I came here during peak lunch hours on a Wednesday. The staff were getting out pizzas quickly and there were only a few other customers in line. The inside was clean, there is a decent amount of chairs inside , they are kind of awkwardly placed , I would recommend to grab and go. My pizza came out quickly and hot, staff was friendly, and put a good amount of each topping on my pizza, I would recommend this Blaze. Note that parking is rough in this area, and it will most likely require to use a structure nearby, so I'd only recommend to come here if it is walkable for you. read more

It's fine if you want fast food pizza in a fast food restaurant. It's one of those "order whatever toppings you want" assembly line models. I did not like the crust but my kids thought it was fine. No wine or beer. Fast. Grubby - no one cleans the tables as far as I could tell. Cashier seemed like she wished she was elsewhere. One set of peppers and Parmesan for the entire place so you have to take it from another diner as of course people leave it on their table. Awkward. Just put out packets. Don't call it Blaze Pizza if you don't use the fire oven! I visited this Pasadena location on Colorado Blvd specifically for the novelty factor and it's pretty quick and tasty pizza. My 5-year-old son - who had never been there - wanted to watch his pizza made and put in the big, blazing fire oven. The build your own aspect I knew wasn't a factor for him since he only eats cheese pizza! But what was weird is that after they made our pizzas and I was paying for them, I saw they bypassed the big fiery oven and put our pizzas on a small side conveyor belt oven. When I asked why, the cashier (who appeared to be the manager) started a bizarre back-and-forth with me, claiming the conveyor belt was "better" and asking if I "really" wanted the big oven. Then, a second co-worker chimed in to back her up saying "I mean yeah we could re-make your pizzas... if you want that". They were arguing against the oven! It made it feel like an inconvenience and that I was a "difficult" customer for wanting the very thing advertised on the sign outside. For a prime spot in Old Town, the service was incredibly unprofessional and just plain awkward. Really it's just not worth the price - especially given so many options in the area. Craved pizza after a night exploring different places in Pasadena. Blaze was open late. Ordered a build-your-own with classic red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, green peppers, banana peppers, olives, mushrooms, roasted broccoli. The staff was very efficient and I liked that they kept the pizza in the wood fire grill a bit longer to make the crust crispy. First visit to any Blaze Pizza location. We stopped in after a show at the Pasadena Playhouse, as this is one of only a few places open late in the theater district. It's a short walk from the Playhouse, located on the NE corner of E. Colorado Blvd. & E. Molino Ave. Plenty of indoor seating available, and parking is on the street or in a nearby pay lot (walkable distance). Ordering is cafeteria style: select your pizza and then walk along to add toppings, finally paying at the register. When your order is ready, they call out your name/ticket number and you go back up to the counter to pick up your food. No table service. My wife and I shared a Carnivore Pizza ($13.99) and a Cinnamon Bread ($4.99) for dessert. Overall, the dining area could have used more attention to cleaning after customers left their tables, but the food was tasty, and the service was okay. I'd try them again, for sure. read more

Came for pi day and what a busy day this was. There was a line out the door. I will know this for next year. It was probably the busiest it ever was and will ever be. So many eager people wanting their pi day pie. Their pi day deals vary each year but this year was bogo for $3.14. Not a bad deal but definitely enough for it to draw the crowds. I think food usually tastes better if you are getting a deal. Therefore the pizzas were delicious! We got the spicy pepperoni and the carnivore. I was not ready for the sweet sauce on the carnivore. I would definitely ask for no sauce next time. On a side note, the side door allows for entry by unwanted guests. A homeless guy entered and sat in a booth area and was occupying space that a paying customer could have been sitting at. That was a little unsettling. This blaze location is conveniently located on Colorado and is one of the few fast-casual places that don't require a sit-down experience. They also have outdoor seating which is nice. The one drawback is the service here is incredibly slow. It's not that it isn't sufficiently staffed either, they just don't prioritize speed at all. They do participate in pi day deals annually which is nice. If they trained or prioritized urgency here at all this would be an easy 5/5. You know when you walk into a place and just know they hired the right people? Like, the manager is great, the employees fit perfectly, and everything just runs the way it should? Yeah--this place nailed it. They