I cannot be happier that there is a BOMB Italian food spot only 15 minutes away from me!! Everything that we ordered was seriously a 10/10. The service was also so quick and our server was on it! The pizza was cooked perfectly and so yummy The carrots, broccolini and fingerling potato's were roasted perfectly and had the best seasoning and sauces on top! The pastas were allll so uniquely yummy, you really can't do wrong with any of the choices. The drinks were perfectly made! ANDDDD the desserts were so yummy. The only one I didn't care for personally was the tiramisu as the ratio of lady fingers to cream was not great. Highly recommend making a reservation as the place was nonstop busy on a Friday night. As a party of 2, we got lucky and we were seated at the bar pretty quickly. Really impressed by the variety of craft cocktails and food on the menu. It was hard to choose what to order but we went with the carrots, burrata, branzino, and torchetti pasta. Don't remember the cocktails we ordered. Everything was super delish and unique. We even took dessert to go - a slice of fudgey chocolate cake and a slice of tiramisu. (The chocolate cake was the winner.) Now, I understand restaurants like these course their menus and intentionally bring the plates out one by one. But in this case it took wayy too long, nearly 45 minutes between the veggie course and the burrata. Then another 45 for the main courses, which didn't even come out at the same time. At some points, waiters were even bringing the wrong plates. The bartender who was serving us was really nice and apologetic and even comped a round of our drinks because he noticed how long we were waiting all night. We didn't complain because we weren't in a rush, but it definitely took away from our experience. Total bill was as high as you'd expect for a nice dinner. My partner and I came during DineLa week and wanted to try out this place. First of all, the portions were smaller than expected especially for two people; the focaccia and tiramisu. The pickled peppers were nice with the focaccia. The little gem salad needs to be cut into smaller pieces and broccolini was good, nothing special. My partner ordered the grilled octopus (a la carte) and he thought it was a bit overcooked. The pastas were good nothing to write home about. And the tiramisu was tiny especially for two people to share. $55 per person felt like a scam. Service was not it. We had waiters taking away dishes without even asking if we were done with them. Missing Italia so I craved for Italian food and thought to check out this place. Here on a Friday night, busy, they take reservations but came as a walk-in. Parking is ample but it could get challenging to find a spot on a Friday night. The place is moderately loud of conversations with music humming in the background. This place is Sicilian-inspired which is piqued my interest. Tired their aperol spritz, a bit heavy on the sweet side 6/10. We sat at the bar, waited for a 15-20 min for someone to finally take our order. The focaccia came with picked bell pepper dip and butter; the bread is so good, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside which complimented the dip so 10/10! We waited for another 30 min for our food to arrive after the focaccia was served. Entrees ordered as follows: 1. Spaghetti & Meatballs: pasta is al dente, the meatballs size is almost a size of my fist! It has a very unique taste, smoky and evenly seasoned, and spice builds up as you chew along. chefs kiss 10/10 2. All of the pasta dishes were solid, but here's my ranking: 5/5 Torchetti -- You can't go wrong with ragu, and the ricotta on top was sooo good. 4/5 Cacio e Pepe -- A little too salty for me, but the noodles were really good. 3/5 Rigatoni -- The pesto flavor wasn't super strong, but the pistachio and burrata on top were delicious. We were way too full for dessert, but I definitely want to try it next time! The interior is cozy and a little cramped, but not too bad. My only critique is that the focaccia bread was too crunchy, like it was sitting out for too long, and not the soft pillowy focaccia I am accustomed to. This is a northern Italian restaurant with a bit of Asian fusion to it. Located in Covina, there is plenty of free parking nearby less than a few minutes walk to this restaurant. I went here on a Saturday for dinner and it was not too busy, but I made reservations just in case. We got the charred octopus, lumache, campanelle, New York steak, and a red and white wine. The octopus is pretty good - crispy in most parts and chewy in the other parts - very flavorful and further enhanced by the avocado cream. The lumache is solid but a bit high on the price tag as there wasn't much lobster to the dish. I do like the miso that is a bit light and adds a bit of Asian fusion flair to the dish. The campanelle is a little spicy, not too spicy, with fresh shrimp that is chopped into smaller pieces. This one is a bit more hearty. New York steak is good - could be a bit better with the price tag as there was a bit of fat to it that was a bit hard to cut, especially since they gave us butter knives, not steak knives, to eat. Though they gave one steak knife to share which is a bit suboptimal. Service is decent - it is good for a typical restaurant, but for a restaurant at this price point, it could be slightly improved. Water refills are present and they checked up on us a few times. However, the timing for switching plates for the entree was a bit too rushed and the server failed to give us the correct wine order, but this is slightly rememdied as they did not charge for one of the glasses of wine, so that compensated the service a bit. Otherwise, this is a pretty nice Italian spot that stands out with their focus in the northern region and presents a bit of fusion flavors, something that is a little out of the ordinary compared to a lot of Italian restaurants in the greater LA area. read more

