This is a very quaint and great place for Indian food. The pizza is deliciously good, perfect crust and the flavor is great! I love Indian food , I'm glad we have one here!! The chicken is so tender and perfect! I'f you haven't tried it yet, it's a must!! So much selection to offer !!

We ordered Indian Chicken Tiki Masala and Butter Chicken pizza! So good love the crust!!

Prices are a bit high. 13 dollars for a salad bar is a lot considering there's no broccoli, no cauliflower, not really a lot of side choices to choose from and there was no bacon and it looked like it was all empty. One large pizza, two medium pizzas, three drinks, two salad bars, $130. That's a little pricey.

I wanna like and support this place. God knows we could use a little more diversity when it comes to restaurants around Placerville. I love Indian food. Shout out to Sanskrit in Folsom, my favorite! We ordered a mango lassi, a chicken tikka pizza in large, and chicken wings. The mango lassi was thick and creamy, and you can definitely taste the cardamom which I appreciated, but my husband did not. The kiddo enjoyed it. The tikka masala pizza was OK. BD said it was all right, the kiddo did not like it, and I found it tasting like tinned tomatoes. Or maybe the raw onion was too strong? Like imagine eating curry and sprinkling chopped raw red onions on top. Almost like the curry did not have a chance to meld together yet. After letting it rest for a night, I air fried the leftovers and it was OK. I did ask for extra tikka sauce so my pizza wasn't dry like a previous reviewer said. And I didn't mind the crust which had a nice bite to it and was not under done. The chicken wings were soft as it's baked and not fried to a crisp. It was my favorite part of the meal as I chose one of the Indian spices (the pickling one). The meal comes with a Smokey Chipotle sauce and ranch. Those didn't go well with what we ordered. Wish there was a chutney sauce too. BD does not like floppy soft skin on his wings so this was a no for him. I like Tika masala curry, but my favorite is butter chicken. I wanna like the idea of Indian pizza, but I'm not sure it translates well. However, I think they can make a killing offering a chicken butter curry that they can scoop up with a melty cheese pizza. It's giving curry and naan vibes and happens to be trending all over social media currently. I bet the regular pizzas and wings would be good. Kiddo's friends say they like the regular pizzas. I bet they'd do well if they offered normal Indian curries on the side too. It doesn't have to be on pizza. Good luck!

    vegan Desi Garden Pizza

vegan Desi Garden Pizza, with no cheese due to allergies and preference. Delicious balance of flavors - I suggest you ask for extra mushrooms and put jalapeños on the side as we did. The Tikka sauce has a warm, almost hot spice, which was good for me. Lots of cilantro, which we enjoyed, balanced with tomatoes. They brought two creamy sauces that had milk.

Butter chicken pizza and tandoori chicken wings

I recommend the butter chicken pizza and tandoori wings. So delicious, I couldn't stop eating. It was so addictive!

Chicken Tikka Masala pizza. The crust had a nice crunch & the pizza was flavorful. Try the side sauces drizzled on top. The Indian beer is smooth and tasty. We will be back.

This place caught our eye on a late Monday night being one of the few restaurants open. We got the mango lassie, mango mojito, and chicken tikka masala pizza. Everything was excellent!! What a unique fusion of food from different cultures. The arcade kept us occupied while we waited for our meal.

The menu was extensive; I wished I had a bigger stomach to order more. After placing our order, the waitress offered us a complimentary soup. It was so yummy. You could hear our spoon scraping the bottom of the bowls. We started with chicken samosa. The order came with 2 large crispy, flaky, and delicious fried treats. The stuffing was well spiced. Remember that Ratatouille scene with the critic's flash back? This samosa did that for me. It transported me to my good friend's home where her aunties were in the kitchen making these pockets of culture and traditions. Highly recommend! I ordered the chicken biriani. It was flavorful. The rice was fluffy. The spice level was on target (I ordered mine medium heat). My daughter ordered the chicken curry. She loved it. She kept saying "This is yummy" the whole time. My husband ordered the lamb curry spice level spicy. It cleared his sinus headache :) apart from it being spicy it was also very tasty. We also ordered garlic naan: garlicky and fluffy. So, if you happen to be passing through, I suggest swinging by. If you happen to live close enough to make your way to Taste of Himalaya, I suggest get in your car and try this place. The drive will be worth it. I think the locals know what a gem of a place they have right in their backyard. I saw several to go orders while we were there. TLDR: Service: 5 stars Food: 5 stars

