I ordered online to get the limited edition Breaking Bad Heisenberg pizza box on 9/7/26. I got the Supreme pizza, Baked Bolognese pasta, and chopped salad. It came out to $65.85 and served three people for lunch with plenty of leftovers. The Supreme has Tomato Sauce, Mozzarella, Pepperoni, Sausage, Black Olives, Red Onions, Red Bell Peppers except I opted out of the olives. The parking lot is very small with limited parking spaces. Fortunately I got there before noon before it got too crowded. Everything was good, fresh and tasty. The only thing is they didn't offer me extra peppers or seasonings like they do at most other pizza shops. I love the pizza box and it makes a great additional decor in the kitchen. read more

The food is good. Keep in mind the slices are huge, so ordering the 2-slice combo is more than enough. The prices are fair, and that's not an issue. They only have outdoor seating, which gives the place a nice vibe. What doesn't give a good vibe is the service. I honestly don't know if I came in on the wrong day, but it was some of the worst customer service I've experienced. It's a pizza place. The girl who took our order was incredibly rude and had such an attitude toward me and my friend. It was my first time there, and she was the type of person who made you feel dumb for asking questions. My friend asked if they had garlic sauce, and instead of simply answering, she responded with, "We never had that," and listed ranch and the other sauces with an attitude. Then she said something under her breath that I couldn't hear clearly. I thought she said there was a 3-hour wait, so we asked for clarification. She responded with even more attitude. At that point, I honestly wasn't even interested in the pizza anymore. The owner was standing at the end of the counter. The place is very small, so either he didn't hear how she was treating customers, or he allows it. This is a business. Getting an attitude with someone who's simply trying to order a pizza is crazy. Not sure what the issue is with this off and on again pizza spot in town- I find it so inconsistent that I felt I had to write a review! What I've experienced is that although they have an extensive menu offering, the star product, their pizza, lacks love of any kind! It lacks taste and flavor. This last $100 purchase was pure cardboard- the dough is tough and over cooked- their cheese is almost non-existent, and the sauces are dry- just a lot of disappointment that I don't really understand. Wow busy place!! For good reason- the food is incredible! I ordered an online order to be picked up at 5:30 pm. When I got there, they let me know it would be a few minutes. About 20 minutes later I asked if they were behind on schedule and the guy said Friday nights were busy. 30 minutes later my order came out and they told me they forgot to make one of my pizzas. I think Prime Pizza is the best New York style pizza you can get in the LA area. The pizza is really crispy, and they offer both round and square pies. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza. My go to slices are the spicy pepperoni, classic cheese, and pepperoni. The hoagie is also very good and worth trying. The parking lot itself is small, but street parking is easy and usually not a far walk. Beyond the food, this location feels very community driven. You can really see it with Pasadena and Altadena merch being sold and the overall neighborhood vibe from the people here. Seating is outdoor only in a patio setup, and they have a big TV outside where they show sports, which adds to the experience. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to. read more

My favorite is NY-style pizza and I haven't found a good one here... however, Prime is it! They're located up Allen Ave in Altadena and comes with a tiny parking lot. I ordered a pepperoni pie with sausage on half and fresh jalapeños and pineapple on the other. Seriously, I thought it was crazy (bad) too until I tried that combo--it's bomb af with a drizzle of hot honey. The crust was chewy in a good way and still pretty crusty after delivery. I wish burrata was an option but I'll add that myself next time. The slice hung almost exactly like the one I got from Joe's in NY, and say what you want about Joe's, I love it! Prime Pizza is a very casual and delicious restaurant. The corner it's on is a little wonky but I think it actually adds to the charm. Parking is usually easy for me to find and then you walk past the patio into the establishment. The staff is always very friendly and the service is quick, both to take your order and to receive your heated up slice. I love supporting restaurants that were impacted by the Altadena fire, and this place definitely did not disappoint. OMG - this pizza is amazing! We just found our new favorite pizza place to go to! Honestly, just came to try the butter chicken pizza, as it's trending on TikTok - OH BOY, were we surprised - absolutely love their "pies" (square pizzas), the crust and sides are yummy and crunchy, the bread feels light and airy, like eating focaccia bread. Tried Prime Pizza for the first time since it's only about 6 minutes from me. I got the pepperoni slice, and while it was decent, it unfortunately wasn't one of my favorite New York style slices in LA. For my taste, it was a little too salty, I'm not sure if it was the combination of the sauce and pepperoni, but it was one of the saltiest pizzas I've had. I also experienced some heartburn about halfway through the slice. The slice was $5, which is pretty comparable to other spots that sell by the slice, so no complaints on pricing. Walking from the street towards the store, there was the undeniable smell of fresh pizza being made, which got us excited. Walking in, you get a very old brick and mortar vibe for a classic pizza restaurant. It got me excited to try. Service was okay. As for the food itself, I'm reluctant to say, but I was unfortunately disappointing. The pizza were inconsistent and none of them really gave me the wow factor. The pepperoni slice definitely had the best texture, definitely underdone undercarriage but the best one by far, it had a nice bite on each bite and the crust. For me personally, and this goes for all the slices, I wasn't a fan of the to tomato sauce. It was just too sweet for me. I would say the Sicilian had a nice flavor and potential, but that potential couldn't be met because again, the pizza was not reheated enough. Came here with a large group on a Sunday right when they opened. There was plenty of room for everyone and the 3 dogs and stroller we had with us, the patio gives a great vibe. Our group of 7 adults ordered 3 pizzas and we took 1 pizza worth of leftovers home. The garlic knots were incredible, the best thing we ate. The (round) pizzas were pretty good, not my favorite NY style pizza in the area but the flavors were fun and nothing was "bad." I've had the square pizzas from Prime before and they were way better, I'd stick with those in the future. The pepperoni is pretty good, but the bianca is dry and kind of powdery and dry; the garlic sauce was nowhere to be found... The wine choices are bad, poor, and worse ("orange wine"?, wtf???). The Caesar salad was fresh and the dressing is tasty, a plus. There are a bunch of picnic tables set up for outdoor seating but the place has absolutely no vibe, either. Located near the Altadena Jan 7th fires. Wanted to support the local businesses that are struggling. The Italian food here is amazingly delish and huge selection including gluten free meals. I had the margarita Sicilian style slice, meatballs and garlic knots. I rate the crispy tasty pizza a 10! Meatballs so fresh and flavorful in every bite.
