I ordered the Pad Thai house special, but substituted more noodles in place of the rice, with the additional upcharge. The house special comes with a small salad and vegetarian soup. It's a place you'd want to try out if you're in the mood to hunt around the area for some good Thai food. Ordered the pad Thai with chicken and pad see ew with beef. The pad Thai is just ok. The pad see ew is bad. First they use regular broccoli not Chinese broccoli which I feel did not go well with the dish, and was very disappointing. Second I paid extra for beef, and the beef was so tough I could barely chew it. Also, $3 for two tiny sides of peanut sauce is just crazy. Very bland and dry with nothing to dip them in. How do u forget the sauces on an order over 100 dollars? Orange chicken was dry and tasted old. It was chewy, tough, and very wtf. My pad Thai was average, and I never found the extra chicken I paid for. We don't live anywhere near Downey, and there are better Thai food options between us and them. Lesson learned. I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant! This cozy restaurant has such a great menu and it has delicious dishes. I opted for Chicken Pad See Ew and it was quite honestly some of the best I've had. The portions are great and it was so filling. For my drink, I got a thai tea which you can add boba too but I chose not to. The service here is great and they checked up on us periodically to see if we needed anything. This is the perfect spot to sit in and dine or get a take out order from. For a Sunday, this place was not overwhelming busy but I did see quite a few orders being picked up. Tried out this restaurant for lunch. There's great lunch specials where you pick your main item, and it comes with soup, salad, rice, and fried wonton strips. The soup was a clear broth with vegetables and a small piece of chicken. I also tried their thai tea. Everything was delicious. The service was great and the servers were so nice. I saw on one of those random videos poppin' on Facebook a this really yummy looking crab omelette. That was maybe months ago and thought, should I get the chance to visit that country, one must-do would be to search for a place with that kinda setting making that specific dish. I was a couple of minutes away coming off from a perk when hunger suddenly snuck up on me, so I did a random search for restaurants nearby. This came up and with the great ratings, I decided to check 'em out. I normally go through a restaurant's menu before coming through but I was too hungry to be bothered. Little did I know they had the omelette. They also happen to have angel wings (which is one of the first things I look for in a Thai restaurant) so this was working out really REALLY well! Since I went solo, these two orders were more than enough to settle the hanger pangs. My server was upfront honest and said the omelette would take about 10-15 minutes to make (which was fine) but that she'll get the angel wings started. This gave me the chance to look over their menu. Man, it's extensive. There are plenty of choices to make and although it is pretty much focused on Thai cuisine, there will be something for everyone's taste buds. ANGEL WINGS: One thing they did that I have never seen in any other Thai restaurants (and I've had my share) was that they separated the peanuts from the sauce. The server said she didn't want to assume I wasn't allergic to peanuts, so better safe than sorry. (What an awesome move, eh!?) I'm not at all allergic, so there was no problem putting them together. The wings were a little on the dry side, but seasoned well. The stuffing was generous and the ground pork was commensurate with the noodles. Flavor is elevated with the sweet and sour + peanut dip. Delish. CRAB MEAT OMELETTE: Looks like a plain ole omelette, and then... that first bite. There was no mistaking they used real crab meat for this, it really was delicious! (Okay, I'll admit, a part of me thought they would use imitation... so glad I was mistaken!) They were also generous with the size of this plate, it can easily be shared with another. Had I not had the wings prior to this, I prolly would have cleaned up the plate. Worth the wait, for sure! FOOD: 4.5. Wings weren't deterring but they might wanna workout the dryness part of it. Omelette is a solid 5. SERVICE: 5. Friendly staff. And the whole separating the peanuts just takes the cake... VALUE: 5. Worth every penny I spent. PARKING: Private lot shared with others. Street parking also available. OVERALL: 4.75. There were lots of phoned in (and possibly online) orders getting picked up, so it's safe to assume they're popular. Plenty of Yelpers raved about the pad Thai, so I put an order of that togo. That too, was yum. It's a drive from home, but I come through this area often enough. A couple friends and I came here for dinner on a weekday night, and there were only a few other parties inside. The parking lot is small and one-way as other reviews mentioned; luckily we all found spots since it wasn't too busy, but I can see it becoming a struggle on weekends. I ordered the Drunken Noodles with shrimp, and the combo plate came with rice, salad, and fried wontons. The salad was a bit sad tbh, just a handful of romaine with an opaque white dressing that had a kind of strange flavor and consistency. The main plate came out relatively fast after the salad. My noodles were slightly overcooked imo, they were on the squishier side and were clumping together. The spiciness of the noodles was a bit intense and one-dimensional, I felt that the chili sauce was very spice forward with a lot of chili seeds but didn't really add a whole lot of flavor. It wasn't the worst drunken noodles I've had, but not super great. The rice was well-cooked with a generous portion. My friends both got the pad see ew, one with shrimp and one with tofu. Both dishes were alright, but not spectacular. The noodles were also a bit soggy and the sauce tasted just okay. The broccoli in all of the dishes was a bit yellow as well. I asked a server for the bathroom after we finished eating, and they gave me a key to go through the kitchen's back hallway and around the restaurant back outside. I was given the men's bathroom key since the women's was occupied, and once I opened the door I was hit with a very smelly wave and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. :( I decided to hold it lol. I ordered the barbecue combo through Uber eat and the order was accurate. It was ready for pickup in the estimated time, thats super. Important for me because my lunch break is only 30 minutes. It has a thin slice of barbecue beef, barbecue chicken breast and wing, and barbecue spare ribs with a side of shrimp fried rice. There is only one shrimp on top of the bed of fried rice the rice taste okay. All the meat besides the chicken wing are a little bit chewy.
