Decided to give this place a try since we were really craving pizza. Unfortunately, our group was disappointed. Tried the chili paneer pizza, i think that is how you spell it. Pizza crust was really chewy, maybe undercooked? Flavor was lacking, which is surprising for a curry pizza sauce. I never had it on pizza, but not a fan. Hopefully they can work on a better crust. Prices are a bit high. 13 dollars for a salad bar is a lot considering there's no broccoli, no cauliflower, not really a lot of side choices to choose from and there was no bacon and it looked like it was all empty. I wanna like and support this place. God knows we could use a little more diversity when it comes to restaurants around Placerville. I love Indian food. Shout out to Sanskrit in Folsom, my favorite! We ordered a mango lassi, a chicken tikka pizza in large, and chicken wings. The mango lassi was thick and creamy, and you can definitely taste the cardamom which I appreciated, but my husband did not. The kiddo enjoyed it. The tikka masala pizza was OK. BD said it was all right, the kiddo did not like it, and I found it tasting like tinned tomatoes. Or maybe the raw onion was too strong? Like imagine eating curry and sprinkling chopped raw red onions on top. Almost like the curry did not have a chance to meld together yet. After letting it rest for a night, I air fried the leftovers and it was OK. I did ask for extra tikka sauce so my pizza wasn't dry like a previous reviewer said. And I didn't mind the crust which had a nice bite to it and was not under done. The chicken wings were soft as it's baked and not fried to a crisp. It was my favorite part of the meal as I chose one of the Indian spices (the pickling one). The meal comes with a Smokey Chipotle sauce and ranch. Those didn't go well with what we ordered. Wish there was a chutney sauce too. BD does not like floppy soft skin on his wings so this was a no for him. I like Tika masala curry, but my favorite is butter chicken. I wanna like the idea of Indian pizza, but I'm not sure it translates well. However, I think they can make a killing offering a chicken butter curry that they can scoop up with a melty cheese pizza. It's giving curry and naan vibes and happens to be trending all over social media currently. I bet the regular pizzas and wings would be good. Kiddo's friends say they like the regular pizzas. I bet they'd do well if they offered normal Indian curries on the side too. It doesn't have to be on pizza. Good luck! read more

A number of weeks ago we decided to try out Indian Pizza & Bar for the first time, and what a nice surprise that was. I grew up here, and Round Table Pizza was always kind of dark, that felt depressing. Indian Pizza & Bar is just the opposite, it has a bright and happy atmosphere, it's very open, has very comfortable seating, and has a great menu to select from. The person who helped us with our order, was really nice, had this cheerful personality, and went out of her way to make sure we were being taken care of. Now to the most important thing, the pizzas. It was like taking a step back in time, the pizzas were absolutely covered with toppings, the pizza sauce was great, and had this sweet taste to it, and the mozzarella cheese was nice and chewy, the pizza was delicious. To top it off, the prices they charge are very reasonable, considering how well the pizzas are made. Getting a good pizza after covid hit, just hasn't been available in this area. Topping are a scarcity, where seeing the crust has become more common, the cheese quality has been in the toilet to be quite frank, either the cheese doesn't taste good, or like it should, in the last place I went to, they put cheddar cheese to cover the fact that there wasn't any mozzarella cheese. What has been upsetting is that we were paying high prices for mediocre pizzas. Finally, there is a place to get a really great pizza in Placerville area. read more

What used to be a run of the mill Round Table Pizza, is now a fun and exotic addition to Placerville. If you like Indian food and if you like pizza, you will love this heavenly mashup of both of those foods. So I saw this place opened and was offering wings. I wanted to get some but I like my wings cooked properly. I called this spot first to ask 2 questions. 1 if they had any flour/breading on them and 2 if they were baked or fried. Let's just say the call didn't go too good because the young lady didn't understand what I was asking. I decided to go in and give it a try anyway. I get there and just skipped my original questions. I wanted to order the 16 wings and get 2 different flavors. Buffalo and the garlic. I wanted them extra crispy/well done. The girl taking the order once again had trouble understanding me and went and got the young guy in the back who came up and helped her out. This is how it went. The note they made on the order looked right but it was only under 1 of the 8 pieces. This is because it was rang up as 2 individual 8 pieces. That cost $2 more. No big deal. A little bit later I get 8 buffalo wings.. Right away I can tell they are baked. Also they are those big fatty chewy frozen wings. I started eating them and was very disappointed. You can barely get any meat off of them or find any edible parts. I had a huge pile waste sitting there. No one ever came and checked on how the food was. I was waiting and waiting. I figured they forgot the other wings and I was about to tell them to just give me a refund for the rest since they were so terrible. Just as I was about to get up the guy comes out with the second round of wings. These were actually extra crispy and cooked a lot better and were edible. I had told him how bad the first ones were and showed him the plate and explained they were not cooked enough. Also one of the larger ones was still cold in the middle! He apologized and offered me a couple extra wings. I didn't really want more wings but he insisted and brought me some of the tandoori wings. The flavors of the sauces were the best part of the experience. Probably won't be back for wings. read more

My first mistake was having high hopes, especially having some great Indian Pizza in San Francisco. The crust is nothing to write home about. It's thick and too doughy to enjoy the flavors of the toppings, but it's good if that's what you expect, much like Round Table. The toppings are just ok. The Tikka Masala pizza was dry. I was hoping that they'd at least use tikka masala sauce for the pizza sauce. If they did, I didn't notice. I think they could really benefit from going gourmet and re-imagining the ingredients. I don't think the combo of ingredients is bad, per se, but they should definitely up their game in making it taste better. I will not go back. I would much rather go to my local Indian restaurant and just get traditional food, at least the flavors don't disappoint. read more

Great addition to placerville. Hubby and I got the Achari wings and chicken curry pizza. They also give you a yoghurt and curry sauce side bottles if needed. Wings were tender with great flavor and the pizza was different but good. They also have american style pizza if needed. Service was very appreciative and made sure we were happy.
