Well, after several days of delicious, amazing local food in Rome, it was time to sample an American staple... burgers. We arrived at a trendy counter, complete with beer taps (much loved). We ordered a couple of standard cheeseburgers, with fries, fried onions and Birra Moretti La Rossa (amber beer). The service was a bit cold, but adequate (we are tourists who speak just a little Italian. I understand). You get a buzzer so picked our spot and waited. There are several rooms where you can hang out, many of which have no windows, but if you need to knock out some work or plan your next tourist stop, it's a good place. We paid about 24 Euros for the meal. The burgers were deliciously squishy and not huge (that's a good thing for us) and fries were also good. The fried onions (notice I didn't say "rings") were odd, but also good. They had the consistency more of a lightly fried topping (so we added to our burgers). The front room has a complimentary (multi-game) video game. We played Galaga and probably annoyed a few patrons. In short, we liked the place and the food was good. Cold beer on hot day also helped a lot. read more