Unfortunately, the service was a miss for me this time around. We had reservations but waited over 30 minutes to be seated. We also weren't given menus and only had cocktail menus at the table until I asked for food item menu. The food was delicious, though! We did the Dine LA menu, which came with a dessert for each person. There were three of us participating and paying for the menu, but we were only given two desserts. Our host was passive with us when we asked if they would text us or give us a call when our table was ready. We had reservations at 8:15p and didn't get seated till 8:55p & thought they forgot us. During that time we ordered a bottle of wine and a mocktail but the mocktail was forgotten until we were seated. Given that it was a busy, we didn't want that affecting the vibe of the night.. We participated in the $55/ per person meal. The focaccia bread was hands down my favorite and the buttery spread combined with the peppers was amazing!! Broccolini, Little Gem, & Burrata were our other picks which were also delicious! When it came to desert they only brought out 2 tiramisu's although it should have been a total of three since it's per person. When we asked they said that they gave us a bigger size on the one that had a slice in the middle of it.. which wasn't the case..& receipt clearly says 3 tiramisu!! After this it shifted the interaction with the waiter in a negative way. To end the night I asked for my food to be packaged to take home and once we paid it was never given to me. Rosalie was packed on a Thursday evening at 6 which tells you how amazing this place is to so many people. The atmosphere is incredible, however it gets really loud which makes it difficult to hear your dinner guests our server. Our server, Alexa, was outstanding. She was very helpful guiding us to discover the house favorites to order. She was spot on with her recommendations. The food comes out as it is cooked, so everyone's food came at different times, but not that far apart. We prefer this, so the food arrives hot. The corkage fee is $30 a bottle, which we thought was a bit high. However, if you buy one bottle from them, they wave the cost of one corkage fee. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of wine, so I ordered the Pineapple Shorty which I highly recommend! Alexa said it was also a house favorite. For starters we ordered the Focaccia bread which comes with the most delicious house butter. You MUST try this! It was my favorite part of the meal. We also ordered the Gem Salad which had the best butter lettuce I have ever been served at a restaurant. It was crisp and chilled perfectly. I wish the the dressing had a bit more flavor though. Btw, it serves 2-3 people. For entrees we ordered the Torchetti which was amazing. Again, I wish it had a bit more flavor. Another dish we ordered was the Bucatini Casio E Pepe which was loved by all. We would definitely come here again. I really want to try the Campanelle next time. Love that there's finally a good Italian restaurant in Covina! Our waitress was kind enough to let us know that there was 6 minutes left to order for happy hour. We decided to try their focaccia, pork meatballs, and broccolini. The yellow corn butter that comes with the focaccia was SOO GOOD! I'd love to learn how to make it. The meatballs were huge and perfect for sharing. I wasn't too fond of the flavor and don't think I'd order it again. Now the broccolini was charred to perfection and the flavors were refreshing. I would highly recommend that dish! For my main dish I went with the torchetti sans pepperoncini. The torchetti was delicious. The pasta was al dente and the burrata with the pork ragu was a nice balance. The serving was generous and I had enough for the next day. I was hoping to try their pizza but the server let us know it was sold out for the day. Overall the ambiance was casual and the server was nice. I love Union, and I love Northern Italian food - reservation made! My partner asked if I'd looked at the menu, because so many of the dishes looked spicy, but I was like... it's northern Italian, how spicy could it be? So beware that if you're spice-sensitive like I am, your options will be more limited. Ambiance was lovely; we sat inside but there is a nice outdoor patio too. Cocktail menu had creative choices, and the To Peach Their Own was my favorite. Standout dishes: Lumache with lobster and miso cream (ate every last bite!), Torchetti with pork ragu, and the tiramisu with sea salt on top. The stars of the meal! Great: Focaccia - don't skip this to start! Good: Burrata. The peaches were a little underripe and the burrata wasn't as creamy as I expected, but the overall dish was good Service was warm and attentive - the staff took the kampachi off our bill, even though we probably should have googled "togarashi" before ordering. They commonly use the phrase "My Pleasure," but Staff felt the most forgettable of the experience. Staff moved quickly, but Staff faded from mind like the wind. My entree arrived within 11 minutes and 22 seconds. Great pace! As mentioned, I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs ($34). I wholeheartedly recommend!! This dish felt special and thoughtfully crafted. The HUGE, dense pork meatballs were larger than baseballs, yet they're juicy, smokey, and thick. The pasta is soft and freshly made, and dish felt hearty yet fragrant. I had PLENTY of leftovers. In addition, I ordered the Foccacia starter ($14). It's DELIGHTFUL! This bread is so fluffy, and the house cultured butter is so satisfying. What sets the speghetti apart from others is a smokey bacon flavor and a tiny sprinkle of spiciness. As an appetizer I ordered the charred octupus. Again, the Mexican influences shime through with the spiced marinade and zesty sauce, grilled onions and radishes. Oh man. Having Rosalie right in my backyard is not good for my wallet. We might end up here every couple of weeks. The food is just sublime. Come during happy hour (Mondays to Thursdays) - that's what we did. We wanted to sample their fare before fully committing. The broccolini was done so well, my son who usually hates veggies couldn't get enough of it. The focaccia is dreamy - it is soft and crusty and when you tear it, makes such a beautiful sound. They offer Parmesan butter and pickled peppers along with it. The pork meatballs were a standout (but you need bread for this to mop up all that delicious sauce). The pizza was light, airy, but held up all that cheese and pepperoni so well. Alexa provided stellar service. She didn't hover but she was always available when we needed her. And she was forthright she answering our questions. She anticipated our needs so well, coming up with a bottle of water right when we needed it. All in all, this is a welcome addition to the roster of restaurants in Covina. It's a beautifully appointed space with lots of parking, delicious Northern Italian food, and top notch service. Once people learn Rosalie is owned by the people that runs Union in Pasadena, it automatically sets the expectation of delicious fresh pasta dishes. It's a casual, relaxed and cozy interior with an energetic atmosphere. The staff moves around at a fast pace and the crowd is lively, but not noisy. There is a smaller dining room by the entrance, a larger space through a doorway and a patio area. The menu has a few similar dishes to Union, like the meatballs and torchetti (based on my memory). We ordered a few pasta dishes and the meatballs as a starter. They're big and delicious as a starter. The lumache, bucatini and torchetti were all very good in their own way. One of richer than the other with different flavor profiles, but the pasta were all Al dente, with a nice chew. They were nicely seasoned without any one ingredient overpowering the others. The only thing I'd suggest is they put red peppers or freshly ground black pepper on the table. The service we received was excellent, as she was very courteous and attentive when time allowed. Sadly I forgot her name. There a huge parking lot next to Rosalie, but when we went for a weekend dinner, it was full. If you circle around a bit, a space might open up. Though there really isn't anything else for us to do around there, Rosalie was worth the drive to get very good Italian food. I have lived in Covina for over 13 years, and this is truly one of the best local spots I have experienced. I am especially glad it is now in my neighborhood. I will start by saying that I am very particular about Italian food. First, the location is perfect, slightly tucked away with ample parking, a cute and inviting atmosphere, and staff who are genuinely kind and welcoming. When giving recommendations, they speak from a place of knowledge and passion for the food, which is always appreciated. We started with the focaccia and house-made butter. Oh my goodness an absolute must. The focaccia was airy and delicious, and the butter was out of this world. I could honestly eat that by itself. I also loved the pickled sweet peppers that accompanied it. The broccolini was cooked to perfection, served in a generous portion, and was somehow a vegetable that even my six-year-old happily ate. Speaking of my six-year-old, he ordered the kids' red spaghetti, which was honestly one of the best children's spaghetti dishes I have ever tasted. It was flavorful, clearly made with quality ingredients, and far exceeded expectations for a kids' meal. My husband and I shared the torchietti with pork ragù. The pasta was perfectly cooked, with a delicious, well-balanced flavor and generous pieces of pork throughout. The house-made ricotta added a rich creaminess that complemented the dish beautifully. We also had the rigatoni pesto with pistachios and burrata. The crunch from the pistachios paired wonderfully with the creaminess of the burrata, while the basil pesto tied everything together. Another delicious dish. My husband ordered a peach cocktail, which he described as perfectly balanced. To finish the evening, we shared a scoop of their house-made vanilla ice cream