    7 euros for 4 slices

Great little tiny place. Get in line, order your pizza, find a spot on the wall to eat or get it to go. Don't be shy or others will pass you by for their pizza and a spot to eat it. Super delicious and cheap quick bite.

Small and quaint, small seating area- name on the door that remains open during biz hours so keep a close eye out or you'll walk by. Grabbed a few diff slices of pizza and an Ice tea to go and walked down the block to a fountain to enjoy the pizza and our first taste of Rome after a long travel day! We had pizza with anchovies, margarita and mushroom. While I wish I could remember what I liked best the jetlag for the best of me. The prices were great I do remember and I'd go back again, grab some slices and go sit at the fountain to enjoy! There's a small gelato spot right next to the fountain for you to grab some dessert afterwards.

We had our first meal here in Rome. The pizza was quite delicious. The pizza crust was very light and had an airy texture. A pizza slice is 3.50 Euro and it was a great price! The owner was very friendly and helpful with the pizza recommendations. We'll come back here again whenever we return to Rome.

We got 3 slices good price. The best tasting one by far was the basic tomao sauce. Light but also very tasty.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Food was good: warm and fresh. The focaccia was warm, fluffy, and crunchy. A good balance. I am trying to remember if there was a menu, but we just pointed at the different pizzas that we wanted. My partner and I picked two pizzas, and decided to ask the waiter for a recommendation. He pointed to one with purple cabbage and prosciutto. Personally I was not fond of this one as it had a bitter taste. The cabbage gave a more moist texture than the other two pizzas we ordered, which was very different. However, it was a favorite for my partner. It was one of his favorite pizzas he had here due to how unique it was. The other two pizzas we had here was good. The best part of this place was that it was to-go! Hard to come across in rome.

Wanted a late night snack and what better option than pizza. We got the caprese and porcini mushrooms. Cheap, affordable, good vibes, lots of antique stores nearby.

Although the staff seemed annoyed with us being there, it didn't take away from the amazing pizza. One of our favorite stops in Rome

Mushroom, margherita, potato. 7 euros for the pizza.

A very small shop off the beaten path but well worth the adventure in finding this place. Cash only and like all pizza in Rome, you pay based on weight. There were a ton of locals lined up so we got in line and followed their lead. My husband and I shared the potato pizza, the margherita pizza and the mushroom pizza. The best bite we had was the margherita but the mushroom came in at a close second. We shared 3 pieces and 2 cokes for 12 euros. The places seats a very limited amount of people and we luckily scored two chairs near the front. Crispy, thin, delectable Roman pizza. A must try if you're in the area.

We stayed near the Colosseum for our trip, and we had to try Roman pizza. We found this small, hole-in-the wall place and it surprised us in the best way possible. We would rate the pizza here a solid 5/5! The pizza was VERY FRESH, and they warm up your pizza for you when they slice it to your desire. The crust is nice and crispy, and personally I love a crispy and thin crust. Overall a solid place, and I wished we went back before we left Rome!

BEST PIZZA IN ROME. Quick easy mom and pop shop for pizza. Quick service. I am on a tour coming from the United States. Not crowded small and no tourists.

A small restaurant with excellent food. Has outside seating. Prices are very reasonable. To me, represents a small Italian restaurant that the locals would like.

Front door: your gateway to inexpensive, delicious, cracker-crust pizza. Huge variety, all excellent.

Being a person who can take or leave pizza and who fails to comprehend the hype, La Boccaccio proved that I'd just never before had the right pizza. What's the right pizza? The kind that sings to your heart, apparently. When I first spotted La Boccaccio there was a short line snaking out the door. Understandable, since the place seats only about 6 people total and is mostly a to-go venue of already prepared pizzas. When I passed by again the line was gone and I walked in, praying that the pizza wouldn't be lukewarm. Lukewarm pizza was a trend in Italy, for pizzas not made to order. Point at your choice and the woman behind the counter will hover her cleaver above it, raising her eyebrows towards you as you indicate exactly the portion size you'ld like. Pizza here is sold by the weight and it's cheap. It's also placed in the pizza oven for a reheat once you select your piece; no lukewarm pizza here. Upon first visit I knew I'd found my pizza. I've had plenty of cracker-crust thin pizza before but this version just sang to me: A little salty, a bit crunchy, and nicely topped. I finally understood the hype. A couple of days later I was back for a little nosh (zucchini blossom pizza, excellent) and later that day, back again. 3 visits, 2 in one day, and my son refused to let me go back a third time on the day before departure. If the allure of pizza remains a mystery to you, La Boccaccio might just solve it. Great stuff, and one thing I really miss now that I'm no longer in Rome.

