One of the best dive Pizza spots around hands down. I always stop to get their Large 2 Toppings. The Cheese they use is very addicting!!

Ordered a calzone.... See pic below. Overcooked and way too doughy! Ingredients were fresh and good and service was good, the calzone? Not so much... oh and what looks like 2 teaspoons of sauce for that brick of a calzone?? Don't get the calzone, the pizza is usually good.

I order delivery from here about 2x monthly. Overall, food is consistent, fresh and made to order. Special requests are met every time. Overall value is very good. Love this place. My favorite sandwich is the steak and cheese. The bread appears to be made in-house and compliments the steak cheese and veggies perfectly. All sandwiches comes with a bag of chips. My wife's favorite sandwich is the la villa chicken sandwich minus the cheese and extra veggies (at no extra charge) and light mayo. They make it perfectly and consistently every time. I've ordered the cheese bread once. It's basically a small pizza without sauce and extra cheese. I'd rate it B+ and better than your average cheese breadsticks. For a good pizza deal, order their 2 large 2-topping pizzas using their yelp coupon. $21. Great deal with generous toppings too. Seems like most D.C. pizza shops have one (smaller) pizza for $15-18. No reason to order from dominos or other chains when you have a great locally-owned pizza shop like this one. I've ordered their small Greek salad which is $5. It comes in a small clear plastic container, which is deceptively small since they manage to stuff a lot of veggies into it. When placed on a dinner plate it is definitely a lot of salad. And the veggies were all super fresh. Bonus - it also comes with a slice of cheese bread although it is not mentioned on the menu. I've ordered their fries once. Good deal and and generous portion, but the fries were delivered a bit soggy. I probably wouldn't order it again. Otherwise I'd probably have to quickly toast them before eating. Their wings are solid. Big juicy wings with good sauce. I prefer my wings on the crispier side, but theirs is more like broiled wings with softer skin. Not bad for delivery wings. Their wings and pizza combo deal is a good value. Delivery time is pretty quick. I'm 1.7 miles away, and the order comes to me in about 35-40 minutes after placing my order at 6:30pm. I consider this very good.

It's certainly decent pizza for the price, and is a pretty good choice for quick food in the neighborhood. In the last week of moving into the neighborhood, we've been hungry for something quick and have ordered from here many days (both for ourselves, family members visiting, and even for some lunch fuel for our movers). For under $10 you get a large, 2 topping pizza for carry-out -- that is pretty hard to beat! Although there is an EXTENSIVE list of possible toppings, not all of them are created equal. I was excited to see roasted eggplant as an option the first time I came in to place an order, but upon receiving the pizza and trying it, it was clear that the eggplant was not a wise choice. It was completely undercooked and we ended up picking most of it off the 'za. Sad. We've had better luck with the sun dried tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni. It usually takes about 15 minutes from the time you place your order until you can pick up, and I've only had one snafu when they messed up my order and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes or so. Overall, La Villa Pizzeria is a fine option in the neighborhood and I'm sure we will be giving it a lot of business over the years!

    Supposed to be prosciutto

Incredibly disappointed. How does this business deliver food over 45 minutes late? That is completely unacceptable. Then, when the food arrives, there are items missing. If the food is going to be late, just be honest. Don't try to make excuses. The food was mediocre. The chicken was hard, the spaghetti tasteless, and the prosciutto was oddly thick. In addition, the salad had some weird brown liquid at the bottom of the box. Completely annoyed. And never ordering from here again.

Rarely write reviews but considering I order from here a lot ( and the frustration of them forgetting my blue cheese for my wings) I have decided to break my silence. wings, pizza, calzones, pastas are all good in my book. Flavorful and satisfying. Will continue to order for sure. Now what I don't understand is how the mozzarella sticks are absolutely horrible. Imagine the breading from a child's chicken nugget frozen dinner. Take that and wrap it around lukewarm string cheese and voila! So yeah...order everything but the mozzarella sticks.

The day we visited, they had a margherita pizza and a veggie (mozzarella, Italian dandelions, sun-dried tomatoes, whipped goat chevre & hot honey). I'm still not sure what an Italian dandelion is, but it tasted great. But my favorite was the soft-serve, Honey Cardamon Lemon with Pistachios. Inventive and yummy! FYI, you can order the soft-serve when you order your pizza, but pick it up at the end of your meal so it doesn't melt. The food tastes great, but most of all, it's local and family-owned. Definitely in my standard rotation of pizza places. You should definitely get out to Takoma Park and try Red Hound!

That month I had started Uber driving, was in this area of DC, had heard good things about Wiseguy, and decided to eat here. Although I don't like paying to park just to simply eat a meal, I sometimes will make an exception for convenience and/or if it's a place I really want to go. But for the most part, I'll go to restaurant where they have free parking or at least I can find free parking near the restaurant. I remembered getting a parking spot very close and feel like I feed the meter like 50 cents in 2014 parking prices for a quick 30 minute meal. They have all kinds of varieties of slices from the standard toppings or just cheese to fancy ones. Although the pizza is fairly thin, but average for New York style pizza. I tried Andy's Pizza 11 years later in 2025, and while it was solid although not as good as Wiseguy, my real complaint with Andy's was that the pizza is very thin, where I was hungry very soon later; so a much worse value as pricing is comparable to Wiseguy. Wiseguy slices are big, and the pizza is top notch New York style. I went to this location a couple of more times after my initial August 2014 visit as I loved the pizza. Then, they opened up other locations. I went to Navy Yard one at least twice, once after a Nationals baseball game after a disappointing loss for my 4th favorite baseball team, Texas Rangers. Sorry Nats fans, but Nats are in my bottom 10 teams. I also went to Rosslyn & Pentagon City location, where parking isn't quite as bad. They even had a Wheaton Mall food court location, which I got to experience once, but they sadly closed. Every experience with Wiseguy has been positive.

When I gave feedback that the caesar salad was way too salty, the manager understood precisely what had gone wrong and instantly replaced it. We also ordered the corn and jalapeno fritters (which were probably fabulous when they were originally conceived but not currently being executed well) and for dessert a fantastic zabaglioni.