have the best manager I've ever dealt with at any location. And no.. I didn't ask to speak to the manager haha--he just happened to be behind the counter when I was checking out one day. We ended up having a conversation about how I mistakenly ordered a large on a previous visit, and he was super kind and sweet. He let me know that the large I ordered wouldn't taste the same as the build-your-own regular and gave me some helpful tips for next time. Then, out of nowhere, he gave me a complimentary drink--just to make sure I had a good experience. What a sweetheart. Honestly, every single time I come here, the employees are incredibly friendly, and I always leave with a great interaction. This place is so worth the drive--I go 10 miles out of my way and deal with the crappy parking just to get my Blaze Pizza from this specific location. I've never vouched this hard for a Blaze Pizza before, but trust me, if you want your pizza made right, come here. I've always come to Blaze at all the locations wherever I'm around mainly because I love the brick oven to make the pizzas. What happened? I came in here on a Saturday afternoon, there wasn't many ppl and they weren't cooking any of the pizzas in the brick oven. They just put it in this little machine from this old pizza chain back in the day that has a little belt; the pizza goes on, gets heated and rolls right out. That old pizza chain went out of business just like Quizno's. It's crap! So not sure if they just stopped using the oven all together even though it was on or whatever reason it is. The best vegan BYO pizza place I've tried. They have vegan cheese, vegan chorizo, and tons of veggies for toppings. They bake your pizza perfectly every time. Never burnt. All the staff I've ever encountered are super nice. They never make me feel bad for asking for extra toppings. The ambience is casual, modern. Terrible customer service. Better pizza choices in Pasadena. This joint needs to get out. If they make a mistake on your delivery order, your time will be wasted. Someone over the phone told me to go into their pizza joint and that they'll have my name down to come pick up the correct order. I go in person as instructed. I did not get a name from that employee and the "mgr" Angel G gave me a difficult time, spoke in a condescending manner, very unprofessionally not honoring what his employee told me. Get rid of Angel G. He alleged that I requested a refund, which I didn't. I told him, "Why else would I be there in person if I requested a refund?" He then said we don't do that and if I wanted a pizza that I could have one if I paid for it, with a grimace. Unprofessional establishment. I said how can I verify that a refund was issued, most places just give a complimentary pizza for the inconvenience your company caused? I don't typically leave reviews, especially for fast food restaurants, but my recent visits have been some of the worst experiences I've ever had at any establishment. The young man with visible tattoos, who I believe is named Will (based on what his coworkers have said), consistently appears disinterested and disengaged. He never offers a friendly greeting and provides noticeably poor customer service, making each visit uncomfortable and frustrating. My son ordered meatballs for dinner via curbside pickup. We get home and there's a hair in his meatballs! Gross and unsanitary! I had to drive ALL the way back to the store to get a replacement only to find out they are OUT of meatballs. Disappointing! But get THIS, they say they can make me a pizza instead and when I asked for a puffy crust pizza (which is what my son requested), they said they couldn't do that because it was "too expensive", I'm sorry but what kind of customer service is that?! Like anything that starts out great, this place is really slowly going downhill. 2 topping and a soda $15 bucks. Not cheap but not that pricy for what you get. However when they started you could requests a little extta on a topping or extra cheese and now they charge extra for that according to their staff. A customer in front of me was asking questions about cross contamination. She may have had allergies and the worker didn't even care. Last week I visited the La Canada location and they said if you do a large 2 topping with Pepperoni and request 1/2 with black olives and the other half with Kalamata Olives it would go from 2 topping to Build your own? I cane here last night after volunteering at Pasadena Playhouse. I was excited that there was a place open. There was one woman ahead of me. I stood next to her. No one said a word to me. Staff was moving slowly as they seemed unprepared for the theatre crowd to show up. After standing for a while, someone finally took my order. I ordered the November special - Chicken Parm Pizza and a side salad. I specifically told them very well done. Burn it. She told me to tell the person making my pizza. I told the person making it very well done. I paid and waited. My pizza came up quickly and it was cold and on the raw side. The sauce was cold. It was not well done at all.
