Been here multiple times now. Great happy hour with very good food on happy hour menu and beer and wine specials. You can't take the happy hour to bocce and bowling but still had a good time. Service was consistent and good. I've bowled and it's a lot of fun right down in Georgetown. bocce is so much fun and hey have a few courts to play on which is very nice. Overall a great time. A little pricey but it's Georgetown and if you hit the happy hour first it's totally worth it! read more

I found this place firstly because it's around the corner from Sequoia's. Secondly, it is family friendly. Children 5 and under eat free. For adults who want bottomless mimosas, it's $36 and for those who don't want to drink, it is $30. PLUS they have bowling upstairs for those who are interested. My girlfriend and I were gonna bring her kids but plans changed and we were able to go kid free!  Also, parking was a doozy. I don't like street parking so into the garage we went. I think we paid like $16.A little FYI... if you make reservations you pay up front at their front desk. However, if you eat at the bar you get the bill delivered to your table after eating. I thought that was interesting. Just an observation. We ended up sitting at the bar since there was no wait there.Anyway, let's get into the menu. Our first stop was for breakfast items. We got waffles (which are like mini waffles ) with whipped cream and strawberries as well as omeletes. They add salt, pepper, pepper flakes if you want as an option to your omelette. I have never seen that before. I got mushrooms, spinach, onions, and cheeses in my egg white omelet. At the kids station, there were chicken tenders so I nabbed a couple of those for chicken and waffles lol. I also took some scrambled eggs. Went back to the table to eat. Listen to me.... those waffles... were pillows of heaven in each bite that melt in your mouth! Firm, buttery and soft at the same time. The kids eggs were well seasoned and the chicken tenders went very well with the waffles. Next plate, had three more waffles with balsamic cream, whipped cream and strawberries. That balsamic cream was absolutely amazing! Sweet and yummy! Nothing that I expected to bless my tastebuds in that type of way.Next up, the lunch portion. They had very few options. I kept thinking maybe there's more around the corner but nope! There was self peel shrimp with cocktail sauce, pasta with meatballs, chicken madeira, frittata, fried potatoes, fruit, butter lettuce with chicken salad in it, little tomatoes or peppers with tuna salad in it, Marguerite flatbread, prime rib, ham, breads, yogurt parfait, and kids Mac and cheese. I expected more Italian foods. The flatbread was delish! My friend and I both agreed that the chicken salad was fabulous! It was so well seasoned. The frittata was dry and unappetizing. The chicken Madeira was just ok, a little tough to chew. However, I definitely went back for another round of WAFFLES! I could still taste those syrupy pillows of heaven even now. Oh but let's not forget the dessert table. There were carrot cake bites, cremebrule cheesecake bites, brownies, cookies, and a chocolate fondue machine. I had the marshmallows, strawberries and Rice Krispie treats get a little chocolate on them. Everything was good there except the cookies were tough.Overall, Pinstripes is a beautiful place, interesting location on Wisconsin, good service, great food that contained some well seasoned dishes, and has a great dessert bar! Pinstripes is cool. I gave it 3 stars for the simple fact that they raised the prices by $6-$10 and the food is good and basic. I saw someone posted that the food was wonderful and I was like whaaaaat and slightly beside myself thinking they must be basic. Don't get me wrong the food is fine and gets the job done for the most part but it's definitely not amazing and definitely not something to write home about. They offer you a little of everything (pizza, pasta, sandwiches, waffles, meats, salad, fruit, bagels and an assortment of desserts). They also offer a make your own Bloody Mary station as well as endless mimosas for $36. I think for the simplicity of the food it's high and because I know the original prices. As far as reservations go I'd say make one to be safe but I've never had a problem coming earlier than my reservation time or sometimes a little later on Sunday's. If you have a large group (over 4/5) definitely make one. I'm not sure how other days work I just simply know the brunch aspect. read more

A fun place to go! Went there for my boyfriends birthday on a Wednesday night. We bowled and played bocci. We ended up with the very first bowling lane. If you get that lane, beware that you will likely kick the wall while doing your follow through to release the ball if you have an actual approach. This was no fun. And I'm only 5'3"... Nevertheless it was still a good time. It's nice that it's bowl by the game and not the hour so you don't get kicked out mid-game. Bocci was great too. The course is a little off kilter and it was my first time playing. We ordered dinner at the lanes. The pastas were okay. The sandwiches and apps were better. The desserts were less than satisfactory. I ordered the s'mores which sounded fantastic but the 'homemade' marshmallows were like eating rubber. You couldn't bite it. So upsetting!! On September 3rd 2018 the family and I had lunch at Pinstripes. We did not play bocce or bowling. The waiter was on point. Zauhair made suggestions and explained each dish ingredients and how it's made. The food was excellent, imo. He even came out to let us know that they had overcooked the chicken and it will be a 4 min delay. Also, he gave us the soup of the day on the house, which was fantastic. I live in Brooklyn, NY, but Pinstripes is my go to place when I visit Washington D.C. again. read more