The restaurant is soo much nicer than their former location next to the Highway House. They offer a huge variety of flavorful veggie and meat dishes. Their saag paneer, veggie korma, butter chicken, and naan continue to be our faves. Tip: They bake the naan fresh after you've placed your order. You may want to wait 5-10 minutes before heading to the buffet. Otherwise, the naan arrives after you've finished your first plate.

I really…read morevacillated between the 4 and 5 star rank because there are so many things that are right about this restaurant. But there is something missing...? Maybe it's just a wow factor. The food is solid and I've eaten at a LOT of Indian restaurants. Just mostly before doing any reviews it's pretty much my fave, just not a lot where I reside. I digress! Service was good we only waited a few minutes at the front before someone realized we were there and from that point we have been pretty well attended to. Waiter was attentive and its busy Mother's Day Holiday. The ambiance is nice, clean, comfortable, upscale, decor is mood setting, music is spot on. What is boils down to is the food... it's good, but is it the best Indian food I've ever had? Well, sorry no. The base flavor is great, but something felt like it was missing? The vindaloo spicy could be a LOT hotter, and it's got a lot of tomato. Usually when you have the sauces over time the spices just dance in your mouth and you get different hits of things and I felt like something was muted? The back end complexity I'm used to isn't there. But don't get me wrong-we will likely be back because the food is solid and a close enough drive. Great location. Maybe I'm being too hard? But it's one of my favorite foods. The boys loved the hearty large pieces of meat... I was less of a fan but saw their view point, e.g. more filling, less dry. The chutneys, kinda standard fare until you get to that spicy one and then WOW! That's amazing! We got a mild, medium and spicy leveled sauces. For your average foodie that doesn't eat "spicy" food I would say it's spot on... for someone who is looking for something nuclear, how do they request that?? Need to know how to order something REALLY spicy... bring the pain...!!! Barely broke a sweat on the spicy vindaloo and spicy coconut chicken... but tasty! * we talked about it on the way home and we were thinking maybe because it was Mother's Day weekend. There was high demand so the sauces might be a little young too? Might not have had enough time to really flourish and simmer. Naan was yummy and fresh. Chai super flavorful and rich. Lassi was solid great taste, not really chilled so if you are looking for a chilled lassi, just be aware... The other thing I noticed as far as service goes there was nothing that just came out with the meal. I'm kind of spoiled and that I've gone to Indian restaurants... usually have something served on the house like a papadum or naan bread or raita or rice with meal? Granted it's been a little while so maybe this is something that's going away with the times? Hope they will have fennel on the way out. *update they didn't but that's OK. They had candy. :)

The menu is entirely vegetarian and centers on traditional South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, and thali platters. One of the highlights of the experience was the dosa. The crepe itself was thin and crisp with a light golden color, while the filling had well-balanced spices that added depth without overwhelming the dish. Another standout element is the accompanying chutneys and sambar. These sauces play an important role in South Indian cuisine, and the restaurant provides multiple chutneys that add different layers of flavor ranging from coconut to spiced lentil preparations. The thali is also worth mentioning. It presents a variety of small dishes on a single plate, allowing you to experience multiple flavors and textures in one meal. It is a great way to explore different aspects of South Indian cooking. The restaurant itself has a casual and welcoming atmosphere that fits the style of the food. Many diners appear to be regular customers who come specifically for the authentic flavors. Service during my visit was efficient, and the kitchen kept dishes moving quickly even during busy periods. Overall, Mylapore South Indian Vegetarian offers a strong representation of traditional South Indian cuisine in the Folsom area. If you enjoy dosa, idli, and other regional specialties, this is definitely a place worth visiting.
