Just plain wonton wrapper NO FILLING FOR $15 RIDICULOUS RIP OFF

Horrible Rip Off!! I ordered several dishes along with Fried Won Ton-RIP OFF SEE attached video. For $15 dollars I got the noodle wrap that normally is used to make wontons. NO FILLING!! One corner is folded over as if there is a filling but when I opened it there is nothing. The rest of the food was nothing special. This caused me embarrassment because I ordered food for my visitors. If you charge that much be ethical and provide a dish. To the owners: are you that desperate to make money and you rip off patrons?? Never again

The best mongolian beef I have ever had.

I would give this place five stars if there was air conditioning and if they hadn't shrank the portions. Irrespective of these issues, the food is still very good and you will not find better mongolian beef anywhere else. It is so tender and the flavor is perfect, you can taste the garlic in it but it is not too potent. Make sure you go during lunch hours because later on in the day the same dishes will cost you more money. Other items worth trying are the shrimp chop suey, sweet and sour pork, and the house fried rice.

Orange chicken, crispy with a great sauce.

Small place next to Sizzlers. A bit stuffy and hot inside to dine. Food was very good. Vegetable fried rice was flavorful. Egg rolls had a great flavor. Orange chicken was delicious and side note, the only chicken breast offered. Mongolian beef was great although I wish the meat was cooked a bit more. Would definitely go back, maybe try take out! Also, service was great.

My wife's friend recommended this place. He said it was "Really Good, A must try". So why do we do? We tried it. Service was great. Called it in. Gentlemen said 10 minutes. Very friendly mom and pop joint. Has a hole in the wall type feel. There were about three parties dining in and no one else waiting. But there were a few more tables available. Parking lots of it. Up the ying yang. Food was ready a few minutes after we paid. Got home and food was still piping hot. How was it? Already you say? Welllllllllllllllllll. Here is the nitty gritty. House chow Mein. Had beef. Chicken. Shrimp. And lots is brown gravy. But how good was it you say?????? Just OK. Shrimp fried rice. You can tell looks brownish. Lots of shrimp. Unlike some Places that throw 1-2 shrimp in there. But how was it you say?!?!? Just OK. Think they throw that brown gravy on ERRRRRTHANG!!!!! Beef broccoli. Beef was beyond tender. No fat. Juicy and tender beef. Broccoli was over cooked. And as you can see in the pictures THAT DAMN BROWN GRAVY!!!! Yes yes but how was it you say!?!?! Just OK Almond chicken. No idea what the heck that was. Chicken, almonds, celery in a brown sauce. YES !!!! THAT DAMN BROWN GRAVY!!!!!!!' Last the orange chicken. Crispetty chrunchetty hot, just enough ratio of batter to Chicken. How was it!?!! Ok ok well this was probably the best item of all. Was actually better thank ok. Why you ask!?!?! Maybe cause it didn't have THAT DAMN BROWN GRAVY and instead had a tasty orange flavored sweet n sour sauce. Best thing. Well. The egg rolls were also on point. So hot. So juicy. Snd double the size of the normal fast food Chinese food joints. May be willing to return and try other items. Key word is MAY and BE ..... well maybe just orange chicken and egg rolls. Other than that. JUST OK.

I love getting my Chinese fix here. Every time I know I'm going to be driving through this area, I try to order something. Everything I have eaten here has been good. I never had a bad dish. I phone in my order and it's always super hot and ready for me to dig in. A couple of my favorite are: Orange Chicken- I love the sauce and the fried of the chicken. Super yummy. Sweet and Sour Chicken- just like the chicken in the orange chicken but using the sweet and sour sauce instead. I have always been a fan of sweet and sour pork and I think I love this dish even more. The fried chicken and the sauce go so well together. Lately, I have been ordering this dish every time I come here. String bean and ground pork- yummy and not too salty. Chow Mein- I have gotten this dish with chicken or bbq pork. Both were good. I just really like the noodles. Doesn't matter what protein I order I just want the carbs!! Service, super friendly! Overall, I love it here and can't wait to try the other items they have!

We had been going to Hong Kong Chef since 1999. My mother had 2 hip replacement surgeries in 2014 and 2018 so I do not go out to restaurants any more. Does anyone know when Mr and Mrs Lee sold their business?

I ate their about a month ago , she was still there.

Our hands down favorite is the 3 flavor soup. It is awesome for cool weather, really anytime. Mushrooms, celery, broccoli, carrots, shrimp, chicken, and BBQ pork. Not tips and slices, and leftovers-nice sized chunks and pieces. This soup stands alone as a meal on it's own-and is filling. If you look at Pho restaurant prices, the 3 flavor soup is a better deal and a satisfying meal. April 2026 is chilly, get the soup, and be content, and full! If you try it once, I bet you'll have a new favorite. My wife loves it. I order no chow mein in the soup for low carbs. Served HOT. Pretty nice and decent indoor dining area for a takeout place- with marble table tops, and comfy seats, asian style wall images make it nice. Unlike some chinese places, they have a bathrooms for customers-helpful. Cold stone next door makes it a "one Plaza tummy pleaser!"

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

Because let me tell you... it has been a **long, long time** since I've had Chinese food that made me believe in love again. Then the food came out. The rice? STICKY...PERFECTLY STICKY!!! Perfect. MOIST, not mushy... just minding its business and being amazing. Like, where have you been all my life? Why did you let me suffer like that? And the sweet and sour pork... listen... crispy on the outside, tender on the inside... it had layers. Emotional layers. I wasn't just eating, I was healing. The Broccoli and beef...game changer. The broccoli had a fresh snap to it mmmm fresh! But what blew me away was the beef, it resembled Wagu meet. So tender so flavorful. I was sitting there, slowly munching my night away, completely unbothered, living my best life like I had just found inner peace... in a takeout container, but better, it was on a plate! At one point I literally thought, "Is this what happiness tastes like?" Because I was in full "Wok Deli" Chinese style. No passport, no jet lag, just vibes. I didn't want to leave. I considered ordering more just to stay longer like, "Don't rush me, I'm having a moment." If you've been out here struggling like I have, eating mediocre Chinese food and pretending it's okay... stop. Go here. Fix your life. 10/10. Came for food, left emotionally fulfilled.

Pan Fried Noodles with Beef -- classic comfort food done right. Noodles had great wok flavor and weren't overly greasy. Sizzling Bitter Melon Beef -- tender, savory, and super satisfying with rice. New Peking Restaurant is not a new business in Cerritos, nor is it new to restaurants on South St. Formerly located on Bloomfield and South, but because of the closure of the plaza it was originally located at, New Peking relocated to South and Pioneer at the Sprouts plaza. With many Asian restaurants at this plaza, New Peking took over the prior Thai restaurant and now there is a Chinese restaurant to join the variety of Asian flavors. I truly believe that New Peking has made a change for the better compared to what I remember how the food was at their prior location. If part or the relocation was a change in menu choices or a new chef, whatever it was, if there was even a change, things are looking very promising for New Peking Chinese and Korean Restaurant. Service was pretty good as well. I don't know if the word has gotten out yet, but they weren't extremely busy, but including our table, there was another big table celebrating something and the ladies handled it well.
