Shrimp chow mein

This was my 1st time ordering and eating from this place. Shrimp Chow mein no onions. When I received my order from doordash it had plenty of onions I didn't ask for and NO cabbage or bean sprouts which I like.

Thai basil cashew chicken and brown rice bowl

Best customer Service, and cashier was a able to recommend what was the best bowls here , my husband and I got the chicken veggies and brown rice bowl , and he got the Thai basic cashew chicken , they were both so good !! Enjoyed our meals ! Low price , and if you have the app you get a coupon ever so often buy one and get one at 50% off two bowls and a drink was $23 , you have family value packs also under $40 recommend this place

Plate of foods of various item

Foods is really delicious and the employees are really nice and friendly. The environment is really nice and cozy and family oriented place to eat with family and friends. I would totally come back here again

The food is simple okay. Nothing special, which is fine when you just need a quick dinner. What's not okay.. is paying the money and not getting the appropriate portions. I ordered a family meal that comes with 4 items. I was surprised to see the big plate only half full. They use such a giant plate just for show but don't actually fill them up so I'm very annoyed by that. Mongolian beef was really good, so was the teriyaki chicken. I will never purchase their family meal again but maybe their individual plates are better served.

. KUNG PAO CHICKEN

Kung pao

The food wasn't GREAT. It was okay. I haven't been here since the first week it opened and I remember it tasting way better. The noodles are garlicky yet bland. Definitely over priced for the taste. Over all service inside was good. Workers are attentive. Order did take almost 30min to receive *************** Had to update this review, There was a HAIR in my kungpoa chicken plate as i was finishing it stuck in the sauce and chicken at the bottom of the plate. Definitely don't recommend

I recently ate at Yang Chow in Pasadena, so I was pleasantly surprised that my coworkers wanted to…read morego to the original location in Chinatown. We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

I walked into "Woks Deli" like a woman on a mission. I told them straight up, "I am looking for…read moregood Chinese food." No small talk. No flirting. This was a food emergency. Because let me tell you... it has been a **long, long time** since I've had Chinese food that made me believe in love again. Then the food came out. The rice? STICKY...PERFECTLY STICKY!!! Perfect. MOIST, not mushy... just minding its business and being amazing. Like, where have you been all my life? Why did you let me suffer like that? And the sweet and sour pork... listen... crispy on the outside, tender on the inside... it had layers. Emotional layers. I wasn't just eating, I was healing. The Broccoli and beef...game changer. The broccoli had a fresh snap to it mmmm fresh! But what blew me away was the beef, it resembled Wagu meet. So tender so flavorful. I was sitting there, slowly munching my night away, completely unbothered, living my best life like I had just found inner peace... in a takeout container, but better, it was on a plate! At one point I literally thought, "Is this what happiness tastes like?" Because I was in full "Wok Deli" Chinese style. No passport, no jet lag, just vibes. I didn't want to leave. I considered ordering more just to stay longer like, "Don't rush me, I'm having a moment." If you've been out here struggling like I have, eating mediocre Chinese food and pretending it's okay... stop. Go here. Fix your life. 10/10. Came for food, left emotionally fulfilled.

It originally struck me as ordinary, and my expectations weren't high. But my opinion changed when I walked out. The honey walnut shrimp was excellent, and I can't wait to try the other dishes I took home. What struck me most was the fact that the woman serving the food greeted so many people with familiarity and verve. She knew people's orders, habits, attire... And this was all within the short 30 minutes I sat down to dine. It is obviously a regular place for many people. What prompted my review was that, even though yesterday had been the first time I'd been there, she treated ME like I was also a regular, sending me out the door with a stack of almond cookies I didn't order. This place isn't terribly convenient to my regular drives, but I may just become a regular, too.

The servers are always friendly, the food is consistently good, and the prices are very reasonable. I'm really glad they were able to move into a new place--it's well deserved after all these years. New Peking Restaurant is not a new business in Cerritos, nor is it new to restaurants on South St. Formerly located on Bloomfield and South, but because of the closure of the plaza it was originally located at, New Peking relocated to South and Pioneer at the Sprouts plaza. With many Asian restaurants at this plaza, New Peking took over the prior Thai restaurant and now there is a Chinese restaurant to join the variety of Asian flavors. I truly believe that New Peking has made a change for the better compared to what I remember how the food was at their prior location. If part or the relocation was a change in menu choices or a new chef, whatever it was, if there was even a change, things are looking very promising for New Peking Chinese and Korean Restaurant. Service was pretty good as well. I don't know if the word has gotten out yet, but they weren't extremely busy, but including our table, there was another big table celebrating something and the ladies handled it well. Service was great. New Peking might be the new go to for family get togethers because one, they have the space to accommodate large groups and two, they accepted our reservation.
