Came here based on yelp recommendations and I was glad I did. We ordered the truffle pasta, pesto pasta, mushrooms pasta, bresola pizza, salmon calzone, a bresola appetizer and truffle and artichoke bruschetta. The best dish was the truffle pasta. It was so good! I have to go back and have it again. The truffle and artichoke bruschetta was good too. The pizza was good and the calzone was filled with cheese delicious! The handmade pasta was really good. The prices are good for the value of food. It can get busy but it's worth the wait. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME (OR PRECIOUS ITALIAN MEALS) HERE! Not only is the service terrible and incredibly slow (even by Italian standards), but the food was awful and tasted like a microwave dinner. It took almost 1 hour to even get our appetizer and had to ask the waiter twice to get it. (1 overpriced small piece of bruschetta) When we finally got our TINY overpriced meals, they were flavorless! $13 for 7 bland ravioli with no sauce could have been better spent at the Italian McDonald's. The people who have reviewed this place must be insane or don't know good Italian food. Even the girl next to us was disappointed in her food. To top it off, the manager and waiter were both slicing bread without washing their hands or without wearing gloves. I saw the manager cough into his hands, wipe the sweat off of his forehead, take money, and then serve people bread without washing his hands. It was disgusting and I would NEVER RECOMMEND this place to ANYONE!!! The best thing was the bottled water. That was nice and cold. Bottom line, this place SUCKS! read more

we got really lucky with this place, we were hungry for lunch and just looked up what was highest rated on trip advisor that was nearby. the pasta was pretty good, but the real deal here is the pizza. my wife says it was the best pizza she's ever had, we got the marinara with garlic, and it was just perfectly seasoned and cooked. the crust was slightly crispy but doughy, which is so hard to find in LA. most of the big time places like Pizza Mozza give you a really crispy crust, this was like a better version of what Bestia does. can't recommend enough, don't get one of the pizzas with a bunch of stuff on it, stick with the marinara and just enjoy the perfect ingrediants. its small and service is slow, but its worth it. read more

This place was by far the best restaurant we went to during the 3 nights we were in Rome. We had the marguerite pizza which was a thin wood fired pizza that came super quick. The garlic & oil toasted bread was amazing! The rigatoni carbonara was al dente perfectly and the bacon was crisp. The super salad was very tasty even if the dressing was just olive oil. They don't charge a service or table fee like most restaurants in Rome. They accepted our credit card just fine! The service was there when we needed it and the wait staff was very pleasant! I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the Trevi fountain area! Restaurant was a little small but we went when they opened at 6pm and were seated just fine. We stopped by around 3pm and asked for a reservation for 6 at 6pm. The guy at the door confirmed but didn't ask us for a name (maybe that's just in the US?). But when we returned at 6, they had a table set up for 6! read more

I saw there was a 1 star review but all it talks about is the credit card policy which is pretty silly. The food was amazing. I got a margherita pizza with bufalo mozzarella and my girlfriend got a prosciutto pizza with mozzarella. We also tried the bufalo caprese appetizer and the prosciutto and bufalo appetizer. The bufalo is so extremely good, it is super creamy and it has the perfect texture with just the right amount of salt. After that we moved on to the pizza where either of our pizzas would probably have been my favorite pizza ever. The dough is crispy with just the right amount of chewiness, the sauce is subtle and creamy which for marinara I had no clue was possible, and the cheese of course was amazing. This place may be the most mismanaged restaurant in Rome's nearly-3000-year history. I include the chef that prepared Emperor Claudius' final plate of mushrooms in 54 AD in this assessment. After a local recommended the place as having "excellent pizza," I decided to try it out at 1pm on a Sunday. There was already a line of eight people, so I decided to wait. When I became the fifth person in line fifteen minutes later, it began to lightly rain. When I became the third person in line after approximately thirty minutes in line, it began to hail. Given the choice between being hailed to death or waiting under an awning for pizza of an unknown quality, I chose the latter. I then spent the next thirty minutes waiting in the shop's stoop, like some Dickensian urchin as the store owners locked the front doors and allowed existing customers to sit at tables without ordering to wait out the storm. The line for this purportedly "excellent pizza" grew so long that an angry Asian shop owner two stores down pushed me into the hail to yell at the owners. Rather than move their existing customers who were literally taking up space indoors and taking in new customers, the store owner went to the other shop to argue with that owner. When I eventually was let indoors, things did not get better. The shop appears to be run by two brothers, not unlike Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome themselves (had the she-wolf Lupa not saved them with her teat-milk and left them to grow up ill-formed and hapless homunculi). The one brother--tall and lanky--previously described as abandoning the shop to argue with his Asian neighbor--clearly displayed the martial attitude of Romulus, down to the hipster apron with leather straps. Remus was the waiter. While the first was oblivious, the second was passice-aggressive (always a great quality in a waiter). Everything I ordered (wine, an appetizer, a pizza) was a burden. The pizza itself was hardly "excellent." The crust was three inches high by an inch thick--If the Romans had similar fortifications in 476 AD, Alaric would never have sacked the city and ended the Empire. Working your way through the doughy wall, the actual pizza itself was a marsh of ingredients approximately 4mm thick. I have never consensually used the Metric system before that last sentence, but there is no smaller unit of measurement in my vocabulary (having slept through most of high school chemistry). I'm not sure whether they have never cooked pizza before or just steamed it, but it was more soup than pizza. The last straw for Remus was when I ordered an espresso. It was though I had asked him to help me move. Should you find yourself walking down this street, just go a block up to the Hosteria Gasperone. Went here for dinner, place had great reviews. We got her around 9:30pm wanted to try their pizza and pasta. There was 6 people online ahead of us but 2-3 empty tables inside. Staff wasn't in a rush to seat people. Approx. 20 mins later 2 tables leave and the guy comes out and takes a couple. The time is 10:10 now and the place closes as 11pm. Another couple joins the line and the guy comes out and says that's it you 6 are our last customers. So we finally get seated after 45 mins of waiting. ( I wanted to leave but we were line committed). We sit down at 10:15 and attempted to order right away. The waiter then told us that the kitchen just closed and they are only serving pizza, no pasta. And we were like what? How do they do that? So my significant other was upset but we ordered pizza.
