I wanted to try Roman pinsa to see how it differed from traditional pizza, and we found this spot nearby while waiting in line for the Vatican. The inside is small and they have one row of counter seats. We ordered a variety of pinsas so we could try some different options. They're served cut in 4 slices, and the portion is perfect if not a bit too much for one person. We tried the eggplant, salami, proscuitto, special, and bacon onion ones - amongst all of them, my favorites were the special and bacon onion. The pinsa itself was interesting as the crust had an airier but kind of dry texture, with a more crumbly crust. I think I still prefer traditional pizza, but this was worth trying! The man working behind the counter was also super friendly.

"Street" carbonara and "street" amatriciana - both delicious!

Food prices, service, and flavor were all too notch! 10/10 reccomend this hole in the wall shop for some quick and fresh pizza!

Pizza was bomb! Until we were told by the chef to move to the corner.

Pizza was bomb! Until we were told by the chef to move to the corner. "Why?"We asked ourselves. "Were we taking up too much space?" No. As minorities, we weren't the type of customers the chef wanted in his establishment. Not a nice feeling.

Great spot to eat some street pizza if you're near the Vatican! The worker was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating for our large party of 7. They have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from, and it is fast, hot and fresh once you order. All the pizzas we got were fantastic, and they left us full and satisfied, not bloated or heavy. Definitely recommend and would eat here again!

    Pizzas are a good size.

This pizza is awesome! It is family-owned and it actually has A/C inside. The pizza's were out quick and were delicious. My son ordered the Amatriciana and I ordered the Diavola. Both were excellent. Clise to the vatican as well. Definitely recommend!

Freshly made and delicious pizza. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean. I loved the perfectly chewy and crispy crust and the delicious tomato sauce they used. They have vegan and vegetarian options as well!

4.5 stars The Pinsa Romana is a Roman-style flatbread made of a dough containing rice and soy flours fermented between 48 to 72 hours. This creates a "pizza" that's light, thin, crispy, and known for being easily digested. The casual neighborhood restaurant Pinsa 'Mpo offered both a red (Rosse) and white (Bianche) version (with and without tomato sauce, respectively), and we got to try one of both. The Arrabbiata came with a simple topping of tomato sauce, cherry tomatoes, garlic, parsley, and red chili flakes, which gave the Pinsa a nice spicy flavor. The Zucca & Porcini came with slices of zucchini, chopped porcini mushrooms, Buffalo mozzarella, and parsley. The toppings on this Pinsa were simple as well, but the earthy, delicate flavors of the zucchini and porcini mushrooms really came out, pairing nicely with the creamy melted mozzarella cheese. Overall, Pinsa 'Mpo was a great stop to try this Roman snack, and the service was super friendly and enthusiastic too!

Super friendly service and delicious pizza after a day of shoulder to shoulder touring. A couple tables to eat outside and a short, convenient walk from the Vatican. The crust is crispy and topping combinations tasty / recommend stopping by for lunch!

Salami and cheese the salami had the perfect amount of spice.

Best pizza we have found so far in Rome!! Perfect lunch after our tour of the Vatican

Located just steps away from the Vatican City, this place is a tiny little spot that offered satisfying food at good prices AND offered friendly service to boot! When you first walk in you see a couple of dozen different personal size pizzas prepped with different combo toppings under a large glass protected area. You simply pick the ones you want and they scoop it up with the peel and cook it in the oven for you in just a few minutes! Nice, thick, and doughy crust with plenty of toppings. I had sausage, pepperoni, and ham on mine. Very hot, fresh, and tasty! Plenty of options for drinks including bottled water, soda, and beer. Prices are a little high on the drinks, but that seems to be the norm in these places out here. Two things that stood out about this place when comparing it to other places I ate at during my time in Rome: a) the food was scrumptious and the portion was satisfying and here's the big one... b) they were nice! Yup, actually friendly and personable! Go figure! :P I just wish this place was closer to our hotel. We would have definitely come back for more! 4 stars.

    Delicious pepperoni pizza!

This was a pretty good spot. Seating is limited, but they have a couple of tables right outside the door. If you are in the area, it was our favorite quick pizza spot. Service was great and we hit this spot several times while in this part of Rome!

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem.
