    Chicken Banh-Mi

Pita Jungle is a great spot in the valley that never disappoints. My wife and I recently tried this location for lunch and it was excellent. She had the chicken shawarma and I went with the banh mi sandwich. Of course, if you come to PJ you better have some hummus too. I also recommend the house-brewed ice tea that is fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the staff is always very friendly. I have never had a bad meal at PJ and definitely didn't start this visit!

This is a place I've been coming to since 99' in Tempe, but the great thing is all of the locations have a similar vibe with the same great customer service and great food for an affordable price. Pita Jungle for president. Long live the Medchilada!

The employees at this location are friendly and customer service is great. We ordered food for pickup and the order was correct and fast. I love that they have multiple healthy kids meal options to choose from (protein + carb + veggie + fruit). The kids to-go cups are cute and the guava lemonade was a hit. My favorite is always the sides, cilantro jalapeño hummus and potatoes. This time we got gyros and they were just okay. The gluten free pita tasted good (I hope it was actually GF, the gyro wrap wasn't labeled), but the gyro meat had too many burnt pieces. I prefer other menu items like their flatbreads and bowls and would order differently next time. I'll keep coming for the healthy variety and the hummus! Thanks for a great meal for the whole family

Ok, tried the Tuscan Salmon Salad tonight and it was fantastic. I give kudos to the kitchen staff because they work tirelessly even when their wood fired oven broke down. We also got our usual hummus trio small plate with green and red Sriracha sauce..., mmmm , mmmm, mmmmm. Oh top this off with dessert? Carrot cake please! Gotta love the Pita Jungle on Williamsfield in the Town of Gilbert. ‍

We haven't been to Pita Jungle in over a year. We decided to stop in for a quick dinner. They have an expansive gluten free menu! Our service was great and it was a nice relaxed vibe for dinner!

Pita Jungle never disappoints! My friend and I met for lunch and l ordered a la carte on the "inflation" menu and got 3 different tacos. Cauliflower, falafel and chicken. My favorite was the falafel, the spices and sauce were awesome! And it was a great deal for $9! *not sure if the menu is a limited time offer* However, you can not go wrong with some of the Pita Jungle staples: -hummus with grilled chicken -Philly chicken pita -garlic dip -Mediterranean chicken shawarma ....to name a few! My only minor complaint was the service. The gal who served us was nice enough but you could tell she didn't want to be there...or maybe her shift was ending? Either way.

We gave up on this place after a few terrible experiences when we first moved here. Now we love it! The food is so healthy, and more importantly it all tastes good. We have had much better service over the past year and we often go here for a quick date night during the work week. It is not fancy at all, but it is clean and the price is very reasonable for the quality. The hummus, kafta pizza, and the mahi mahi are a few of our favorites.

Does curbside pickup normally take more than a half hour because that's how long I've been waiting here?

Hi Alfonso, I am not at the restaurant and don't know what time you were quoted, etc. Have you tried calling them?

Are you requiring your servers to wear masks?

    Yes!

Do they have a back room like the ahwatukee location for big parties that want a little more space? If so, is there a minimum order for that room/area?

No back room at this location

Does anyone know if there meat is halal?

Hi Roobi, it is not Halal! Thank you, Kevin

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.

The atmosphere is upbeat, bright, and welcoming with a really good energy whether you're stopping in for lunch, dinner, or meeting up with a larger group. The setup works especially well for groups since there's plenty of seating and the ordering process keeps things moving even when it's busy. One thing they do very well is efficiency without losing hospitality. They have both a dine-in ordering counter and a dedicated to-go counter, which seems necessary because this place stays packed. Even during busy times, the staff stays friendly, attentive, and organized. You can tell there's real attention paid to each order and that management understands how to run a smooth restaurant operation. The menu has a lot of solid choices whether you want something lighter, comforting, vegetarian, or protein-packed. Portions were satisfying, and the broccoli deserves its own mention -- somehow simple but absolutely addictive. My only real note is that pricing feels a little high for an order-at-the-counter style restaurant. That said, the quality, atmosphere, and overall experience do make it easier to justify once in a while.

I love the paned windows that look out onto the patio, the very high ceilings, and the brown rattan lighting fixtures. Even though the space is quite large, it's extremely inviting. That said, it's a great place for something healthy. I feel like you can't go wrong with any of the choices if you're trying to eat well. My friends lunch looked much better than what I had. I had the Flying Avocado Wrap, and I didn't love it. In fact I didn't finish even half of it - - I took it home and my son ate it. I think it's the bread I don't like, and anyone who knows me knows I can be really picky. Will I come back? Probably. When I have lunch with somebody else who wants to come here, I won't have a problem with it. I would really like to try the forbidden Rice that my friend had. When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again.

I don't remember what flavor, but it was tasty and refreshing. My order didn't take too long and I waited to enjoy them at home. The tofu tacos were phenomenal! Full of flavor and way better than I expected. The bacon mac and cheese was also fantastic. It was rich and creamy. I couldn't finish everything in one sitting as much as I wanted to, but was happy to have bacon mac and cheese leftovers for the next day!

I had this place bookmarked and was in the area one day, so I decided to grab lunch from here. I…read moreordered online for pickup and drove over. Not too busy of a shopping area so parking was easy. I walked inside and a staff member asked if I was picking up, and had my food ready to go. I didn't ask for utensils and thankfully they didn't give me any. They do have them available on the side if needed. I liked that they had free stickers so I took two. It wasn't busy when I stopped by, just one couple dining in, but they had a few bags for takeout so that seems to keep them busy. Ambiance was nice with good amount of seating. I decided to have lunch in the nearby preserve and I enjoyed my food. I ordered the chickn sandwich, buffalo style, with a side of fries. The sandwich was delicious! Loved the flavors and it was filling. I'm glad I got it Buffalo style because the spiciness was great. The fries tasted good but were soft rather than crispy, which is what I prefer. I also got a side of cheez sauce ($2) which was pricey considering the size, and it didn't taste like cheese or anything similar. I would pass on this in the future. I ordered their Brussels sprouts which came with a side of tahini sauce, but they were salty and yummy so the sauce wasn't necessary imo. Overall I love vegan food and I wish there were more restaurants that serve it. This spot is solid and I'd come back to try other menu items and support them.
