Stoked to have Pie Life here in Monrovia near home. We frequent the Pie Life in Pasadena near work. NY Style slices are top tier. Perfectly cooked with generous toppings. Side of ranch is the perfect dip with a delicious chocolate chip cookie to finish off lunch. Pepperoni, Pepperoni Burrata, and Sausage & Peppers slices are great. Need to try the Sicilian next!

    Regular slice. Margherita. White.

Fantastic spot! Easily the best place in Monrovia and one of the best in SGV. Super thin and crisp. A perfect bake.

2nd! Woohoo! Having Pie Life is livin' my best life on a Friday haha! Def lived up to hype that I have heard from their Pasadena branch. Ordered the NY Pizza with extra cheese and half pep on their website but had glitchy issues with completing my order because the order won't go through if you don't choose a topping for a whole pizza (there was not an option for No Topping) even though I was ordering a half cheese half pep so ended up getting triple extra cheese which was well worth it! Possibly the best NY style pizza nearby and def better than Village Pizza in Sierra Madre. Lastly the pizza, and the crust tho! It's density and crust's crunch held up with all that cheese pull and the NY pizza fold was legit. The pizza had snap and wasn't floppy like Sengun for the Rockets who will lose to Lakers tonight (I'm calling it 1 hour before game time haha)

The best pizza is now blocks away from Home!!!!! You have to try all the slices and definitely get the Cauliflower crust. They're always so welcoming and hope only the best for this place.

    Best pizza in town

Delicious pizza…read more(fresh AND leftover), great wings and salad, friendly staff even when super busy, and a wide variety of specialty pies on the menu along with customizable options and interesting side orders like their nacho potatoes.  For our pizza we got a medium build your own with meatballs, jalapenos, onions, and garlic. At 12" it was the perfect amount to feed the two of us for two meals. The crust is soft and pillowy and had the perfect char. The sauce was sweeter than most places and even though I don't like sweet flavors in my savory foods it totally worked - I really enjoyed it. Very decent pie and would get again.  We also got a 6-piece wings with traditional buffalo sauce and a small greek salad - both flavorful and delicious - would also get again. I especially loved the creamy crumbled feta on the greek salad and the variety of veggies. The shop was swarming with customers placing to-go orders and the phone was ringing off the hook while I visited - but the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and very helpful - he even gave regular updates on order wait times to me and the others waiting which I really appreciated.  Prices seemed a tad high to me - but I feel that way everywhere I go lately and they don't seem any more expensive than anywhere else out here nowadays lol. Plus the quality is definitely there and I will still be returning.  The vibes were chill with a nostalgic pizza place feel, cute valentine's day window paintings, and several TVs showing sports while you eat. They're located in a large, easy to find shopping center with plenty of parking.  We ordered to-go and it was ready in about 30 mins - which isn't too bad considering how busy they were. So I suggest calling ahead and placing your order unless you just want to grab a beer there while you wait, which many people were doing.  All in all I enjoyed the food and experience and look forward to trying the nacho potatoes next time!

The chicken on the Alfredo was so well cooked and juicy, the meatballs were tender and flavorful. The side salad is just a pile of iceberg and 4 cherry tomatoes which was a bit disappointing but the dressing (not sure if house made) was delicious. The portion size of one order of mozz sticks is wild. Honestly this place is going to be on my weeknight takeaway rotation.

If you've never tried a cornmeal crust pizza, you should definitely come in and see if it's your thing. Located on Foothill just off of Santa Anita in Arcadia, Zelo is low-key and comfortable without being too casual. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is delicious. We tried their side order of meatballs as an appetizer. I'm a meatball connoisseur, and these meatballs were perfect. I bet they'd be fantastic in a sandwich. We shared a pizza: half four cheese, and half the night special of andouille sausage. Absolutely succulent. Three cheers to our friendly server, Jeremiah. He's a really nice guy and a great server! The artwork on the walls is eclectic and interesting. Be sure to spot the picture of Mr. hand busting Spicolli for bringing pizza to class! Also be sure to spot the tower of Dodgers bobbleheads. They serve beer and wine, and I tried the Poppy Fields draft. For lovers of a darker beer, you'll enjoy it. All at all, Zelo is a low-key and fun place to come for a gourmet cornmeal crust pizza.

