    Rigatoni with House Sauce
    Rish C.

I will say that I personally have mixed reviews about Angela's. My parents love Angela's and love Angela, the owner and come here maybe every other week. I tend to tag along but I'm not the biggest fan of their service. I won't lie, I order the rigatoni with their house sauce pretty much every time we go and it's not bad. It's not the greatest pasta in the world, but it's a nice pasta to enjoy. My brothers and parents also seem to enjoy their food as well. My dad gets the spaghetti & meatballs, my brothers get their ravioli and my mom gets their linguini. No complaints at all for the food, it's definitely something to enjoy! As for their service, it's a hit or miss. I always hope and pray when we go in, there isn't more than 2 parties because if there is, we'd be waiting for our order to be taken for a good 20 minutes and then another 30 for us to receive our food. I'm trying to be considerate of Angela's because it is completely family-run. It is primarily ran by the owner, Angela and I believe sometimes her daughter is there to help out and her kids. Because of this, I try to look the other way, but the service tends to be a bit slow if there are more than two parties in the restaurant. If my parents ask if I want to join them for dinner at Angela's, I have to consider that I'll probably be there for 3 hours. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant is super cute with the decor and especially for the small space they have, they make use of every bit to have as many tables as they can. I just wish the service was a bit better. I guess my parents don't mind as they like to take their time when dining in.

Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5…read more From the very first spoonful of soup to the final bite of tiramisu, everything was genuinely impressive. The cream of mushroom (an upgrade, but absolutely worth it) was luxuriously smooth and intensely aromatic -- it truly tasted like freshly blended mushrooms rather than a generic cream base. Rich, velvety, and deeply savory. The pizza had a beautifully crisp crust with that satisfying crunch along the edges, yet still tender inside. The pasta was perfectly al dente with excellent bite. The white sauce was creamy and full-bodied without being runny, coating each strand evenly. The red sauce struck a lovely balance between acidity and sweetness -- bright but not sharp. The stuffed mushrooms were especially juicy and flavorful, releasing a savory broth with every bite. Tiramisu leaned slightly heavier on the liqueur, which I personally enjoyed -- bold, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Portions were very generous; the three of us couldn't finish everything and ended up packing two lunch-sized portions to go. Service was attentive and efficient without being intrusive. The dining room felt comfortable and relaxed -- classic Italian trattoria energy, warm and inviting. A meal that felt thoughtfully executed from start to finish. Already looking forward to coming back.

The service is always great. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, I'm sort of a jokster and the staff is always cool with that. Now, let's get down to business. The food, yes the food. It's delicious, I always order a Chicago style pizza when I go there for an appetizer. It's huge and delicious. Let me tell you, it's so flavorful and loaded with toppings. When I took my first bite of it, it was like the first time a kissed a girl.....amazing and forever stamped into my memory. The stuffed shells are so good too. They are cheesy and it's a huge portion. Not like the ones I eat at the beach, hard and salty. The chicken Parmesan is insane here. So much flavor and you get spaghetti with it. I can never finish it when I get it. Also, the bread they bring out to tables is so toasty and delicious. The waiter also came by and showed me their wine list. He asked me if I wanted some. Of course I ordered their finest Mr. Pibb on tap. The waiter served it to me and introduced it as their finest Pibb xtra with ice. Ooh it's the Pibb I've had at a restaurant. Give this joint a try in you're in town. Even if you're not in town, drive to it, you won't be disappointed. This joint is amazing!

We were told that there was gluten free fare, but I assumed when offering bread to snack on as the first course, there would be an offering for those who are gluten free.. guess not. I picked the salmon which was excellent and my hubby had the clams. He enjoyed both the bread and pasta dish but looked to me for the price that the clams were very small. Just my opinion. We had the calamari which was Awesome and enough for a Meal really! I took things to counteract the breading. And was give. A beautiful dessert to split as it was our anniversary! We will come again as the evening was quite the experience. However I would hope in the future there would be an option in gluten free fare that wasn't just limited to penne pasta.

We went here for mother's day. It was my first time here. It is definitely a pricier establishment…read moreso I was looking forward to finally trying it out. We sat outside and the ambiance (both inside and outside) were nice. The outside was definitely a lot quieter than inside, and the server next to us even offered to turn on the heaters (though not needed). I enjoyed being outside. We started off with appetizers which included grilled octopus and oysters. Although, even though they were on ice, the oysters weren't cold enough for me. Still, we downed them with the fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce and just prayed about it later lol. My family liked the grill octopus. It was tender and had a very smokey char flavor but if I'm being honest, it was not MY favorite so I probably would not personally order again. Even my mom said she thought it was "just alright." I ordered the Branzino and it lacked in flavor. I was not a fan of the green sauce it had on the side. It was not completely terrible, but not great either. It was cooked well and crispy, but that's all I can say for it as even Tabasco didn't make it great. The best thing of the night was probably the lamb chops and the cheese ravioli. They were both cooked well & tasted great so if I were to come back Id stick to pasta and that. The lychee mocktails & their ricotta cheesecake were probably my favorite things on the menu. The tart was decent. Our waiter was slow at times and kept either forgetting certain drinks or what we asked of him or the kitchen was just slower than usual. I'm not sure which, but service wasn't on par with the price point in my opinion. Luckily we were pretty relaxed, but my mom had finished her food by the time her wine arrived. Overall, it was an ok night. My family at least had fun and enjoyed their time there. The food was presented nicely, and service was OK as a whole but I'm not sure I'd come back on my own accord again. Definitely nice to say I've visited & tried it out at least once though!
