This is my favorite "fast food" EVER in ANC! This location in particular has the greatest young men that work there. I literally love going here bc the guys that work are always on task, obviously work hard, make sure everything is great, and they are super kind. No it's not the most amazing "atmosphere" or whatever inside a pita pit, but the dudes at this location make it a go-to for me! Sorry I don't have a fancy pic of my falafel pita(my personal fav) but I'll take one next time in! I came down here for lunch and a lighter option as opposed to the heavy meals I have been eating the past couple of weeks. (Hence, the recent check-in at Planet Fitness....). This Pita Pit is located a stone's throw away from Regal Cinemas and across from Pier 1 Imports in the large shopping complex at the end of Muldoon. The decision to come down here was an easy one. After getting one of their loyalty cards on a previous visit which has since been changed to an app for your phone, there have been some good deals sent to me by e-mail and the promise of a free drink with a purchase of a pita was too good to pass up. The seating area is the same as the other locations which means it can get pretty cramped during the lunch rush. The employees here are pretty friendly even during the stress of dealing with a line of customers. After hitting the gym, I needed a healthier meal with a good mix of protein and vegetables. I decided to try the Chicken Pesto Pita (chicken breast grilled in pesto, roasted red peppers, onions, feta, romaine lettuce, and Greek seasonings on a whole-wheat pita). This is one of several options on their new menu of Artisan Pitas. The wait can take several minutes since they do have a cafeteria-style setup for preparing orders cooking the meats on the grill while customers are standing in front of the counter picking out the ingredients they want before the pitas are ready. A wait like this was understandable around this time of day so that was hardly an issue. The Chicken Pesto Pita was delicious with plenty of red peppers covered in melted feta cheese as well as the Special Sauce (House Sauce that can be added on request with garlic) was a great complement to the pesto seared into the chicken. Other pitas listed on the new Artisan Menu include the Bacon Cheeseburger (steak, bacon, melted cheddar, iceberg lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions, mustard, light mayo and a maple seasoning), the Thai Chicken (grilled chicken in satay sauce, spinach, carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, red and green peppers with mojito lime seasoning), and the Boom Boom Black Bean (veggie patty with grilled onions, melted cheddar, romaine, tomatoes, cilantro, green peppers, and boom boom sauce). Been meaning to try spot for a while. I'd heard they give to a lot of non-profit and community groups and I enjoy supporting those myself. Today we came in for lunch, Sunday, so not many people in the store. I went with the Gyro and my son had the club, both with chips and drink. My Gyro was delicious. Perfectly cooked lamb and beef with fresh toppings and a warm pita. I had it as advertised but not a fan of the olives, next time I'll do without. Otherwise, it was a good gyro. My son said his club pita was really good as well. Meant to take pictures of the sandwich but couldn't help but dig in when it www ready, next time I'll get one. The staff were all helpful and professional. The store was also clean and well stocked. Oh and these folks also give a 10% discount to military and veterans. Many places give to military but not always vets so this is a great reason to show these folks some love and go check them out, you won't be disappointed. read more

No complaints here :-) this was our first time at a Pita Pit and overall a great experience. We weren't sure how it all worked but the young lady at the register made us feel very welcome and explained the entire process. Everyone there was very nice and welcoming and very swift in preparing our pitas. So basically this place has similar concepts to Subway and Chipotle except with Pitas and hummus and more Mediterranean goodness. You choose your meat, or veggies, your pita of choice and then all the fixins and sauces for your pita. The entire process was pretty swift (but this was on a Sunday afternoon). I can imagine it's alot more packed on weekday lunch hours. Anyhow my pita was enjoyable and nice wrapped so that eating it was not much of a mess. Very excited to try other items on their menu :-) They also have delivery for an additional $3. Not bad :-) read more

Great place to grab a quick bite. Similar to subway except they use pitas and grill their meats. The variety of sauces really make the pitas taste great. However, this location is always busy during lunch hour since it is right outside JBER-Muldoon gate. Tip: NEVER say dine in, because they will rip the top half of the wrapper and you can't lay your pita on the table while getting fountain drinks. read more

