Wow! Got 3 kinds of pizza and a bottle of water for 6.26€! And the pizza was great! I got the zucchini which was my favorite. I also got the prosciutto and one with buffalo mozzarella. It was easy and fast to order and they speak English. I was familiar with the "take-away" process. I said a very small piece and indicated with my hands. Each one I picked, she confirmed small again. While she heated them I paid in cash (credit card is an option). There are only a few tables and no ambiance but I admit it is better right out of the oven. Incredible pizza at a very reasonable price. You can get enough pizza to be comfortably full for around 5 euro, easily. Frequented by locals, you can tell that this place is super authentic. One thing that isn't uncommon in Italy but could be done better here is cutting down on cross contamination of allergens. There is pizza with pistachios on top, and also pesto on some of the pizzas, yet the same scissors are used to cut all of the pizzas. If there was a separation between the pizza with nuts and those without, it would be easy and respectful towards those with allergies. This spot is very much a grab and go situation, there's one bench outside but I recommend getting your pizza and taking a short walk to sit by the Pantheon. read more

It really allowed us to try a lot of different styles and flavors. Super fast service, it's a walk up counter. Great place if you want Pizza to go to bring back to your room or vacation rental in that area of Rome. Lots of locals stopping by. This is the most delicious and affordable pizza place that my husband and I hit in Rome. We were only there for three days and we came back every day for lunch. All pizza is charged by weight and you can be happily full with a drink for 5 euros or less. It is quick, the staff are friendly and there is always new pizza selections coming in. We noticed many locals coming in and out to enjoy the pizza so you know it's good. One of our saddest parts of leaving Rome was leaving this place behind! They cut the size that you specify and pay various prices per 100 grams, usually at €1.25 per 100g. Our meal cost €8.12 for 3 persons, about $10.00. And it was FULL of locals. A new way to buy pizza Located just across the street from where we are staying while we visit Rome, we popped into Pizzeria Florida to get some food to bring back to the room. We did first read reviews and learned they sell pizza by weight. That is a first for me, and it worked out fabulously. We found a display case when we walked in with probably a dozen different pizza choices, and they all looked good. My choice was a pizza covered with mushrooms that also had sausage buried in there someplace. My wife wanted a variety. The person taking our order was a big help as we got some of 5 different pizzas. The pizzas were cooked in large rectangles and she used scissors to snip snip snip the amount of pizza we wanted. I got a big square of the mushroom and sausage, which incidentally turned out to be the best in the bunch. My wife got smaller amounts of the other 4 we tried. They were weighted, heated, and boxed for us. The pizzas were all thick crust. I was impressed with the creativity and also liked the pizza. read more

When in Rome...the pizzeria is a MUST TRY. Hungry and tired from walking around the city me and my friend were craving pizza. So we yelp'd this place up and man we were NOT disappointed. It's DELISHHCIOUS and wonderfully cheap. First of all, as a typical American, things are always a bit different. So when you come in grab a number and wait for your number on the corner screen to pop up. They speak English here haha, so if you'll get by just fine while ordering. There's a numerous of different selections and it was so mouthwatering just looking at it all. I got this potato and mozzarella and zucchini. My friend got a sausage and salmon one. They weigh the slices by grams so if you ask for a 100g pizza then it's about a good rectangular slice. We wanted to come back here but didn't actually end up get the opportunity to. Rome has so much good food for cheap, and Pizzeria Florida is one of them. We managed to duck in just minutes before a massive queue assembled, but it seemed to move quickly. The pizzas are all pre-made, and they're cut (with scissors!) to your desired size before getting reheated and served. You have a takeaway and dine-in option, no charge for staying (just try to find a spot -- it gets crowded really quickly!) The pizzas are sold by weight, and Cool to see them sell by weight. We got two hefty slices, and it came to less than €6 in total. The two types we got were the crostino al pomodoro and the bufala. Both had delicious crusts! If you like crunchy and crisp, the pizza here is right for you. It's perfectly cooked on the bottom, while the bread in the middle is still soft. The crostino al pomodoro has small halves of cherry tomatoes with oregano and cheese as toppings. I found it light and refreshing because of the tomato juices, and the oregano and herbs add a nice sprinkling of flavor. Cheese is crisp on top -- it doesn't fall apart or is gooey. The bufala came with gooey mozzarella, which was a bit wet but so juicy. The fresh basil is refreshing and adds a lot of flavor too. There's nothing too special about the tomato sauce, though. Still a solid choice. Overall any slice is a solid choice for a quick snack or meal -- I love that pizza is sold by weight so you can get just a bite or a hefty dinner, whatever you're looking for. On top of the fact that it's the pizza I've ever tasted in my entire life, I also flipped my box if pizza right on the floor of the restaurant. The fact that you have to take a number then wait to place your order at tests to just how popular it is. Your selection is made from the numerous options on offer which are constantly being replenished, and you pay by weight. My party of four ordered way too much including drinks (€1 each) and still paid less than €20 total. While this is undoubtedly great value we were a little disappointed with the pizza itself which wasn't as tasty as we had hoped. We just pointed to the pizza we wanted and then they cut you a strip WITH SCISSORS, heat it up, fold it half, wrap it in parchment and hand it to you. What could be better?!
