The lunch deal here is extremely worth it! For like $11, they give you rice and reasonable amount of protein. The rolls are also good. I liked the sushi taco the most. It's crispy taco but the wrap was crispy seaweed and inside was fresh tuna and salmon! Great adaptation to SoCal. It's super delicious and affordable.

Food was too good to even wait to take a photo of it

As much as I want to gatekeep this place, I'm sharing because they deserve all the love and attention. First off, I love the theme of One Piece throughout the restaurant, helps me feel like I'm with my people! You're immediately greeted when you walk in and it was empty when we came in (Saturday around 4:30), but as we sat and ate, while watching Star Wars being played on their TV, more people came in. They all seemed to have a relationship already built with them, which was really nice to see because that means they have built trust within their community. Okay, on to the important stuff, THE FOOD. I got the Yellowtail Carpaccio and The Vinsmoke Roll while my boyfriend got the Tempura Udon and Baby Lobster Roll. Everything was a 10/10, no notes, and I kid you not, I actually shed a tear from how good the food was. You could tell everything was fresh and well prepared. Definitely my new favorite sushi spot! Sorry, we were hungry and the food was wayyyy too good for us to take a photo of the before

Just discovered this place!! Omg this is our go to sushi spot AMAZING!!!!! Never going anywhere else in bellflower

This place is a small little local restaurant in Bellflower. I was looking for good quality sushi and I highly recommend visiting if you want simply, fresh sushi. I think the carpaccio selection is what makes this sushi place different than other casual sushi places around. The yellowtail carpaccio is fresh and has flavorful sauce. I also ordered the Luffy Special which came with 5 nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. The actual rolls and nigiri are comparable to other mid-tier sushi places around. The nigiri kind of fell apart when holding it with chopsticks. Nothing really stood out, but it's still good. If anything, I recommend the carpaccio over anything else.

I always enjoy eating at smaller establishments especially when the food is delicious and yes, you can add Daru Sushi to that list. This is a very intimate location with seating for approx 20 people but the food quality and variety can go toe to toe with much larger sushi restaurants. Today we went a variety of items including spicy garlic edamame, seared tuna, salmon carpaccio, and volcano roll to name a few. All items were very good and the fish all tasted fresh. As a bonus, Thursdays are buy one beer get one for $1!! You can also find different specials every day that may or may not be on the regular menu. Overall, chill ambiance, good food, but if they're busy you can wait a while for your food to come out. But hey if it's good food, then I don't mind. Prices are very competitive so come on out and give this place a try!!

Came with some friends to try this place. I would have never known about this place if it wasn't for my friend since I've probably driven past it and never known.. this is a cute little spot with awesome and friendly staff.. Once you walk in we were welcomed by staff.. we got the scallop roll, salmon carpaccio, tuna poke bowl, tiger roll and Causky roll which was their special at the time. Food was delicious all around.. Will definitely come back.

    Epic sushi goodness!

We love Daru Sushi! My colleague and I go at least once a week and it is the best sushi spot in the area! Sam and Scott are the absolute best at what they do. The service and food are always on point!

Nice local sushi joint. Located on a busy street with parking on the sides, very clean and bright interior. They offer a great bento box lunch special and they are very generous with their protein! We also ordered the sushi taco which is real nori coated in tempura as the taco shell. My recommendation -- get the spicy sushi taco!

This is a pretty good small "hole in the wall" sushi place in Bellflower. Not the best you'll fine but for the price point, it's not bad. The place is not that big and not meant for big parties. Parking can be a little tricky as they have a small lot for 3 cars to the right of the restaurant and some spots to the left next to the liquor store. As for the food: garlic edamame was a great way to start things off. The mixed tempura was surprisingly very good. The batter was light and not too oily. The other appetizers like the popcorn chicken and calamari rings were okay. The octopus and yellowtail carpaccios were on-point and very good. The tonkotsu ramen wasn't bad but they only give you thicker piece of chashu. I ordered a second side piece of meat. It does come with a full egg and the broth was good, not too heavy and the noodles were done just right. As for the rolls, they're decent...a little on the narrow side but had a good amount of fish and ingredients in each roll. Service was friendly and attentive. If you're in the area and looking for a reasonably priced Japanese sushi place that won't break the bank, I'd stop by again.

