    Margherita Pizza was very good
    Ray M.

My wife and I visited this Italian restaurant for the first time and we truly enjoyed the experience. Upon entering, we were met and greeted by Paul the waiter whom would later reveal that this is a family owed restaurant and he is the brother of the owner. Paul the waiter was absolutely awesome! He is extremely friendly, super funny (belongs on stage across the street at the Laugh Factory), knowledgeable of the entire menu and he made dining here a fun experience. Service from Paul and the entire staff was top notch and greatly appreciated. Now for the food in one word, DELICIOUS!! My wife had a Margherita pizza which I ended up eating half and I ordered the Penne Alla Vodka. Both food items were well prepared, fresh and tasty. I am not usually one for ANY type of pasta and/Italian food in general bcos I tend to gain weight simply by looking at the food but I made an exception and I had no regrets whatsoever. The vibe here is family, and good times. We will definitely be returning in order to try other dishes on the menu and to be entertained by Paul the waiter.

I hate to say this because I love pasta but the vongole was not good. I felt like I could taste the ocean with every bite so I couldn't finish my dish. I tried the clams and they were alright but there was no flavor from the white wine or really anything. I was offered some penne alla vodka and even that one had an odd flavor. The redeeming part of the meal was the complimentary garlic bread which quickly disappeared from my table. I pretty much ate some of the cucumber salad and then called it a night. The service was good though and we made a reservation beforehand for our large party so they wre able to seat us quickly on a Friday night.

Food and service were spectacular. The place is a bit small so I was a little concerned for our big group but we made it work. The food was pretty good as well. I'd come back for special occasions.

A restaurant/bar that tastes as good as how inviting it looks. Pane E Vino is a great place that embodies the vibe of downtown Covina. If you happen to be exploring around, this is a great Italian eatery! Food - I got the black and white pasta. It seems like this is more of the authentic pasta instead of Americanized. It's not saucy, but has the perfect amount of flavor and lightness to it Price - A little more on the pricy side. Expect to spend $20-40 a person depending on orders. Drinks - Great Italian wine selection. I personally think the Chianti Classico bottle is a great pairing with their pastas! Vibes - Great for date night, hanging out with friends, or even a solo meal at the bar with great conversations!

The nonprofit I work with was hosting a 30 person luncheon and Pane e Vino put together an amazing lunch for us. We were allowed to customize our own menu that included gluten free options as well as their famous Meatballs which need their own review because they were that delicious. The meatballs were juicy, a great size, seasoned deliciously, but still tasted clean and homemade. They really elevated the simple penne with marinara we opted for. The bread rolls were decadent and super homey, not sure but they almost tasted homemade. Pick up was seamless and everyone really enjoyed the dish and fresh Italian salad. Thank you Mark for your generous support of a grass roots nonprofit organization. If you are in need of catering services look no further. The physical restaurant is also super charming and worth a visit!

We've driven and walked past this place so many times. So today we decided to try out this place. The salmon was very delicious. I really enjoyed their tasty cannoli dessert which was a very nice ending to the meal. Very nice place and our server Paul was great

Stumbled into this place because my friend and I was craving Italian food and her go to spot was closed. There was nobody inside when we walked in so we were a little skeptical but we decided to give this place a shot. The waiter was super nice, helpful, and funny. As time passed more people started coming in to dine. We ordered the calamari, Vongole and the Piggy Pizza to share. Food was made quickly and it was pretty good. The calamari was fried perfectly and paired well with the aioli sauce. The pasta was our favorite part, you can taste the fresh clams and the wine. The pasta was al dente as it should be and we devoured the dish. Our biggest let down was the pizza, it seemed very undercooked and the toppings were still cold. You know when you pick up a slice of pizza and all the toppings with the cheese slide off? That is what happened, there was no crust at all and no grip. We could see the dough still that had no color to it, but we werent too bothered to complain about it. We ended up taking it home to go and correctly heated everything up to crisp up the bottom for a better base. Overall I would definitely come back for the pasta but can pass on the pizza

Celebrated my nephew's bday here. The staff and host was very attentive. He made our festive event a lot better with his delivery of excellent customer service! The food was an added bonus! The pizzas were hot and on time. Their taste is superb and won yhe heart of my nephew! We were delighted in the pleasant and calm environment. You have to bring your family for delightful food and ambience!

Wow The food is very flavorful. I recommend the burrata to start & seafood pasta for your entree- both are excellent. Our waiter was friendly & personable. It really felt like we were in a little cafe IN Italy. I can't wait to go back & my friends also loved it

Interior is cozy. Servers were nice and attentive. But the food was average; maybe below average. It tasted something you can make at home with ingredients from Trader Joe's. Their complimentary bread was soft but on a sweet side. The fried mushroom was probably the worst dish...it was full of batter with only small pieces of mushroom. I felt so sick after eating one because of all the grease. The 2 pastas (scallop and shrimp linguini special and penne alla vodka) were subpar. Honestly I can make similar dishes at home with more ingredients/proteins. The fennel sausage pizza was average too. I had to add a lot of red pepper flakes to make it more appetizing. Not sure why there are so many good reviews but maybe because I had better Italian food so this place was a disappointment. Don't think I will be back.

First time eating here and I will definitely be back. Great service, the vibe in restaurant was great and the food was excellent .

On this particular weeknight, your favorite Yelp correspondent was pivoting in and out of Glendora's Food Hall like a metronome, ferrying a quartet of meals from the hall for my wee Uber gig. Pastaphony caught my attention within moments of nesting my customer's order into my insulated carrier- my SUV's cabin was redolent of cheese, tomatoes and overall hone-cooked goodness! I went with Pasta Arrabbiata, then customized my order by adding a breaded chicken breast, black olives, onions, roasted peppers and shaved parmesan. On the plus side, Pastaphony gives ample portions- My entree weighed almost as much as a two-item combo platter from your friendly neighborhood Chinese takeout place! And, while the dish took me to Flavortown...unfortunately it was the Mojave Desert, with its scorching flavor profile and intense, spicy taste. The star of the dish was the breaded chicken cutlet and the shaved parm, but since the penne pasta overwhelmed the chicken/parm by an eight to one ratio...this was a difficult dish to finish. Context- As the acknowledged "lightweight" in a family of folks who typically relish spicy food, I asked my wife to sample my dish. She was born in Michoacacan and regularly quaffs homegrown Serrano and Habanero peppers like they're ice. Even she was surprised by how utterly spicy my pasta dish was! My entree cost $26.39 after taxes, a wee steep for a single protein pasta dish. By comparison, you can spend $1 more at any Johnny Carinos or Olive Garden and get a three-item combo with bread and/or salad accompaniments. So I wasn't satisfied by the "value for money" question, either. This experienced reviewer probably ordered the WDD (Wrong Damn Dish) but at their prices (a side of garlic bread or breadsticks is $10.99!) one os hesitant to retake the plunge.
