What do you do after you leave madams Oregon? You go get a jumbo slice. It was really good and tasty.

The Pepperoni Jumbo Slice hits!! Huge slice, crispy crust, and generously topped with pepperoni. After trying other Pizza spots in AdMo, this has become my go-to for late-night cravings--and yes, it's just as good sober!

A little over cooked, but I can definitely get the idea. My friends from out of time wanted to experience this, so I figured that this was the best place to take them to. But obviously, this is on par with insomnia cookies for spots to late night munch. The lady was really kind and helpful as well. Definitely give this place a try to cure the munchies.

So we had been dancing from 11-2am in admo and heading home... one of my friends said oh wait pizza pitt stop! I said I'm good I'd take a bite of someone's ... they looked at each other, then ordered me my own.. Now I have not had / regular flour / regular cheese / sauce pizza in years... so I was so skeptical this was going to be consumed- WELP I ATE THE ENTIRE SLICE!! Talk about nostalgia of pizza reminiscent of what we'd get at arcades / bowling alleys / skating rinks etc... the flavor was so old school processed - but in a tasty salty doughy way! I was terrified I would get sick from not being used to digesting those ingredients- but I was ok!! It honestly hit the spot after a full night !

While waiting for a comedy show, we walked by this store. It looked like it would be quick. If you're in the mood for pizza or looking for a quick bite, their slices are usually hot and ready in a few minutes. The jumbo meat slice is especially delicious when it's fresh out of the oven. Pizza mart is slowly becoming part of our tradition to grab a slice after/in the intermission of watching stand-up comedy at Hotbed just down the street :)

teeny baby pizza they call "large" on the menu

This place is a scam. Ordered 2 "large" pies of pizza, what we got were teeny tiny baby pies that I at first thought was a joke before realizing it's a scam. Tasted like costco pizza, except the baby pie they market as "large" costs just shy of $20 a pie. Meanwhile a costco pie is actual full-size and half the price. See picture; I added my finger for scale because the slice is too tiny to be be believed otherwise.

Hot and ready!!

So far, this place has been good and ok, which is what I'm leaving my rating for now. The three times that I've come here have been late at night when I'm in the mood for some good pizza. Twice I've had pizza that was previously warmed and then served and the other time my pizza was piping hot with deliciousness! I usually get the pepperoni and just dive right in when I receive my box. The manager (I think) says that its the original Jumbo Slice and that its been at the location since the early 2000s. The pizza slices are GINORMOUS! If you are lactose intolerant, you may want to steer clear of this establishment because its a big hefty amount you'll be consuming lol. You can definitely eat this pizza in multiple servings, and I can only imagine how many calories is has. They do have other options if you're not able to eat the pizza. I recommend this place, especially when its busy because when it is...OMGawt! It is amazing!!

This is a nice and no frills pizza place to get a great, big, and quick slice of pizza into the late night! This establishment is very simple, but very good. The individual who served me when I came was very nice, too. Since there were no plastic knives left, she came to me with her pizza cutter and cut the pizza in half for me! The only downside was that there was no recycling bin that I could see, as of this writing, and a lot of the things could be recycled like the pizza boxes and soda cans. I also wish they had a few more drink options. Other than that, all was good! Definitely worth a try!

There is no "we" in Pizza. Every pizza is a personal pizza if you try hard enough. You may have many choices for a jumbo slice at 2 am (most are open til 3), Pizza Mart jumbo slice is my favorite. Jumbo slices are large and cheesy. There is garlic, cheese, oregano and pepper flakes. This is often my post ER wind down spot, decompressing after a shift amongst the post bar crowd There is more of a menu (fried cheese, fries and other stuff) I don't think I've seen anyone get anything except pizza from the pizza mart. Not sure why they chose to have a bathroom paper dispenser to provide napkins in the dining area of a restaurant, but at least there are napkins. If you find yourself in Adams Morgan, Jumbo slice of one type or another is an unwritten rule.

