Fantastic pizza! A bit pricey, but it is very good pizza and is just a bit off the highway if u happen to be just passing through the area.

Huge xl pizza for 15 and some change but it was worth it considering the place down the road wanted 25 for a pizza half the size...

Got a couple medium pizzas -- one the super combo or whatever they call it, and a pepperoni. Crust was great and the sauce was good. The toppings I'd say were just ok -- on par with the better chains places like Mountain Mikes or Round Table. Right now I don't have a fave pizza place up here in El Dorado, in Pizza Plus' case the main drawback is that the prices are a bit high. Though I heard they accept some competitor's coupons, which if true would put them at my #1 spot for El Dorado pizza (so far). read more

Yummy! We love this place. Occasionally the pizza will get a bit soggy in the middle if we take out. The cheese and garlic bread sticks are fantastic. Often we will just get those and a salad bar. The salad bar is good, pretty basic but I am not into crazy toppings on my salad so I like it. We love to support the local community as well. read more

They're kind of pricey but its the best pizza in town!! If you love pizza crust then this is the place for you!!

We were on our way up 50 to Tahoe last night and got a craving for pizza. We Yelped it and when I saw other reviews saying people drove hours for this pizza, I figured it was worth a blind try. We called in and, not knowing the menu, just ordered a pepperoni. When we found the place, we walked in and were drooling over the smell. We saw other medium pizzas coming out and started to think we'd need more food, so I ordered a small veggie pizza as well. We scarfed the pepperoni on the spot and took the veggie to go. Both were out of this world. It's easy to make a pizza, but it's damn hard to make a good pizza, and these guys can do it. The crust is amazing! My only complaint is that they had no prices posted... anywhere. It was like they erased all their prices off the board and just left the food options. I found it to be a little pricey but for the quality, I'll get over it. This place is worth a visit! read more

This is our 2nd day in a row here for end of season parties both days ordered different types of pizza and both days this has been the worst experience and the most disgusting pizzas I've ever eaten trust have roiled the dough so thin in the middle it's like a soggy raw tortilla and so thick at the end..and the dough has virtually no flavor I think frozen pizza dough tastes better than this! The pizza sauce tastes fresh & their ham is amazing. Unlike the chains, you can get a gluten free pizza here which is thin, crispy & delish! I have a friend who has to eat gluten free & she is so happy to have this available. read more

Went here based off reviews and was not impressed. Showed up at 9:07 on a Saturday night (when their hours say they are open until 10) it felt like we were intruding on a group all hanging out together. The salad bar was already put away. Not impressed with the pizza either. read more

We have had pizza here about 4 times now and each time it has been good, but it doesn't blow us away. We mainly go here because it is close to us and they give a discount if your a member of Powerhouse Gym, which is nice of them. Every pizza we have got so far is pretty soggy in the center and makes it hard to eat without a fork. I think they make the crust a little to thin for some of the juicy toppings they put on. All in all its a good place to stop in and get a bite to eat, has a nice little pizza joint atmosphere. The kids that work there are always nice and they usually have sports on the TVs. read more

Best pizza, BY FAR, in the county! The pepperoni is the best you can buy leaving very little grease. Also, this is a family business and not a big hugh corporation. These are neighbors hiring neighborhood kids to learn, at their first jobs, how to relate to people. I was in need of a transplant some 6 yrs ago. Chris and his family put together a fund raiser at the parlor and helped alot in saving my life. I've gotten take-out Gluten-Free pizza at Pizza Plus probably 25 times and it's truly excellent! I had been meaning to review the place for quite some time, and had a four-star review in mind. Why four? Because, for GF at least, it's pretty expensive. Then I found out that if you mention Yelp at the register they give you a major discount! The best gluten free pizza in Placerville!

Pizza isn't bad quality, but certainly isn't anything to get excited about. Staff always seems like they are ready to go home, like putting away the salad bar far before closing and then upset when you want a salad..I'vr Ordered a pizza with extra red sauce and gotte half the amount as usual. It's frustrating when you pay the price for quality and only sometimes get it. Occasionally the pizza is good, just enough to keep you coming back hoping for another good one like that one time...the place has potential but is currently mediocre. read more

If you want hand-tossed pizza, this is the place in El Dorado County. (Owner) Chris and his crew pile on just enough toppings to make the pizza either "foldable" or "forkable"...a mouthfull! The dough is the heart and soul of any pizza and Pizza Plus has a medium-thick crust that's a little chewy, with a crisp bottom-perfect! It also has that just-risen fresh flavor that I love! The best pie is The Big "R" with just enough meat and veggies for everyone. A little bit more costly than the big chains, but it's worth it! Sandwiches (hot or cold) are generous, and for lunch, the "Number 3" (salad and garlic bread) is perfect! Go there! read more

We usually come to Placerville a couple times a year. We have our favorite places to go but this time we came to stay for a few days and wanted to try new places. Kept reading the reviews about "Best pizza in town". Well-they get our vote! Great pizza, friendly staff, we will definitely go back! We ordered a small combo pizza, hot wings, 2 salad bars and a pitcher of beer for less than 30 dollars. It was all good but the pizza was awesome! They were advertising that they now had hot wings so we tried them and they were very tasty and meaty. We were quite pleased! We will go back! read more
