The only complaint I have is the air conditioning wasn't turned on and it was uncomfortably hot inside and the front door was closed with a screen to keep out flying insects. This is an underrated hole jn a wall Chinese restaurant. Quality is actually pretty amazing here. Everytime we go here it's always good and portions size are huge. Great pricing as well, only thing to watch out for is that they only serve bottle water. The owner is really nice and will answer any questions you may have. What a wonderful surprise! We were in the area and in the mood for some Chinese food. After a quick search, this local gem showed up with a good score, so we gave it a try. We're grateful we made the decision to drop in. The dining area is small and quaint. There's an old school vibe with furniture that is focused on getting you to sit down and order. We started with an order of wonton soup and quickly thereafter we made our move onto the orange chicken, moo goo gai pan and kung pao three delights. Everything was delicious and fresh. We also ordered steamed rice for the table which should be a must with every order. Server was friendly and fairly attentive. She was working both the front of the house and serving the table. Oh goodness gracious I'm so challenged with writing this review. I've been a regular at Fu Plus since I moved into the community. During covid it was one of the few restaurants that was consistent. The food was always prepared and hot, the people and service are very warm and welcoming. I don't know what happened. Maybe the cook changed because every item in our last order had a problem. The curry chicken was light yellow and watery, the sweet and sour shrimp was so breading and minimal sauce and the worst dish of all was the garlic chicken. The chicken was overcooked and looked like it had an ashy dust on it , the alleged green onions and jalapeños were old, brown and looked like leftovers and one piece wasn't even recognizable and certainly was not a wing. So good! I'm always hesitant to order chow fun on delivery because it always comes super soggy and mushy. Same with fried rice. HOWEVER,. Today I ordered combination chow fun and veggie fried rice and both were absolutely freaking amazing even after being delivered. The chow fun still had a bite to the noodles.
