I was in the area to meet up with my friends for dinner. I had arrived about 30 minutes early, so I decided to get some coffee at the McDonald's that was right around the corner. This particular McDonald's was just west of the Ottaviano Metro station. I used a kiosk and ordered a cappuccino for 1,30€. Apparently for Italians, it was very strange to be drinking one after 11 am. I'm sure with this touristy location, the employees were used to such odd behavior. This is just another of the many McDonald's across the world. This one is always very busy as it's at the border of Italy and Vatican City. Prices aren't very inflated and you'll find a lot of fun menu options if you're an American. The service moves quickly but expect to have trouble finding a seat. The entry doors all have steps so you'll need to lift in any wheelchairs or strollers if you want them inside. read more

It's in the middle of one of the most populated tourist areas in the world. They have plenty of seating, and the air-conditioning is cool. The food was up to McDonald's standards, and the whole restaurant was clean. Bring some euros for the toilet. read more

Because were in a very touristy area where the food is not good and over prices so I just rather eat here a quick breakfast and save my good meal in a area away from here for dinner. Yes I'm giving 5 stars at a McDonald's, but you must understand I was starving. We'd just walked through the Vatican museum and 95 degree heat for hours and we were not eating at the papal cafeteria within, so we trekked to Burger King then McDonald's and cooled off with a McFlurry. It was good but I recommend getting a soft serve(which I got after the McFlurry) for half the price and about the same amount of ice cream read more

In Italy for two weeks on vacation and honestly I wanted a hamburger instead of pizza or pasta. LOL!!! My double cheese burger and fries was delicious! Maybe because I was craving fast food, but when I got to the USA and home it wasn't as good! After I ate my meal I called my friends that were sitting outside the Vatican resting and asked if they wanted something. 7 double cheese burgers to go please!!!! Hahah!!! After a long day exploring the Vatican city we deceided to stop here for a quick bite. On the floor below you have a big, nicely cooled restaurant with a lot of seats available. And if you have ordered your food by the machine they can bring the food to you by the table. The food was OK, nothing really special there. Also ordered a portion of cheesy fries with bacon which where pretty nice. The only minus I can give is to stay away from the bathroom. It was all clogged up and dirty, maybe a bad day there but we avoided it and just did go somewhere else. read more

Service was crappy, someone stole my bag from my children right by both a camera and an employee, yet no one "saw" anything and the manager was no help. Will never return and will never recommend. Three stolen passports, a set of AirPods, two credit cards that the thief attempted to run nearly $10K in charges on...made the $27 stop at the "nice Italian McDonalds with the bakery" the ruin of our trip. McDonalds is as ghetto in Italy as it is in the states - in fact, more so, as I have NEVER been robbed at a McDonald's in the US. $27 crap meal and expresso cost me more than $500 to get emergency passports issued and thank GOD for being able to lock cards because only one charge went through. Thank goodness we are homeward bound tomorrow, keep this place. I'd give it less stars if I could. Be safe there. Made it through every other attraction only to be robbed at an Italian McDonald's traumatizing my children. read more

Ok, in all honesty - we really needed to use the bathroom so the cost was a purchase of coffee and meal. Tried the local hamburger meal with egg on top. Its all automated so you order at a kiosk grab a number and sit at your table. Then someone comes and drops your meal off. If you want ketchup - you have to grab .30 euros and head to the counter for small pack. Strange to see Corporate Restaurant across the street from Vatican City but such is the world. The place is super touristy -people seam to love it ! Everyone taking pictures. It is clean and the staff seams to be efficient at moving people in and out. read more

Decently clean restrooms, touristy and safe clientele, big venue, and right next to the Vatican City - can't complain much except service is very slow. Expect to wait in 2 long lines, 1 for ordering and 1 for pick up. Being a tourist, I was taking photos while inside the store. I didn't like how aggressive and rude their staff (the cashier specifically) was when she asked me to stop taking photos saying that their store is copyrighted. Ok but really? In a McDonald's? Since this is not the first time I've heard of such a thing and maybe that's how it is in this particular country, we put away our phones right away like it was no big deal. What I didn't like is how the staff continued to rant when we dutifully obliged at first advise. It was totally uncalled for. We were so embarrassed with that staff shouting in Italian we can't comprehend. What an experience considering this is the one near the Vatican. In the end, they also didn't have the pasta I ordered and had to change to what they only have available. read more

For a cheap cappuccino why not come here. Make sure you tell them specifically you want it go or they'll put it in a mug. The self order screen option for take away doesn't inform the staff. There are homeless people that hang out here too. read more

Needed quick fast food after long queues in Vatican. The food was what you would expect from McDonalds. I enjoy eating at McDonald's and it is a "safe food" rather than trying to figure out which place can feed my family quickly and not pricey. The order kiosk was great to facilitate quick ordering while giving customers as much time they need to decide. The place had good AC on a hot summer day. The floors were dirty and could use more cleaning. Management should know that with the kind of food they serve, spills and food stuff easily gets the place dirtied up. A little more cleaning would keep the place in better shape. read more

The signs leading up to the place were so misleading! They seemed to be designed more for the vehicles than the average walk in person, with multiple turns instead of showing the direct path available. Besides that, the ground level eating area was quite filthy, with uncleared tables (with the McCafe utensils), some spills on the floor and flies buzzing around the automated garbage bin. A rather bad experience and unfortunately also the worst McDonald's restaurant I've been to. read more

Easy Order kiosks make it simple to select your preferred language, order your favorite mc d's food, and pay all at once. They ran out of the salad we ordered. In addition to replacing it with a different salad, the worker gave us a box of chicken nuggets for free. (Kind of an odd choice, but free food rocks.) The main reason for my 2-star rating is the SUPER DIRTY bathrooms (downstairs). Soooo gross. Toilet paper ran out (luckily I had Kleenex in my purse). Inside the stall there was a large, overflowing trash container that had "stuff" flowing out spilling all of the floor. It was totally gross. The mess wasn't just on the women's bathroom. My husband went to the men's room and came back nauseous. He didn't describe the crime scene, to my relief. One of the few, if not only, McDonalds in the area. They really need to get their place cleaned up!!! read more

We went here for breakfast one day and it was terrible. Super oily hash browns, average egg McMuffin. Worst part of the experience was the coffee at the McCafe. I asked for very very very hot coffee and they said they would try. Little did we know that the coffee we would receive wouldn't even be warm but actually cold. Just could not comprehend how you can mess up hot coffee that badly. Would never go back if you paid me. read more