Hand to pizza size comparison - AMAZING

Don't judge a book by its cover. Walking past this place next to the fancy hipster new gen. eateries this one doesn't look like much but there is delicious and super jumbo pizza inside. Been to a lot of random pizza places - originally familiar and my fav. with Lorenzo's pizza in south Philly - this one's got to beat it though and the owner of 26 years definitely has got his pizza making down. Like the toppings to dough ratio held up really well, pizza fold after pizza fold. My mind (and belly) is still trying to comprehend the pizza size and price. Both Jumbo Slice were $10. Not bad in my books. Will be going back but please try out seriously!

GO GO GO GO TRUST ME!!! IF I COULD GIVE MORE STARS I WOULD!!! This was the best damn pizza I have ever had! We all enjoyed it! Even the baby was dancing while eating her olives!!! We seriously are planning to come back to D.C. and stay in this area to get back to PIZZA MART! THAT IS KINDA A BIG DEAL!!! The man behind the counter was cool as a fan!

So cheesy
Ana P.

Omg, that slice is huge!!! I love it! Can't wait to go back! BP and I shared a plain cheese. It was a life-changing experience.

Jumbo Slice - Meat Lover's Slice

After pacing through Adams Morgan between 5 locations claiming to have "The Original Jumbo Slice" and &Pizza (more like flatbread) I took it upon myself to perform a Google search looking for the Real Original. Upon verification: Pizza Mart, came out to be the inventor of the Jumbo Slice. Fast forward to ordering my slice - I made a great decision! The slice was fresh, sauce has amazing flavor to it, and crust had just enough crispyness to it. During my meal I was reading through non yelp reviews many interestingly claiming that it is a "late night" or "drunk pizza." However being my first time eating a Pizza Mart Jumbo Slice I've got to say it takes the cake in terms of size and flavor compared to the wannabe Jumbo Slices in DC (atleast the ones I've had) and I enjoyed it very much so while SOBER! *Disclaimer: After living in New York for 7 years please do understand that I'm very picky with my Pizza* All in all thumbs up to the OG Jumbo Slice spot, I can see myself coming back the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive.

Yet it was abundantly clear they were hoping no one walked in & we were told they were closing so we asked if we could order and they hesitated. We were about to leave when they said yes. We were a party of three & ordered three pizzas to share & try. They were decent and the other two really liked the dough but I actually did not care for it. They staff cleaned around us including at our table & had their music going. Then they sat on the counter and watched us, lol. Not a fun experience & we would not have bothered them had we known. When we first walked in, the cashier immediately apologized for the long wait times, thanked everyone for their patience, and let us know they were incredibly short staffed with only two people working. Because the tiny interior was already packed, we decided to leave and do some sightseeing first. However, seeing how good the pizza looked we knew we had to come back later that afternoon. There's no negative details in my review. Nothing but positive things and a small recommendation. 1. Staff and Service I really appreciated the cashier's honesty about running behind right off the bat. That allowed us to make an informed choice rather than get frustrated by a long wait. More businesses could learn from this! 2. Restaurant's Layout The inside is a bit tight and busy, but it's located in a smaller older building, so they have no other options. Since they can't expand the inside adding an outdoor pub height counter for eating, a bench or some seating out front would be a great way to give waiting patrons a place to sit. Also a place to eat. 3. The Pizza -The Veggie Pizza: My nephew and I both ordered this, and the slices were massive you'll see in my pics! They were honestly the largest slices I have ever seen! I love pizza and have eaten it in New York and Chicago, and my slice here held its own. It was loaded with a huge variety of vegetables. I requested to put mine through the oven twice to get the veggies warm and cooked because I noticed my nephew's slice looked like a warm salad on crust. So happy I did because it was delicious! The jalapeños were intensely spicy which is on me, since I'm a bit of a lightweight with spice! -The Meat Options: My son got the pepperoni and thought it was really good, and my husband got a supreme slice which he also said was good . 4. Price and pizza size- they're more expensive than a typical slice, but once you see those big ole slices in my pics you'll understand why. They can't even fit on a plate. They had to serve them to you in an actual pizza box! After reading my long review you're trying to find out if I would go back huh? Absolutely! If I ever in the area or stay at the Hilton DC again, I would definitely walk right on over and get a slice. You can feed a family of three on one slice! Adult and two small children!
