What a great place! We were warmly greeted as we walked in. My friend ordered the beef shawarma bowl and I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and added the combo which came with fries and a drink. There was a good amount of seating and plenty of lighting. We could see them cooking our food and they were not stingy with the portions. My wrap was packed with flavorful chicken shawarma. Wow is an understatement for this fine establishment. When you are craving some fresh and delicious made to order Mediterranean food make Toastyz your first and only choice. It was late and we stumbled on to this restaurant. Came to Toastyz last night for a pre-celebration of my birthday with my husband. Everyone was so welcoming and talked to us and asked how we were doing while they were preparing orders as they come. The food was all freshly made and while we were waiting to get ours, I was already drooling! I even saw them mixing the buttered rice fresh from the rice cooker and I got excited. My husband got the beef shawarma wrap and I got the loaded combo beef and chicken kebab plate. The food was amazing! Salad was fresh, the yellow rice was buttery and tasty. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The place was very cute and the food did not disappoint. Their bread came in smoking hot and we loved that we were eating all of the food fresh out of the grill. The hummus and chipotle hummus were a good combo for our bread. Meats were flavorful as promised. You can taste it apart from all the other food in the order. They took their time to serve and cook our orders. They also offer Mexican home-made salsas which will upgrade the flavor or anything you order. The red salsa had a subtle sweetness to it while the green salsa was citrusy and very Mexican. I love a good Mediterranean spot and according to my fellow Yelpers, this place is it. Tony was very welcoming and kind from the start. I ordered their chicken kabob plate with rice, salad, hummus and pita. The chicken was flavorful and delicious. The only thing I wasn't too satisfied with was their hummus because it tasted a little different than what I'm used to. I know it's just pita but their pita was warm, soft and went perfect with the garlic sauce. I like when my food does not taste salty. Salad was fresh and they didn't just give me lettuce; it was filled with cucumbers, tomatoes, radish, carrots, bell peppers and this light dressing. I loved their grilled vegetables as well. I do agree, yes this place is on the pricier side but you pay for quality. Not too much ventilation inside especially when the grills are on but there's plenty of seating outside in the patio. Inside was clean and bright with plenty of seating options. We got some tips from the staff about what to order and we were very happy with their recommendation . The portions were large and the food was delicious . The beef shawarma was very flavorful and we loved the hummus and the pita bread . The chicken skewerz were moist and it came with some grilled veggies as well. We were in heaven stuffing our pitas with the hummus, garlic spread, beef / chicken and onions. The two of us could barely finish our food . We loved that they had a huge variety of drinks , including a cooler of international sodas as well as refillable lemonades and sodas. I ordered the chicken kabob plate and it was easily a 10/10. The chicken was juicy and full of flavor, the rice was perfectly fluffy, and the hummus tasted fresh and delicious. The food is really good. Everything is made to order. The wrap is filled to the brim with meat and roasted veggies. The roasted squash, peppers, and onions lend a really good smoky flavor on top of the already smoky meat. They don't skimp on the ingredients. The beef kebab loaded plate was also really good. The same roasted veggies and the beef kebab are laid on a bed of seasoned white rice. Both dishes came with a fresh side salad that you can top with the olive oil they keep at the tables. You have to eat the food fresh off the grill because the smokiness kinda goes away after a while which is to be expected. The people are really nice here. You can tell they really care about their business. The drinks are a little on the sweeter side, but they have water of course. All the drinks are self-serve which is nice. Because everything is made to order, it can take up to ten minutes for your food to come out. I think my order came out a bit faster than that, but I came pretty late in the night with fewer people waiting. They keep the place really bright and they're open pretty late which is perfect for people like me who struggle to find good food late at night that won't leave you feeling greasy after. I saw them hand forming their falafels, so I'll have to get that next time. 10/10 recommend giving them a try. read more

Came across this restaurant as I was on my way to my parents. Called the restaurant they were very friendly. I love Middle Eastern food and they had good ratings so I figured why not give them try. I saw this place on my way to another Mediterranean restaurant and decided to stop in for a chicken kebab plate. The employee said they have been open for about a month now. Menu has as the usual Mediterranean offerings as other restaurants. When I received my dish, it was beautiful. I loved how he took the time to sprinkle parsley on top and arrange all the food so nicely. The quality of the food and portions are what make totally worth coming by! The service here is awesome. Staff are really pleasant and it feels like you're part of the family. I tried the chicken shawarma wrap and it was super tasty, meat well-marinated and tender. The owner's son also brought me hummus and baba ganoush to try. Decided to stop in to this location on a night that I was craving Mediterranean food. Don't let the small location fool you, this is spot is a much needed gem for Covina/Glendora area. Options for this here are limited and at some of the other locations the chicken and beef is always dry. That was simply not the case here! Also shout out to the owner who was on the floor, cooking, serving, and was overall a great guy that cares about his customers. He's a great guy and his food is fantastic. The chicken kabob was deliciously tender and seasoned to perfection and the beef (ribeye cuts) were perfectly tender and really the highlight of the plate. The hummus tasted fresh, extremely smooth and not gritty. The salad is a cucumber salad which paired extremely well with the rest of the plate.
