The food is on point, and a generous portion at that! I would say it's reasonably priced too. For $23, I got three kinds of meat, rice, and two sides - tzatziki and tabbouleh. Not pictured is the pita bread and the garlic sauce (which was bomb!). Also, this is very rare but there is truth in their advertising. The food I got looked EXACTLY like the food in their photos. I got the combo beef and lamb kabob. I didn't get a good look at the sample image or see the fine print where it explains that it already comes with rice. So for my side I got rice and salad. The salad was nice and cooling, very juicy. Both the lamb and beef kabobs were nice and tender. The service felt a little slow, but only because both my friends got their food first. I always thought Georgie's was just good for full/on plates and pitas. I had never tried their bowls before today. And I have to say that that entree was good. The lamb bowl had been calling my name but at the last second I went with the kefta kabob bowl. Kefta, when done right, is just an easy meat to get down and just hits the spot when you don't want anything too adventurous or strong-tasting. It's also hard to mess, just like gyro meat, because it's a combination of flavors you already know and like--whether it's beef-based, chicken-based, or lamb-based. And it's paired with the perfect serving of rice. The interior remains spacious and calming as ever. There's never a huge deluge of sound carrying throughout the place. It makes it all very chill. The service was good too, if a little reserved. There really wasn't a lot of banter or checking in on you. They're just nice when taking your order, nice when they're letting you know your food's done, and just let you eat in peace. That's sometimes what you need when it's a fast casual place. With a full-service restaurant it's different. If I'm tipping I want to be served--refills, check-ins, and just general pleasantries once in awhile. But if it's just a local fast casual joint sometimes less attention is better service. Overall, this is still the classy place I remember with the chill vibes. read more

After I walked in, the inside looked very familiar to me. I said to myself... I've been here before, but it wasn't Georgie's back then, it was a pizza place. Anyway, I walked up to the counter and placed my order for the Chicken Kabab Plate with 2 sides, Mediterranean Salad and Tabouleh Salad. It also comes with one pita bread and garlic sauce. Good chunks of chicken. Nice char to them. Flavor was on point, but they were a tad dry for my taste unfortunately. Rice was good, but not as fluffy as the other Georgie's. Pita bread plus garlic gauce together were very tasty. The highlight of my plate were the two sides... both were very delicious! The lady staff who took my order was pleasant and nice. There were 3 orders ahead of me plus to-go orders they had to fill. I waited 10-15 mins for my plate which wasn't too bad. The inside is very spacious. Good number of tables and chairs. After walking in from the 100-degree heat, I was greeted by a warm, slightly humid 80-degree restaurant, already not feeling it, but I had Georgie's before, so I knew it would be worth it. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp Kabob plate with Garlic sauce. I waited 20 minutes for this one order, 5 people in this place, and they already had their food. After the long-anticipated wait, I finally got my order, and I was ready to dig in. DISSAPOINTED TO THE MAX!!! Food was hot, a good sign, you would think of freshness. Nahhhh, the chicken kabob was soooo DRY I had to chase it down with water to even chew through it, and the shrimp had a slight fishy taste and smell that threw me off to eating that. The Tzatziki was a little on the sour side, and the red cabbage salad was bland and flavorless. All in all, I won't be returning to this location in the future, it's a shame too, because I liked Georgie's. There was only one chef cooking and we waited for our food about 10-15 minutes but it was well worth it. I got these two plates. Lamb chops - I got this with spicy hummus and Mediterranean salad. The lamb was so flavorful and tender. Easily one of the best items on the menu and you can't go wrong with this. (5/5) Chicken kebab - I got this with potato salad and cucumber yogurt. Chicken was super moist and had so much flavor to it. Rice also was super delicious and plentiful. Very reasonable portions for the price. Easy (5/5) This place hit the spot and I felt it was pretty reasonably priced for what you get. Don't skip on the garlic sauce because it's delicious. I really don't know why we haven't checked out this place sooner. The rice pilaf is so delicious and I think it's what sets it apart from other Mediterranean places, at least to me. The rice is so buttery and tasty and has the perfect texture. They really perfected it. I usually get chicken kabobs and haven't been disappointed yet! Any of the sides are great. I just tried the grape leaves recently and enjoyed those, along with the pickles. Spicy hummus is still a staple though, and the plates come with a pita. If you're looking for a low carb/keto option. The chicken shawarma bowl is a solid option. I got it on a bed of lettuce and add tabouleh, and I put the garlic sauce on it. You can without the added salad, but if you want to get away from the usual rice (which is awesome!) that comes with the plate, this is a strong option. It tasted awesome. I don't think this bowl will knock you out of ketosis. The decrease in star though is with the service. The recent/newer set of employees isn't being trained well on cashier etiquette. They either lack knowledge of the menu (the guy didn't know what kibbeh is and for new customers who asked how to order, he said their default dish is the chicken shawarma plate) or they lack basic customer service skills. They're on their phone. They don't reply when you thank them. I'm not sure if the father/uncle/owner is around anymore, but a part of me wants to visit the Covina location in case he's around since he used to walk around and just see how everyone was doing. Food here is still awesome. Service is very substandard now. Whoever manages this location should work on improving this aspect of this location. read more

I work near Glendora so I figured why not try this one. I went with my family since we were in the area. It wasn't busy at all. We ordered our food, and they forgot about us. Probably close to 40 minutes later we got our food which I believe is only because we asked twice what the status was. When calling out the order numbers they skipped us. We only had 2 plates. We watched people come in after us, order more plates, and still get their food before us. My husband went a month later with our son thinking that was a one off. They stopped there while Xmas shopping. Over an hour after ordering my husband had to go ask what was going on. Again they skipped his number and this time it was only 1 plate. He asked more than once what the status was and it wasn't until he asked for a refund did the plate magically appear. Of course since he requested the refund they kept the plate and ended up going to eat somewhere else. Like I said, the food is good so if you're willing to wait over an hour for your food, maybe be skipped a few times, then go for it. read more