and a large slice of chocolate cake. The ice cream was velvety, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with the cake. The dark chocolate provided great balance without being too rich, and although the cake appeared dense at first glance, it still had a surprising lightness to it. The persimmon in burrata had skin on but you can eat it no problem. It was very sweet. Torchetti was al dente, pork ragu had so much flavor to it. You need to have the ice cream at the end. I was too full but still wanted something sweet so I shared a scoop of ice cream. And that was the best choice I made. That eggy, milky, rich ice cream. I can tell it's made with love! Every server was really attentive and friendly. Overall, the quality was amazing. If I had to say one thing, it's the price. This isn't weho. Hands down the Best restaurant in the area! Better than everywhere in Glendora, Claremont, West Covina. We have dined 3 Michelin Star joints around the world and this place deserves one! We are so lucky to have this gem in Covina. Legit farm to table. The bread and butter- amazing with the most refreshing pickled peppers and just enough malden salt for the butter. The burratta with peaches and plums was divine. Meatballs were hearty and huge and perfect with the sauce. Maybe needed a hair more salt The caccio e Pepe was to die for. Just like union's in Pasadena- duh. The drinks were great too and the service was warm and friendly! Everything you could want in a restaurant. Real food. Real flavor. No pretense. Food a fancy restaurant that does t have a gluten free option for those that can't eat pasta is just wrong!! Service was ok. The waitress who served us water and told us the history of the cuisine was very friendly and nice . We had reservations at 8 arrives on time but were only accommodated with seating when I asked how they could make us happy because it was crowded, stuffy in one room by the bar, too noisy in the middle room with large parties and finally the outside was told it would be another 45 minute wait. They finally set up a table outside .. we only had to leave because they didn't have gluten free pasta for my needs. We had to find a place with that special need. I would have wanted to try their cuisine but with the choices only being chicken and steak to choose from it would have been hard to stay . As a big fan of Italian food, I was really excited to try this new local spot that opened up! Upon walking in, my first impression was of the great ambiance. It is a nice looking restaurant with a great vibe, much like a restaurant you would find in LA on smaller scale. They were able to accommodate us with a short wait despite not having a reservation and being quite busy! The food was spectacular! They recommend ordering family style, but the dishes aren't especially large. One dish can yield a decent size portion for 2-4 people assuming you order more than one dish. Our server shared that they recommend ordering family style because they have a small kitchen and can't guarantee that they can get all the dishes out at the same time for a table. The Spaghetti & Meatballs were my favorite, and the meatballs were very large! The Rigatoni pesto was good as well, but almost seemed to have a lemon-like undertone that I couldn't quite place. Sadly, the service was somewhat lacking. Our server hardly checked on us, and they forgot to bring the Focaccia bread that we ordered. We didn't get to bring it to their attention until the end of our meal when they came back to ask if we wanted to order dessert. They apologized for forgetting and said they were busier than anticipated. Weirdly, the prices on my bill were different than the menu prices, with some items being a few dollars cheaper and others being more expensive. We walked in on a Saturday and got seated right away. Service was excellent. Super attentive and clean. My husband ordered a beer. We started off with little gem. The salad was fresh and crunchy loved the pepitas. Then we had the spaghetti and meatballs and this was cooked al dente and the sauce was perfection. The meatballs was tasty. We ordered the torchetti as well and this was my favorite dish. I loved the house ricotta and pork ragu. As for dessert we got the lemon ricotta and house made vanilla ice cream. Everything was amazing. I sat at the bar and Gianina was my server and bartender. She was the best and made an excellent Nero martini. It was so good that I already want to come back and try more drinks next time. For food, I had the pork meatballs and the striped bass and everything tasted incredible. Their menu rotates with the seasons and they mentioned they adjusted the bass for fall flavors. What really blew me away was the squash that came with it and how well it complemented the fish. The fish itself was great, but the squash was so good I wanted to lick the plate clean. They source ingredients from local farmers markets, so the menu changes often, which makes me even more excited to come back once it rotates again. Service was amazing overall. Street parking was pretty easy and there are several public lots nearby. Definitely coming back. read more

This is a running walk situation. Excellent food prepared just right. They also add in hints of flavors from other cultures. Very laid back atmosphere and great friendly servers.