I have never heard of PSP in Pasadena until now. I can't unknow it because their pizza is the BEST! I had to pay them a visit so here I am on a weekday. They had a good crowd of customers who had already ordered. I got lucky as I was the only person in line. I knew exactly which slices I wanted... one Vegan Square and one The Fancy Prince. I was also curious about the Green Machine. All other pizza flavors look so enticing, too. Kai, the lady who helped me with my order, was super friendly and hospitable. She offered me the Green Machine on the house so I can try it. Now that is a big beautiful welcome. Thank you so much Kai for the green treat! All 3 slices were SO DIVINE! Vegan Square has a thick, crispy Sicilian-style crust with creamy vegan cheese and their signature sweet marinara sauce... SO YUMMY! The Fancy Prince comes with a blend of fresh mozzarella, shredded mozzarella, ricotta, Pecorino Romano, and fresh garlic... this is my ABSOLUTE favorite! If you like savory, pesto-based vegetarian pizza topped with fresh mushrooms, garlic, smoked mozzarella, whipped ricotta, and Pecorino Romano, you must try the Green Machine... SO SAVORY! Please note each slice ranges from $6+ and up. As for the whole pie, it's around $30 to $40+ depending on flavor. Their specialty is PIZZA by the slice or pie, but they do have limited salads, sides, desserts, and drinks as well. Highly recommend this pizza joint! I'm coming back to try all their other pizza flavors slice by slice. I can't wait! See you here.

Overall 4 stars, but I see 5 star potential as I explore more of the menu during future visits…read more I liked the service we received. Our server was a young man named Courage, and I appreciated his patience and good manners. The host at the front counter was pleasant to interact with as well. The food was good overall, but somewhat hit or miss. We tried the 40z Florentine T-Bone Steak for Two (ordered medium), and found it to be acceptable overall - some portions seemed closer to medium rare, while other sections seemed well done. I'm no expert on steaks, and my limited understanding is that a steak this massive can show variation in Doneness, so please disregard this observation if you believe it to be unduly critical. I plan to return and sample the other steaks (and dishes) at this eatery, I get the feeling I will probably find them to be more to my liking. Of note is the restaurant's (current) novel menu pricing model - their steaks (and a few other items from what I remember) are 50% off their listed price every day except for "holidays and special occasions" (or something along those lines). I would consider this dynamic pricing model better than restaurants who mark *up* their listed prices during select days of the year (e.g. Valentine's Day). The parking lot is on the small side, but we were fortunately able to secure a space during our visit. The chimichurri that accompanies the steak is a bit on the noticeably spicy side.

It was joined next to the table for 4. It's dimly lit inside. Pitcher of water was brought and it was self serve. The waiter was jovial and outgoing. I ordered from the Mother's Day menu. There were 4 options for the starter and entree. I chose the Meatball for starter and Chilean sea bass. Garlic bread was brought out at 1:23 pm. No plates were brought out for the garlic bread so I ate the bread on a napkin. Candle was lit at 1:43. My meatball was placed down at 1:50. The Chilean seabass was placed down at 2:06 pm. The sauce was white wine and the sea bass was perfect. Easy to chew and cooked to perfection. The mashed potato was very soft, almost runny but not quite. The white wine sauce made it too soft. Dessert was bread pudding and it was placed at 2:55. We had finished the entrees but he forgot that it came from the Mother's Day menu and cooks were still preparing food for other guests. There are at least 6 tables on the first floor. Bread pudding was the only option for dessert. It was delicious. It came with frosting, vanilla ice cream I think, a sprig of mint, cut up strawberry. The menu says that the steak is 50% off except for holidays and occasions. But on the receipt the 50% discount was applied. So that was a welcome surprise. It made me not mind the waiting times for the food. The restaurant lighting was red which was a choice. Photos lined one wall and presumably other walls.

To be honest,…read morethis is just an average pizza for me - it sorta reminds me of something you would find at a fair. There's only one size available so that's a problem if it's just you. As you can see, the pizza is huge! Yes, you can buy slices but it makes more financial sense to buy a whole pizza. Next, this is not a "cheesy" pizza. So, if you like all that gooey cheese on your pizza, you're going to be disappointed here. The cheese is so minimal you may ask yourself if there's in fact any cheese on the pizza. The cheesy bread, however, will satisfy your desire for gooey cheese. Highly recommend you pick up a side of the bread. It reheats up nicely too. As pictured, there's inside and outside dining areas. I went when it just opened so there were only a few people dining. Parking here will not be easy. I was told that if you pass the residences, there is ample parking on a vacant lot. This is not the safest neighborhood so if you're a female and you're by yourself, you may not want to park that far and make that walk (especially at night). There is a Dollar Tree across the street with a lot, however, that establishment also tends to draw sketchy characters. So, if easy parking is one of you're requirements, you may want to pass on this place. All in all, this place was more hype and it left me craving that satisfying cheesiness that should be on a pizza. I definitely won't have this place on rotation when I get that pizza craving. No hate, I just love my pizza cheesy. ‍