Inside decor, I'm right up against the entrance door.

I would say this gives a good feel for small sushi spots. And when I say "small" I mean tiny. 8 tables TOPS. It's tucked in on Clark right behind the Southeast shopping center and the parking can be tricky. I think they should add a little takeout/pick up window so that the sit down patrons won't be constantly interrupted in such small quarters. Anywho, the rolls were pretty good. I went real basic B with a crunch roll and dragon roll. Eel was perfectly seared. Very good portion and I loved that they added the eel sauce on the side since it was a Togo order. The servers/cashiers were efficient and acknowledging. I added an order of tempura veggies when I got there and did not have to wait too long. The tempura was perfect and they had my favorite in the assortment (squash, carrot and onion) They also have some nifty anime decor. I remember going here when they just opened (quite a while ago and I don't think it was named the same) but the rolls were gigantic back then. I wish they still had them that way because it distinguished them from other sushi spots. Now it's just another sushi spot. I'll need to try some other rolls, they are reasonably priced too.

Is there all you can eat sushi? If there is how much does it cost?

Hello, C.J.! Sorry but we are NOT an AYCE. Thank you :)

    Do you have sushi platters?

Sorry, we do not have sushi platters.

Do you by any chance have a nutrition facts menu?

We apologize but we do not have a nutrition facts menu.

Is there a menu online for the rolls? I don't see one.

Yes, the most recent menu is available in the Main Photo section. It's the very first one there.

    Did this place close down?

No, we are open and actively running under new ownership. However, if you came during our break hours, the restaurant will be empty, as all our employees will be gone to take a break. Please check our business hours. Thank you.

    Is this an AYCE sushi?

I don't think it is, I haven't seen it posted on the menu or on the wall menu. However, it is good food and the portions are good size and the price is reasonable, i do recommend it.

Is it possible to get anything without rice? I really want that mini lobster roll or even just the spicy crab with no rice but still wrapped in seaweed.

    Yes they can

Went inside and was immediately seated. They have a lunch special where you get either a free drink or miso soup with your meal. I ended up ordering the black garlic tonkatsu ramen and added an egg, with a miso soup. The miso soup came fairly quickly, but was pretty salty - think I had to drink about half my water glass after it. The ramen came a little bit afterwards - the broth was ok, it didn't feel rich enough with pork flavor and also was a little salty. The noodles were just ok also. I think the best part was the egg and chashu. The egg was well made and tasty, while the chashu is a bit more on the meaty side vs fatty side (which I prefer). They do only give you two pieces though. The price overall wasn't bad for ramen but I think the saltiness was a bit too much for my taste. They do have other things like curry that look pretty good, perhaps that would be the order if I end up here again.

I had this spot on my bookmarks for years, so I am glad to finally be able to stop by here. The process was a bit confusing when I first walked in, as there were no employees at the front counter - 2 of them were busy in the back cooking, eating, and talking and the other one was focused on making more boba and the trash, I guess. I did a walkthrough to look at everything, then I came back to the front counter and noticed the signages on the side wall about purchasing a cup first, then adding toppings and filling up your drink, then coming back to the front counter to get your drink sealed by an employee. I waited in line patiently, as the employees were all in the back doing various things, and the guy who was bringing out the boba and changing the trash finally came out. I noted that he was wearing the same gloves he did while taking out the trash and started to ring customers in front of me up and help seal finished boba cups wearing those same dirty gloves. I was disgusted, but since I drove a long way for this spot, I decided to stay, as he is only touching the outside of the cup anyway, and I will just wipe it down later. Anyway, I bought a cup and filled it with some ice, my favorite milk tea - jasmine milk tea, and boba. I do wished that they had a couple other toppings I liked though. I was ready to have my drink sealed and waited patiently for the employee to seal it. Overall, it was a good concept they have going on and it is one of those one time experiences at least for me, but they have to work on their cleanliness because there were 2 employees in the back cooking food for customers while eating themselves while cooking in front of it and the other employee wearing the same gloves doing everything, even when changing / touching the trash.
