Another find from instagram! I love truffle and pasta so this place makes sense. They have various pasta and different combinations for you to order from. I got the mushroom and truffle (#18) and pork cheek, egg and truffle (#20). They also have a few drink options (beer, wine, juice, soda and water). The ordering process was easy. You pay and they give you a number. You can choose cheese on top and also take away if you prefer. They cook everything in front of you. Pasta goes into the water and they combine it with sauce and toppings. We didn't eat it until we got back to the hotel, but the whole car was filled with delicious aroma. The pasta was a bit congealed but that did not take away from it. The portion were large, I'm glad we didn't get a third plate. Pasta was bouncy and fresh. The sauce was creamy. The only change I would make is to skip the pork cheek (it's dried pieces of pork that's really salty). I did see somewhere the pasta has fresh shaved truffle, but that's not the case. What a gem! My mom, boyfriend, and I were just wandering around the area, and we happened to find this quick and easy pasta shop which easily became one of our favorite eats during our trip in Rome! And the best part? It's cheap too! I got their Tonnarelli Alla Gricia Tartufo (Tonnarelli pork cheek, pecorino cheese & truffle). Wow, the portions were HUGE for only €9,5! It had an amazing truffle flavor and cooked perfectly. There was a good amount of cured pork cheek too. This shop did not skimp out! There was so much cure pork cheek that my boyfriend and I had a difficult time finishing my bowl as it started getting quick salty near the end. We had his dish on the side to help with the saltiness. Their cured meats can get quite salty on the pasta dishes! But they're still sooooo good. My boyfriend got their Casarecce Acqua e Farina Al Pesto (water & flour pasta with pesto). This was soooo good. That pesto flavor, MMMM. The freshness and flavor of it would be difficult to find in the US. It also really helped balance the saltiness of my dish too. My mom got their Ravioli di Ricotta e Spinach con Funghi e Tartufo (ravioli stuffed ricotta cheese & spinach, truffle mushrooms & Parmesan cheese). SO GOOD. Each bite had a beautiful amount of truffle and mushroom flavor. We could taste the freshness in each bite, and the ravioli didn't fall apart easily with the ricotta as it normally would indicating the quality of the cheese and the perfect cooked temperature. This shop was definitely a nice surprise find. Fresh ingredients for a cheap price! Cannot beat that at all. It's cheap and it's fast. The pasta is made in house. It's clean and they have many options including a bunch of salads. I tried the cacio e Pepe and too salty for me but the noodle itself was excellent. I would go back and try other things, as they looked quite good. After a long day of walking the wife was hungry and we saw a lot of people walking with these bowls of on the go pasta. We stumbled upon pasta eat and were very impressed. What a fun place! Think Chipotle or Cava but for Italian food. Walk in and there's a counter with fresh homemade pastas and then a section for all the sauces. You can create your own or order one of their creations. Either way, this takes quick serve to a new level! We made our own with the employees help: fusilli with traditional pomodora sauce and Pepe d Cacio Ravioli with truffle sauce and a local beer. Let's start with the pasta, absolute perfection. This is the poster child of what pasta should be in Rome.
