This is a hip little joint. Hence the name Tommi's Burger Joint. You walk in, you hear the sound of hip hop music and see some of pop cultures music and movie posters on the wall. Distinctly America in the heart of Italy. In terms of what I ordered, well let's just say the burger looked plain when it came to the table but man did it pack a lot of flavor. And those buns! I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally found myself checking this place out on Easter, it was surprising that this place was open on a holiday and on a Sunday as well (since a lot of place in Rome close quite early on Sundays, if they're even open at all during a holiday). The place is smaller than I imagined, but it's cozy and has a relaxing vibe to it. Probably around fits 20-25 people in their sitting area. The decor is very American pop culture influenced, with posters of American classic movies and musicians. The music was great (for my taste in R&B/Hip-Hop, as least). The workers are welcoming and are composed of English and Italian speaker. The menu is a bit limited with three burgers (classic, chicken and vegetarian). The sweet potato fries were great. The Sprite was basically sparkling water. They also serve wine and beer. Price wise, it was okay. A burger, fries and drink for about 13 euros. You can change the fries and drink to sweet potato fries and a beer/wine at an extra cost. Overall, my first experience was nice. I want to go back to try a milkshake and maybe another type of burger...with sweet potato fries (I absolutely love them) haha! read more

I was struggling to find a place for a quick breakfast, but fortunately Tommy's was open at 8. I had a decent cappuccino and the worst croissant of my life. Truly, I could only eat two bites of it, and I even regretted those. It was very stale and squishy. Based on that alone, I wouldn't come back to this restaurant for anything, if they feel that this sort of croissant is appropriate to serve to their customers. Not recommended. read more

Wandered by looking for food and beer after our visit to the Vatican. They have a happy hour deal for 5 euro burgers and buy one get one free beer (3 euros). The burger and the chicken burgers we're delicious, the beer was cold, and the service was perfect! They spoke English and explained everything very well. WiFi works great. They have about every condiment and topping you could want on a little bar where you can serve yourself as much as you want. They even have Siracha!! read more

Amazing burger spot! The burger was juicy and delicious and they have a great topping bar with so many different sauces to add to your burger at no extra charge. I got the burger, fries, and soda combo and it was a pretty great deal, especially with the student discount. The staff is super friendly and they speak good English. It's really close to the Ottaviano metro stop, which makes it a convenient place to grab food when you pass by the area.
