pizza recipes are delightful Cons: Sometimes they didn't answer phone calls may be short handed as this is family owned pizza & they are extremely busy but they need to take care of this issue. My kids wanted pizza for dinner but me and my husband wanted to try somewhere new so we went here and we were not disappointed. I'm not sure if they were the owners but it was a male and female there and they were both very sweet. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in till we walked out. Just ordered a large cheese pizza, simple enough, right? Was told it would be 55mins, I was like okay, but can you call me when the pizza is ready? The employee says, no you can call back at 8 and check. I call back at 8 to check status, which was 35-40 mins after the order is placed. I was told that my order was never even taken or processed! The service here is horrible, I ordered two large pizzas, one tandoori and one chicken tikka and cheese breadsticks over the phone. I had my husband pick it up and when he got home (mind that it was a long drive), it was the wrong order, when we called to sort this out the person over the phone kept denying that they made a mistake and so I asked them to check and see who's right or wrong, they put me on hold and a couple minutes later hung up. My niece asked the other day if I had ever tried Chicago Pizza which is very near me in Ceres. I had not, so tonight I did. 1) About $5 more than Mountain Mike's, my personal favorite. 2) When ordering online they gave me a 70 minute time frame. It arrived sooner than that and VERY hot! 3) Sauce and crust pretty good. 4) I ordered my go-to meat-lovers pizza. Meat pieces were too small to be distinguishable, with no separation of flavors; the Mountain Mikes pizza has big pieces of ham, salami, chunks of sausage, and slices of pepperoni; all the meat is identifiable and you can taste them. VERDICT: Mountain Mike's Pizza is much better for the money! Disappointing because this place is so close I could save money by picking it up in stead of having it delivered. read more
