I'm super disappointed with this Pita Jungle locations my family of four came here for dinner Friday evening. The inside had ample seating and we were seated right away, which is why I'm giving one star. For not being busy for a Friday night, service was slow and we didn't get our food until 45 minutes after ordering. To top it off, my families waters were never refilled and we didn't get any status on food as our night went on. I ordered the fish pasta which was a HUGE LET DOWN. The dish came out with this liquid sauce that didn't even settle into a pasta sauce. The noodles were bland and so was the flavor. It came with chopped up fish and a few pieces of shrimp, so I ate those to at least get my $20 worth for a lack luster soup dish. They should remove it off the menu it was that bad! My kids ordered the pasta salad with chicken, and the chicken was not consistent with either plate. My daughter's chicken was dried. My husband ordered the ahi tuna which came out well done. I thought for a minute he ordered the chicken. I don't think I would recommend or visit this location unless I heard better news from others. read more

Came in with a group of 10 today for late lunch. We were seated quickly. We had 1 server for all of us but she did a great job accommodating all our lemon for the water requests. We all ordered different stuff and everyone said their food was really good. I enjoyed a variety of things off the happy hour sampler menu. I got a hummus trio, sautéed mushrooms, and tomato and mozz salad. Portions were a bit smaller than I was expecting but I enjoyed it all. Though there were only nine of us, I placed an online catering order for 10 people. My father and I arrived shortly after Pita Jungle opened. They let me know they were out of one of the hummus I ordered and they replaced it with something else. I thought it was sort of odd to run out of something right when they opened, but it wasn't a big deal. Everything else was correct. We laid everything out once we got home and the portions were pretty big. It was more than enough for all of us, with some leftovers, too. Pita Jungle is a great spot in the valley that never disappoints. My wife and I recently tried this location for lunch and it was excellent. She had the chicken shawarma and I went with the banh mi sandwich. Of course, if you come to PJ you better have some hummus too. I also recommend the house-brewed ice tea that is fantastic. I'm guessing they are putting their new people in charge of cooking the to go orders, I can't think of any other reason why 90% of the orders that I've had delivered or through pick up the last year have been a complete waste of money. Recipes not followed. Overcooked salmon. Ingredients in my meal that I asked to be removed. Ingredients I wanted not being in my meal. No dressing for my salad. No pita for my dips. Why is this drowning in oil? Why does this dip taste like it has mint in it? Absolutely devastated that I fell in love with a brand where the location nearest to me continuously under performs. The employees at this location are friendly and customer service is great. We ordered food for pickup and the order was correct and fast. I love that they have multiple healthy kids meal options to choose from (protein + carb + veggie + fruit). The kids to-go cups are cute and the guava lemonade was a hit. My favorite is always the sides, cilantro jalapeño hummus and potatoes. This time we got gyros and they were just okay. The gluten free pita tasted good (I hope it was actually GF, the gyro wrap wasn't labeled), but the gyro meat had too many burnt pieces. I prefer other menu items like their flatbreads and bowls and would order differently next time. I'll keep coming for the healthy variety and the hummus! We visit the Gilbert Pita Jungle often, tonight's experience was extra special. As we were seated I was moved by the local artist paintings on the walls, which is always a high point. This particular evening our server, Emma was exceptional. She greeted us with a smile, was kind and attentive. I have to preface this by saying that I eat Pita Jungle often. One of my go to items is their blue corn nachos. I love this more than regular nachos. But tonight I ordered it via Postmates and I was so disappointed! Imagine looking forward to something only to have it arrive and it not taste or look the same as you've had it many times before. The tzatziki was not what I'm used to having and the beans were so sour like they poured a lot of lemon/lime juice into it. I never even tasted lemon/lime in the beans before. I really enjoy eating here. I always get the Chicken Philly Pita. I am not embarrassed to say but I bring some green chile from my home. I ask to remove the bell peppers because they're not cooked to my likings. But adding that green chile on that marinade chicken with the grilled onions and pita it's delicious. I think I just found my favorite lunch spot! That Mediterranean roasted chicken shawarma pita is the best meal I've had in a long time. We gave up on this place after a few terrible experiences when we first moved here. Now we love it! The food is so healthy, and more importantly it all tastes good. We have had much better service over the past year and we often go here for a quick date night during the work week. The food and service here can be quite a hit or miss. On my last visit it was a big ol miss. We were a party of 4 and so we waited a few minutes for a table to clear up. For some reason it was pretty busy. Once ready we were seated by the kitchen. Our sever then took her time to come over and get our drink orders. After getting our drinks, we decided we were ready to order. We ordered hummus and pita to start with and it came out quickly. It was actually so goood that we ended up ordering a second round. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and the salmon was lukewarm. Did not want to complain so I ate it like that. The potatoes were fluffy and flavorful. Aside from the salmon not being hot, it tasted really good. Our drinks sat empty and we had to flag down our sever for refills multiple times. I went to Pita Jungle with my girlfriend to celebrate our 5th year anniversary before we head to Hawaii. We walked in around 4pm for an early dinner. It was very peaceful and quiet. The waiter was very nice, she made sure that we had everything taken cared of. She got our drinks and waited when we were ready to order. I got cilantro and jalapeño hummus for starters, I ordered a Philly steak pita with pita chips with a Dr Pepper and my girlfriend ordered a falafel pita. The wait time was not that bad and we got our starters immediately but I do have to admit the pita from the cilantro and jalapeno hummus wasn't as fresh as we expected. However, with everything else it was delicious. I always come to pita jungle for their pita chips, I'm crazy for them. The Philly steak pita was very hot and delicious and it felt really light and healthy to still eat. Afterwards I got a Dr Pepper to go and it was huge without extra cost and I got some pita chips to go as well. The service is excellent, the food was delicious, and filling.
