This is the first time I ordered delivery from Pizza Man, and I have to say I'm surprised at how good the pizza is. We ordered a large vegetarian pizza and taste/size-wise it was better than most of the places we've ordered vegetarian pizzas from (I'm talking a standard vegetarian pizza, not one with fancy toppings like squash blossoms). For me, this pizza was easily better than all the national pizza chains and better than our local Fresh Brothers, Tomato Pie, Mama's, etc. They have an extensive menu of everything from burgers to fried chicken, which I'm now going to try the next time I order pizza. As a person born and raised in Los Angeles I can be a little critical about my food choice, even more so because I have a rare allergy to pork and pork products so I have to be careful where and what I eat. I must say I stumbled upon Pasadena Pizza Man by happenstance because my lady lives out here and I visit here time to time. There are food options around but I say I definitely choose Pizza Man almost every time. They're excellent menu options that include beef and vegan pepperoni, (for us who can't enjoy regular pepperoni) awesome prices, and incredibly delicious food. I usually get two XL pizzas with sauce side that includes bouebony bbq, marinara, mango habanero. The crust is an excellent not too hard not too soft size and texture, and even bonus rewards I can earn for sweet deals. Really feel ripped off by this Merchant... I ordered a $28 dollar pizza with regular crust, not thin crust or burnt crust.... I took my pizza home thinking it was going to be decent, and like I ordered, wrong.... Wrong.... Took my pizza home and realized it had its soul taken from it... The crust was thin just like their service.... The sauce was barely there.... Actually there wasnt any sauce. The toppings where brunt and lightly there as well.... This review comes from a very picky eater who gets in trouble often for being way too honest. I ordered from this place once months ago, it was a bit mediocre, salty and oily (probably from the pepperoni). This time pizza came beyond expectations. I usually only eat cheese pizza but I crave for real pizza sometimes like this time: I had beef pepperoni, mushroom, black olives and corn (regular crust). The crust was so delicious. Ingredients were good quality. It wasn't oily or salty but the salt mainly came from the olives and pepperoni. They were also visually pleasing. I really enjoyed it even though I wasn't that hungry and don't have much appetite these days. My mom loved her pizza so much as well and hers was veggie style. And we were both very nervous until we opened the pizza boxes due to some terrible reviews. I believe some people who wrote these negative reviews had either unlucky experiences that weren't just usual; or they truly exaggerated; or the Pizza Man improved themselves like a LOT. Either way, this place (to my last experience) deserves at least solid 4.5 star. I'm giving 5 for surprising the hell outta me. If I was reviewing for both experiences then it would be 4 star. Pizza man is absolutely amazing. The toppings are cut really nicely and distributed evenly so you can get a lot more flavor every bite. The marinara sauce and cheese was superb as well. It really mixed in together with the toppings. The breading is also thin as well, so you're getting good balance. Some pizza places like dominos or papa johns just have so much breading so you're eating 1/2 breading and 1/2 everything else. This is more like 1/3 split of breading, cheese, and toppings.
