Food was so so cool and cheap! The line was like 45 mins but well worth! I will definitely go again! And the lady who took my order was so nice!

This is a very tiny place and close to Vatican, there is not a lot of seats and many people were sitting on the ground outside this pasta place. The wait is ok, not very long, but you need to expect some waiting. The pasta is really fresh and delicious. We were lucky to find 2 seats inside the shop. Highly recommend if you don't mind the wait or no seat.

AMAZING, DELICIOUS, QUICK & FRESH pasta served here at Pastasciutta! I will admit, I was a bit hesitant about getting a quick bite from a place so close to the Vatican. I generally try to avoid eating near touristy sites BUT I was honestly starving hungry. Pastasciutta is A GEM located in an alley way off the main road that splits Rome & Vatican City. They have 6 pasta options to choose from for only €7.50. Like come on! I got the strozzapreti al pesto and it was €7.50 well spent. Probably the best & cheapest meal I have had in Rome haha. The strozzapreti was cooked perfectly al dente & the pesto sauce... SO GOOD! I could eat their pasta for every meal tbh. Would totally come back again. Staff was so kind, as well. MUST GO if you're in the area and want something to grub on that is tasty, inexpensive, and quick ;)

Pastasciutta was recommended to me for lunch by my Vatican Museum tour guide and she did me a favor. It's located about 50 yards from the north entrance to Vatican City and is a 9 bar stool restaurant that serves only 6 pasta meals and most of the people who get their food here eat it on the street curb in front. When I arrived for lunch the line was about a 15 minute wait. When it was my turn, I ordered the spaghetti alla carbonara for €7. Adding a Coke made the lunch €9. The inside of the restaurant is the size of a large closet. Working in cramped quarters the cooks make the food in front of you and then they call your number. My bowl of deliciousness was ready in about 3 minutes after ordering and luckily I grabbed an open barstool to eat inside. I'm not a big fan of dining on a street curb. The pasta was delicious with the egg, cheek lard, cheese and pepper mixing excellently with the homemade spaghetti. Italian comfort food at its best. I really liked this hole in the wall restaurant. The food was delicious and affordable too. It's simple and basic and serves the purpose for a quick and filling meal while visiting The Vatican. Come eat here.

Excellent pasta option near the Vatican - this location is far smaller and has far less seating space than the other location near Flaminio station, meaning you are almost certain to have to eat it on the go/street, but the pasta quality and value is unbeatable and worth the wait. We came close to opening time and the line was 30-40 people long. It moved pretty quickly and we were lucky enough to snag one of the ~5 bar seats inside. We waited around 10 mins for our order and were given a device that beeps once your order is ready. We got the pesto, carbonara, and tartufo. Menu options are limited but with pastas at €7 and water/pop at €1, its an excellent deal. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly al dente, with great portion sizes, and excellent pasta sauce. The carbonara was our favourite and one of the best throughout our entire trip. The pesto was also excellent - both sauces might be a bit salty for some, but we enjoyed and found it full of flavour. The tartufo is a good pick for those looking for a milder, less salty taste. Location is excellent as it's just a street or two away from the entrance to St. Peter's Square and it really hits the spot after a long, tiring day at the Vatican. We considered other options in the area, but seeing how the nearby restaurants were empty compared to the long line at Pastaciutta convinced us to try it, and we are glad we did.

Again on my way to a different restaurant and the smells coming from the door made me stop. Well worth the stop. Fresh made pasta. 6 options of pasta creations with several different types of noodles. 7.50 per plate and comes out super fast! The Pappardelle is excellent! What a difference fresh pasta taste! The ragu is great option. Just enough ragu for the pasta. The cacio e pepe is a little salty but I think that's how it's usually made. Only my second time trying this sauce (tried in Venice). I switched the noodles to pappardelle because the noodles it comes with were underdone. Otherwise excellent meals with quick service. Can share for two per plate if you just want to try it before buying extra like we did. Enjoy!

This place was kind of between downtown & Vatican. One simple pricing, 8.5 euro; 8 pasta options; generous portions. Cute little place with few indoor & outdoor chairs & tables. The kitchen is separated by a glass window, visible from dining area, you can see them cook your orders. Efficient service. The red sauced pasta bowls were our fave. The pesto was good. The rigatoni cacio e pepe was a bit bland & could use more sauce. Total cost for 4 pasta bowls was 34 euros, without cover charge or sitting fees, can't beat the deal!! TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Stumble upon this place while vacationing in Rome. And so glad we decided to give this place a try. Definitely worth a visit while in Rome. Thought they have someone inviting you to the restaurant like all other places in Rome. This one was a little friendly to have you try the restaurant. Met a fellow tourist who just finished and talked to us saying the restaurant is very good. So we gave it a try and everything was excellent. Excellent thin crust and crispy margarita pizza. Simple and very flavorful as this was our first stop in Rome so we wanted to try something simple. The calamari was very tasty and crunchy. The pasta bolognese was very good. I guess the tomato's in Italy is definitely different from the us even when they import them. Everything here was excellent and did not disappoint at all. We kept talking about how great the food was here the entire trip. As much we wanted to go back we had to try out places. But for our next trip we will be back for some more. After finishing the meal we walked past one of the doors and found it was a Michelin recommended place. But the servers could be a little more friendly. They were a little rude and not friendly to tourist.

Pros: excellent pasta and fast.. perfectly al dente, highly recommended... worth standing in line €7 per bowl Fyi: it's a fast food place.. minimal seating... they give u top of a chair to seat outside, there are some bar seat inside(6 maybe)

An excellent spot for a quick bite in Vatican City, especially before heading to the Vatican Museum. Despite limited seating inside, many opted to enjoy their meals outdoors. We shared an order of Fusilli Strozzapreti al pesto, which offered fantastic flavors in a simple and satisfying dish.

One of the best affordable pasta dishes I had in Rome. It took a little while to find a seat, but once I did, I was able to enjoy my meal. The food was fresh, and the pesto sauce was delicious. This place is more geared towards takeout, and you can eat outside on the crosswalk. It's a highly touristy spot, but the food is great and affordable. I would definitely recommend it!

So happy we did as this place definitely delivers. There is seriously like 8 tables in the dining room so expect a wait in line but trust me, it's worth it. We waited outside for about 25 minutes. They do take your order while in line so the wait for food (once you do get a table) is abbreviated. Out of the world pastas and the pistachio tiramisu is seriously out of this world.