I don't know what Pita Pit puts in their pitas, or if it's in the water, but dang! PITA PIT I LOVE YOU! I love you so much that I am reviewing you as I mow down my hot pita. I get the same falafel pita every time, and today, an employee really went above and beyond for me. She remembered my order from last time (I had to sneak a pita into the Pokémon movie, I can't with movie theater food) and made some great suggestions for grilled toppings that changed the way I eat my same old pita forever. I am constantly amazed by the above and beyond service I get from Pita Pit, but the radtastic employee who remembered me and my order is by far my favorite (sorry other people, you're amazing too, but this girl seriously has got zazzle). I also love their prices: $8.25 for my sandwich. Lots of meat options as well as vegetarian and vegan ones, and a handy allergy guide is prominently displayed on the counter. Professional. Friendly. For fast food it doesn't get much better. My wife and I eat here a lot because they cater to her food allergies and even cook here meat and veggies in a different pan and one worker makes her pita. This is the stuff that matters to me when reviewing places. I give four stars cause sometimes we get service that isn't great which is under stable when dealing with fast food but still frustrating. read more

How can you not love this food? I've been a fan since the first one opened in Anchorage 5 years ago. Moved to Hawaii shortly thereafter and have gone without ever since! I even investigated opening a franchise in Honolulu -- that's how bad I missed it. But I just went back to visit family in Anchorage and lucky me -- this new store is located not too far from my daughter's house... how convenient! Managed to slip away one day and enjoyed two freshly made pitas, composed of and stuffed with exactly what I wanted. I love being able to do that -- something I've grown tired of at Subway (the only other similar option). This franchise has a winning taste that equates to a winning formula for success. America is eating fresh these days and right now, Pita Pit is king of the hill. If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing. read more

It was greasy. Sooooooo greasy! From the vinaigrette I suppose. However. .The flavors exploded in my mouth and it filled me up with cruncy veg and meat. I'm OK with that. Went in for a lunch around 1:30. Place was busy but only 2 people behind the counter. Speed was not a way of life for them. After a while, a 3rd emerged from the back room and things picked up a little. A printed sign read that your meal would be made by one individual. Nope, at least 2 sometimes 3 dealt with the sandwiches. Also read they'd change gloves with each order. Again nope. The people didn't change gloves once in 15 orders. Not sure they read the sign. All in all, be a couple months before I return, if I do. read more

Quality stuff, I've gotten the buffalo chicken pita and the gyro, both are excellent. The only downside is there appears to be a set amount of each veggie. When I ordered the gyro, I got the same amount of non-grilled onions as I got grilled onions on my buffalo, so in the future I will be sure to specify light on veggies I don't want a ton of. I was really disappointed on this visit I am a regular at this location and the gentleman helping me I am assuming was a manager of sorts as he was not in a uniform. Was rude and seemed very put out about helping customers in general the whole vibe of the store seemed off. I ended up just getting a refund instead of dealing with the guy helping me. I drive across Anchorage for dinner, checked hours said open till 7pm. I walked in 6:55pm and three customers already being served. A cook looks up doesn't say hi...rudely states I can't serve you. I look at the time on my phone still before 7pm, I go to the car call the restaurant only be directed to an email for complaints or suggestions. I send an email and then go inside still before 7pm to request the manager or owners name. The two employees were cocky and state the owner won't care we always stop taking orders before 7pm...we texted the manager/owner already. I sent an email no response, the restaurant should list hours till 6:45 or employees should be courteous when letting you know why they can't wait on you. During this covid situation restaurants that have loyal customers should appreciate them instead of being rude! I will not return to this pita pit or any others in Anchorage and will share my negative experience! #badservice read more

Been coming here a few times already and I've been getting consistent good food. Love their tzatziki sauce, and I always ask for extra which they gladly put in my order. It gets pretty crowded during lunch time but the crew works fast so the wait doesn't really take too long. They all seem very friendly too.
