Chow mein combination, beef broccoli, spicy seafood soup, steam rice

The food was very delicious! We've always gone to the location in Hollywood but finally they open one close by me! It is small and there has been minor wait times but definitely worth the wait. Food and staff service is great! This location has earned a loyal customer

The 1 star is for the food. The pad Thai tasted super gross. It was mushy and...orange (like the orange shorbet color.). Chicken was sliced thin and overcooked, dry and chewy. I never seen a pad Thai that looks so artificial like that. The flavor was bland. It was served on a tiny plate or maybe the portion is big...it doesn't leave much space for mixing the bean sprouts. The restaurant set up is decent/clean but what the point if the food is not good? First time and last time going to this place. If you can't make a decent pad Thai....skeptical how other items will taste like.

Tried this spot on a sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy, but we got a table right away. The place itself was nice and it was great that it's in a lot with lots of parking. The plates are pretty good portions, and the prices are pretty typical. The papaya salad was crunchy and had great flavor. The pad see ew was ok, for me it lacked a bit of flavor. The BBQ beef was a bit tough, but the dipping sauce really made the dish even better. The ambiance is pretty casual and service is great. Very attentive and helpful employees.

Here at this location 2nd time around. Unfortunately they did not have pad see ew at the time we ordered & the young man did not say why. We ordered shrimp pad Thai, shrimp fried rice, steam rice, spicy seafood soup & chicken satay appetizer. This time around they took quite a while to bring our soup out & we received it last. That should always be out 1st! Also, asked for our hot tea to go & he gave us a plastic cup (‍) uh okaaay it's not going to melt the plastic & burn us but, brought it to his attention & he was confused, he exchanged it for a soup container to go ‍(little better) service was 4/10 this time around.

I have been waiting for a Thai restaurant to open in this area and when I saw they were finally open I was excited to try ASAP! I went on a Weds night for dinner and was seated immediately. The menu was large with images of certain items so that was helpful to get a visualization of items you may not have had or heard of. - Pad Thai (not ayutthaya) was SPICY! I ordered it with fried tofu. Tofu was delicious- soft in the center and crispy edges. - Squid Salad not quite sour enough so I asked for more lime which did the trick. The squid was tender and not over cooked, paired well with the red onions and cilantro and mushrooms. - BBQ Beef had a nice smokey flavor, beef was a bit over cooked. The chili sauce that came as a dipping sauce was spicy, sour and delicious! - Pineapple Fried Rice was meh to me. Reminded me of a Chinese style fried rice with Chinese sausage. Large chunks of pineapple but felt like it was missing cashews and raisins . Maybe I am used to it being cooked differently. Service was really good, loved the condiments (spicy vinegar, fish sauce and was able to try the chili oil). Beer is on the menu but they didn't have any at the time, not sure if it's because they haven't gotten their liquor licenses? Parking can be a bit difficult since the parking lot is small and tight but there is plenty of street parking.

Look at those vegetables they were going bad already and still put them on a dish. Disgusting

So far the worst Thai food I've ever eaten. ITS BAD BAD BAD. I stopped by on my way to work to buy lunch and I'm totally disappointed. I got a soup, some noodles and a side of white rice. Let me tell you the only item that wasn't bad was the steamed rice. The soup was missing that herbal flavor characteristic of the Thai food and the noodles are the worst. Way overcooked and no flavor at old, not even enough salt/soy sauce to get the right salty flavor and let's not talk about the shrimp, is tastes like NO FLAVOR AT ALL and the whole dish smells like raw seafood. Totally disgusting . Only reason why I didn't go back and return it it's cuz I was late for work. Who tf told this people they cook good enough to sell it. THE WORSE MEAL EVER. So disgusted, disappointed and a total waste of my $47.62 dollars. Vim Thai Restaurant do the right thing and give me my money back.

Ordered the combination Pad see ew. There were only two shrimp in the whole dish which is supposed to be a family style serving. Very little of the beef and chicken as well, it was mostly all noodles. Also I'm not sure why they only put the broccoli stems and not the heads? For the price they charge $18 plus tax not worth it. Paying $20 for noodles basically.

So glad this location opened up. It's a lot closer to home and the food always hits. The spicy seafood soup is a must try! Service was quick and attentive. This location is smaller, BUT is a lot more upgraded compared to the other two. Not to mention they accept card! Hollywood location only accepts cash.

He comped us a few things. Not to be missed are two of the desserts: Thai Coffee Crème Brulée and their killer, house-made coconut ice cream. They looked so simple, but they tasted like they had no business being that good. I should've ordered a whole tray and called it a day. For my main dish, I got the basil eggplant and orange tofu with their bomb brown rice. The flavors were so on point I briefly considered standing up and giving the chef a slow clap. Truly restrained myself. Then came the mango sticky rice... and listen, I should've taken a picture because it came out looking like it was ready for a magazine cover. The purple rice they used? Gorgeous. And honestly, I liked it way more than the usual white sticky rice. It felt fancy! On top of all that, the waiter/waitress who helped us was genuinely one of the sweetest and most attentive people I've met in a long time. Their kindness made the whole experience even better. Overall, Green Leaf Thai did not miss. Amazing food, amazing service--I'll be recommending this place to family and friends for sure.

The dish is consistently packed with lots of protein, spice, and savory goodness! The noodles are always perfectly well-coated and cooked in the delicious umami sauce. I moved to the SGV a little over a year ago and I have been sorely disappointed by offerings this nook of LA county has to offer *ahem banana bay*. I found myself driving to the SFV or Thai Town whenever I was too lazy to cook Thai food on my own. I decided to take a gamble with this restaurant and I am so very glad that I did. It's so good and authentic that I have come out of yelp retirement (Yelp Elite 2016-2020) to leave this review. I ordered four things as take out: Issan Sausage, Pad Kra Pow Minced Chicken, Spicy Fried Crispy Cat Fish, and Drunken Noodles. I was told that they were out of the Kra Pow Century Egg and stewed pork leg over rice. Hopefully, I'll get to try it next time! Issan Sausage: Good portions. Flavor is very good, a little sour, a little salty, and a hint of sweetness. I think the flavors could be a bit more bold with the sour but overall the flavors profile is as it should be. Frying it also added a nice crispiness to it. Spicy Fried crispy Catfish: Flavors were really good. Sweet foods is typically not usually in my flavor profile, but this is one of the few sweet entrees I actually like. Catfish can be a bit more fried but that is moreso a preference on my part. Drunken Noodle Beef: Good char on the noodles. Flavor was really good as well. Not that much beef but the star of the show are the noodles. I was a tad confused on the egg in my drunken noodle but to each their own. I would probably order it without the egg next time because it does change the texture a bit. Pad Kra Pow Minced Chicken: Now here's where it gets interesting! Tantawan actually uses holy basil (Kra Pow). It's harder to find but it has a very distinct flavor that Thai-American cuisine has for the most part substituted due to scarcity with Thai Basil (Horapha). I don't think you can get more authentic than actually using the right herb. Funnily enough, I think it can throw off people that have never had authentic Kra Pow as my partner said it tasted herbally. Thai food can be very hit and miss even among the Thai community as we all have different preferences when it comes to the holy trinity of sweet, salty, and sour. I am personally on the spectrum of sweet should be hinted at and never the forward flavor. Tantawan with the dishes I ordered definitely held to my flavor profile. Very well cooked and good flavor profile. I didn't have to add any seasoning as everything was cooked just right. I called my take out in and they said it would be ready in 20 and it was when I arrived. Even as the food sat in my passenger seat as I drove home I could tell from the smell emanating from the take-out bag that the food was going to be good. Quick and courteous service!