They have good food, solid drinks and great entertainment. Their happy hour has great deals on drinks, appetizers, flatbreads and pizzas. The BBQ chicken pizza is delicious. You have to make sure to make a reservation in advance if you want to bowl, but bocce ball is usually available. read more

First, there would be more stars if I could only reference to restaurants ambience and bowling area. I absolutely loved it. I will return to BOWL AND DRINK ONLY. Yesterday evening friends and I met there to celebrate a birthday. I ordered the roasted turkey Cobb salad (horribly salty), did not complete dish. The birthday girl ordered the brisket, I believe. She enjoyed her meal. Two other friends ordered, the gumbo was decent but the baby back ribs were, you guessed it horribly salty. The waiter was not attentive at all. The time was 10pm. There wasn't many people dining. It was a very bad dining experience. The birthday girl had a small case of food poisoning the day after. Needless to say she'd probably prefer salty over bacteria. To start off, I dislike leaving one-star or all negative reviews, however Pinstripes deserves zero. My friend Sarah, who doesn't have a Yelp, but had an experience much different than mine, was with me and will be expressing her concerns in a section of this review. Joseph - first impression was super cute! The bar area was lovely and even though the hostess said there would be a wait, there was a nice bar top available immediately. I ran to the restroom and even when I came back, no one had been by the table. Fine, because it was busy. So Sarah went to stand at the left of the bar and I saw the bartender look at her and proceed to help someone else. I was a little thrown off by this because clearly Sarah was there first, but I wasn't sure if the bar tender had made a gesture at Sarah indicating she'd be with her in a second. Sarah then moved to the other side of the bar and was again looked at and ignored for someone who had been there less time than Sarah. She moved another time and was finally able to get the attention of the bar tender who responded with, "Please go sit down and I will get to you when I am able." When I heard this, I decided we would not be dining at Pinstripes. Sarah- The over setting is beautiful however the customer service that the red head bartender provided was distasteful. Because it was happy hour was ending soon I wanted to put in our order . No one came to bring us a menu or offered us water so I went over to the bar. No one acknowledged me when i was standing at the far right corner. Once I saw 4 people get assistance, mind you they were standing near me so it wasn't like she couldn't see me, I moved over to the front. I stood there and yet she didn't acknowledge me even though she made eye contact. So I decided to sit at the bar when a seat became available. The bar tender told an older lady who was standing where i was standing the first time that she would be over even though I was right in front of her ! She proceeded to go help out another girl sitting on the other side of the bar. At that point I was annoyed because of the amount of people she's helped before me. The least she could do is tell me she'd be assist me when she was able to do so , just common courtesy. So I said "excuse i'm ready to order." She responded "I'm busy , i'll help you when i'm ready ." Clearly I was taken back at how rude she was to me but yet she had pleasant responses for every other person at the bar . She then proceeded to tell me "Please go sit down and I will get to you when i'm available ." Maybe it's because i was the only black person at the bar , yes i'm pulling the racial card because i don't understand why else she would be rude to me for no apparent reason. All I wanted was to be acknowledged or told that she would be with me when she had a minute. I then went to the front desk and asked the hostesses if they would make an exception for me and my friend to still order our drinks even though happy happy hour ended . They were helpful and called their manager . My friend and I decided with how the disrespectful, apparently racist red head bartender treated us we no longer wanted to eat and give our money to a service such as this. read more

Kind of hard to give a true rating to pinstripes. located in the heart of georgetown, don't expect a cheap night out. we came for the bowling ($20/per person/per hour). bowling is WAY more fun with cocktails, and luckily you have a waitress that comes to your lane to take your food and drink orders. the food was fine. come for the bowling - maybe munch on some things if you absolutely need to. but whatever you do, i hope you get Caitlin as your waitress because she was awesome. we came on a saturday night and it was super busy but she made a point to stop by regularly, check in on us, and address any concerns we had. read more