The slices are delicious, we tried many pizza places in Rome and this was definitely one of our two favorite spots! $2.50 per slice (which is a good size) and a really nice area around the place too, if you prefer to take to go! P.S. the margarita was my favorite and I can't remember what the other one was called but it had sausage & peppers and tasted amazing!

A yummy thing happened on the way to the Colosseum …read more.. Pane & Vino is a tiny sandwich shop near il Colosseo that specializes in local porchetta (stuffed pork loin) and is run by the friendliest owner of all time. He gets to know every customer on a first name basis. I'd go back more to see him than to have a sandwich. Seriously, he's pretty awesome. The menu is simple and focused on sandwiches featuring their famous porchetta so we tried two recommendations from the peppy proprietor. While waiting, I got a miniature bottle of Chardonnay and my spouse sipped a Coke Zero. The Traiano Porchetta sandwich (12€ - 4 stars) is an original creation of the out-going owner with a mighty Mustard-flavored blend of Roast Pork, Sun-dried Tomatoes, and Grilled Eggplant. I like mustard and, therefore, liked this specialty much more than my wife, but we ended up ignoring portions of the so-so bun. Pane & Vino Special Porchetta (12€ - 4 stars) was a huge sandwich with the sliced Roast Pork Porchetta plus Mozzarella Cheese, Grilled Eggplant, Grilled Peppers, Mushrooms, Lettuce, and Mayo on classic Italian Pane. It needed more mayonnaise or a sprinkle of balsamic and olive oil for my tastes, but there was no denying it was a hearty hero. There are lots of pane bread and sandwich shops in Rome, but there is only one -- Pane & Vino -- run by the most welcoming of owners ever. If I'm in the neighborhood again, I'll be sure to stop in for a casual chat and some yummy porchetta sandwiches on the way to the Colosseum.

The cheese was creamy and delicious, and the vegan bacon was crunchy with the perfect texture - just like real bacon. The owner stated that it was made from pea protein, which I also would never have guessed. PRO TIP: The they close the kitchen between lunch and dinner (at 3:30) so be sure to get there earlier for full access to the menu. Even though I arrived late, the waiter asked the kitchen to make me carbonara, and I'm so glad they did! I will definitely be coming back here again to try their other vegan dishes. The bruschetta was also phenomenal. The tomatoes are so much sweeter and the olive oil so smooth, much better than in the U.S. And of course, I can't forget the noodles - perfectly al dente and fresh. I feel so spoiled when I eat pasta in Italy!

Searching for a place to eat, this place caught my eye for its good reviews on Gmaps and optimistic take on Roman classics turned plant-based. On a Friday around 1pm, right after we sat down, the restaurant sudden filled up with additional customers to about three-quarters full. Approximately two dozen seats inside and another dozen street side tables outside. Inside it's got a mom and pop traditional restaurant feel--a handful of two and four tops, a drinks fridge/wine chiller, a small corner bar, with medium-toned wooden tables and chairs. We checked in with the staff inside and they gave us the option to sit in or outside, we chose outdoors. Menus are scanned via QR code and if I recall correctly they have mostly Italian with some English. We ordered: - seasonal artichoke and vegan bacon pizza €16: first of all, the scale isn't obvious from my photo--it was a 12 inch pizza, for an individual pie--HUGE! Glad I saw the table over receiving their pizza first so I didn't make the big mistake of ordering more than one. Flavor--the artichoke, cheese and crust were a great combo, and the plant-based cheese stood out as one of the most strikingly similar cheesy textures out there. The bacon was visually and texturally dissimilar to the real thing, it looked dry though wasn't, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't bacon. At least they hit one out of two on this pizza. It was a satisfying pie. - ratatouille €6: which ended up being sautéed beans, peas and asparagus. If there is one thing I noticed eating at a few different Italian restaurants in Italy--they overcook their vegetables, and this was on trend, a tad over, though still edible. The flavor was good but needed to tone down the salt a notch. Food arrived in about 15 minutes, the pizza was hot and crisp at the crust. Staff was friendly and checked in once during the meal. Cash and card accepted. Bathroom available though I didn't use it to comment.
