Me and the wife wanted to try some place new, we very much enjoy Mediterranean food and there are a lot of options in Glendora/Covina area. There was just one employee working doing it all and let me tell you he knocked the food right out of the park. He was very friendly and very helpful. It's a cool little spot with a lot of seating if you have a big party. It's a little warm in the area where you order but once you move to the seating area it's nice and cool. The prices are hard to beat , and the quality/quantity and taste are top tier. Tonight we got some light bites to eat with fries and pita and dined in which was nice. Very comfy dining area with nice lighting and plenty of seating. The hummus with beef schwarma was BOMB. Beet Salad, always a win for me. The Baba Ganouj (eggplant) is an absolute star for me. And every time we've gone, it's been nothing but wonderful warm service with gratitude. Also do NOT cheat yourself of getting the in house made pistachio baklava, absolutely perfect in every way! This has become my go-to spot for local Mediterranean food! The kabobs are awesome. The chicken is grilled to perfection, charred on the outside while still somehow staying tender. The beef kebob is also very good. You can't go wrong with either. We love that you can choose from an assortment of side dishes here. We are in love with their potato salad. It's so addicting! We're also fans of the cucumber yogurt salad, which is a really refreshing complement to whatever proteins you get. Oh, and I can't not mention their rice. I could eat an entire bowlful of their rice alone. It's especially good once it absorbs all of the juices from the meat and becomes ultra-packed with flavor and comfort. I've also had their beef shawarma wrap, which comes with a generous helping of shawarma. Decided to try new Kabob this last weekend and have mixed reviews. Clearly by the 4 star review I wasn't unhappy. I personally believe that since they JUST opened they have some issues to work out. I ordered the steak kabob and husband the chicken. Serving sizes were larger than our normal place, however, the steak was a bit tougher. Rice was yummy. I ordered the red cabbage as my side and was surprised it was a mayo dressing, tasty but different. Hummus amazing! Pita's were LARGE!! Tomato Cucumber salad was so good... New restaurant that opened up in the old empanada place. Excellent food and dining area. Meats were moist, salad was good. Pickled veggie was good. Rice was fine. My only complaint were the garlic fries. Zero taste of garlic and super oily. I think they drizzle oil on it after they come out of the fryer or maybe whatever they mix in the fries has oil in it? Fries looked great and were cooked perfect, but just tasted like regular fries. Recommended the place to friends and they tried it the following week with the same experience with the fries. Ever since we read on Facebook about someone's experience trying out Tut's Kabob and how much they enjoyed it I've wanted to try it. We came today, March 8th and ordered the mixed kabob plate. We chose lamb and chicken kabobs with sides of baba ganoush and potato salad. They came on a bit of rice with a large piece of pita bread. There was also a small container of garlic sauce. I have not had that delicious or tender lamb in absolutely years. It was incredible! The chicken was also delicious as was the baba ganoush and the bed of rice the kebabs were on. Next time I am there, I will get hummus instead of the potato salad, which, while not bad, did not stand out in any way. They also had fabulous made in house baklava. All in all, a very nice experience. All of the food was served in to go containers, which made it easy to just pick up and take the leftovers home. Everything was tasty except the bland meat. The chicken kebabs were delicious. I regret ordering the red cabbage. It was covered in mayonnaise and tasted oddly sweet. This place is pretty pricey. For $30 including tip, I don't expect to eat out of a styrofoam container. The restaurant is clean. I was upset about the steak kebab that I mentioned it to the nice man at the register. He was kind enough to apologize for that and offer me another kebab to replace it. I ordered another chicken kebab because that was the only thing that I really liked. The hummus was whatever and the pita was fresh and paired well with their garlic sauce. Maybe I came on a bad day.