The food was very good and from what I heard my companions saying everything from what I had (the calamari) to the veggie burger was delicious. Service was pretty slow, especially as there weren't that many people there... They definitely could change the cleaner/ waiter ratio seeing as my server was having a hard time keeping up while there were like3 people sweeping. Their alcoholic beverages take a bit longer than necessary to arrive but otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience. Word to the wise, if you plan on bowling here make sure you have a reservation and get there on time. They will give your reservation away if you are more than 15 minutes late and they don't call to see if you are still coming. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Georgetown. This place is good for many activities and seriously has it all: Dining, bar, brunch, huge space upstairs and lots of room on main floor for events, bocce ball and bowling alley in back, outside dining on the canal. Food: Fresh, organic, great menu. I'm really impressed. Good wine selections. Outside is elegant and rustic. Perfect place to have a summer dinner before sunset or have a good glass of wine. I've been to Pinstripes before for Saturday lunch as we live within walking distance. The food is surprisingly good. But now I want to book a lane for my daughter's birthday two months from now and I'm told they don't take reservations this early. Since when is 2 months in advance that far away? I was told that they will call me within 2 weeks of the date to let me know availability. Availability may depend on if there are special events. This seems like a strange business model. I really disliked Pinstripes. I went for a work event with a group of 6 other women to bowl and get dinner after. Because it was a work event, I didn't even pay with my own money as it was paid for by my company and I still hated it so much. Typically if you get to try something for free people can't help but go a little easier on a place because they didn't lose out on a monetary investment. I feel like I wasted some of my life visiting this place so although I didn't pay monetarily, I still paid. This location, like many places in Georgetown, screams self importance. The difference is other self important locations in Georgetown have a semblance of a reason to feel that way. The concept is a fancy bowling alley with fancy cocktails and fancy dinner but everything about this place, besides the actual prices listed, felt cheap. The staff at the front desk and bar were unhelpful and made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by giving them our money. We each got a drink at the bar while we waited for our bowling lane and we asked if we had to close out or if we could transfer the check to our bowling tab. The bartender replied yes and when our lane was ready we began to head back to the bowling area without closing out. We were then chased down and told kind of rudely by THE SAME BARTENDER that we needed to close out before we left. Maybe we misheard him or misunderstood what his intent was but everyone in our party heard him say we could go ahead and go and have our tab transferred.This is definitely not a big deal, probably a misunderstanding but it did not bode well for the rest of the evening. After we were confronted by the flip flopping bartender, the woman who let us know our lane was ready led us to the bowling area and as she was showing us the way she stops and asks us why we don't have shoes. I replied that we hadn't gotten them yet and she, sounding annoyed, let us know that we should have gotten them at the front desk before she led us back to the bowling area. I am very unsure how we were supposed to know this information as she didn't let us know when we checked in or when we were called up to go to our lane. This place was a disorganized cluster fuck. While we were bowling our server (third employee we dealt with) took our orders, brought what we wanted, and we never saw him again. We had people in our group who wanted to get a second drink who were neglected. After we were done bowling/being ignored we went to eat dinner in the emptiest dining area. This should have be the first sign that the night was not going to improve during dinner. The cocktail selection sounded like the cocktails had been crafted with some care when really they were comprised of premixed corn syrup shit and rubbing alcohol. Finally the food was just disappointing. I got the fettuccine bolognese and it was blah. Overcooked pasta, overly salty sauce, dry, boring, and the glob of mascarpone on top couldn't salvage it. Like the rest of the experience, the menu looked better than it seemed. Pinstripes is a the real life example of don't judge a book by it's cover. It evokes enough buzz words to get you in the door: nice building in the middle of Georgetown, near the water, high end bowling alley, creative sounding cocktails, intriguing menu descriptions. It's a trap. The reality is Dave and Busters with a more expensive menu and address. Save your money. read more

I like Pinstripes because it is unique and the experience was memorable. The inside was far more spacious than it looked like from the outside. There are multiple bowling lanes and bocce ball courts. The host appeared to have been bothered when we came through the door for lunch/certainly was unfriendly and then I felt we were forgotten about as we waited over 15 minutes before waitstaff came to see us. I had to go back inside and ask if we were going to get served. Once the waiter finally came the experience became a lot better. We went in for our free Gelatos, for some reason it was taking a lot of time (wink wink!), we ended up ordering some chicken sandwiches as well as the wait was long. However, at the end of my fries, I got down to get some free lemonade as every other patron was doing, for some reason this hostess (African American Hostess working on 7/13/2017) told me something to the line of ordering lemonade instead of drinking a super small cup of free lemonade. I wonder what incensed her so much, that she wanted me to pay for the barely 30 ml of lemonade I would have taken, this after we pretty much ordered a $14 burger each. Love this place! I came here a couple of weeks ago for a Christmas Brunch and it was wonderful. The brunch buffet is $30 per person which also includes all you can drink mimosas. The waffle station and omelet station were my favorite. The staff is very friendly and our waiter Carlos was very attentive and kept our mimosas filled! To make matters worse, I had checked with the front desk multiple times about our status and NEVER was it mentioned that we could not bowl. Wow, just stopped by for the brunch buffet and it was incredible! For about $30 per person you get an endless array of food and all you can drink mimosas. I actually just had coffee because I have stuff to do, but whatever, you can roll however you like. There is even a bloody mary bar, where you can make your own bloody mary. It didn't have booze on it so I guess you have to ask for that. So what do you get on the buffet? It's more like, what don't you get. There was turkey, prime rib, and salmon. Omelets. Waffles. Fruit. Bagels. Lox and all the fixins. Fried chicken. Chicken fingers. Fries. Two types of salads. Oatmeal. Grits. Eggs. Cereals. Toast. I was actually kind of annoyed for a second at how vast this spread was, and then I kicked myself and just ate some more. Because it was awesome. So with all that food you might think the quality would be off. It's not 5-star restaurant quality, but it's really darned good and better than most places I've had brunch in DC. I can't think of a better quality food brunch I've had, whether made to order or not. I would not go here all the time because whoa, that is some heavy food. But it was incredible. I'm going to sleep now because I have a food hangover. Last tip: get there early and enjoy a nice seat out on the patio in good weather. The patio overlooks the canal and has some nice sunlight and a decent amount of seating. The interior seating is ridiculously plentiful, being able to accommodate literally hundreds of guests at one time. The place is huge.
