This restaurant has excellent pizza and great Suppli. Flavor was great. The crust was light and crispy. He had a lot of great toppings that he kept bringing out fresh. We arrvied here on a ninety degree day just looking for some pizza a shade. For those who have not been to Rome yet, they're really not known for their pizza like Napoli. In Rome they make pizza in long Focaccia bread sheets with various toppings. The crust is about 1/2 inch thick. When you order it they take a pair of kitchen shears and cut off a rectangle and re-toast it quickly in the oven. Suppli is a fried rice ball with cheese and some sauce in it, although there are different kinds. I came to like the Suppli in Rome better than the pizzas. This is a tiny little hole in the wall, all of them are, down a narrow street near the Pantheon. There was a cooler full of beverages, take what you want. Service was great. Owner was there and very friendly. No shady stuff. After being in Rome a week was I used to hidden charges and cash only transations. This guy cared about his pizza and treated us well. Before making our way to the Trevi fountain I suggested we made a stop here. Its quite small and easy to miss and to be honest I would not have gone in if I had not researched it before hand. When we entered it was full ..i.e the only two tables had people huddled round. Approaching the counter a jolly guy greeted us warmly after conversing with a local for some time. He pointed out each freshly made pizza in the cabinet and explained what they contained...even a vegan pizza. We chose a simple mozzerlla and a cheese and ham..this he asked what portion and after saying medium he placed them on the scales. They came to €3 each. We gladly paid and seated ourselves at a freed up table. This was very good pizza! Especially at that price! As we sat snaffling the place quickly filled up with a queue..good timing. Anyway heavily recommended for a bite at lunch before heading to the pantheon or Trevi fountain. read more

It's crazy how some people could walk by this place and not stop in! It really is so close to the main action but it wasn't even that busy!! You are greeted with a nice refreshing glass of water and he will explain in English or Italian how the ordering process works. So I visited this place in September 2019 and I barely doing a review! The guy (I'm assuming owner) was super nice and attentive! I've heard a few conversations with different costumers and he tries to help people with advice as and tips in different language such a nice from him! So I wish Italy used Yelp more because this place was great!! We found it on trip advisor and who would've guessed one of our best Italy food experiences would've been this tiny pizza shop. First off, the owner works, makes, and serves the pizza himself. As far was we could tell he was a one man show! You walk in, he makes eye contact and is SUPER friendly! He gives everyone a free small cup of water because he knows it's hot outside. He knows English and didn't make you feel bad if you couldn't speak Italian. Seriously, this guy was amazingly friendly!! So you buy the pizza by the weight. The owner explains it and cuts as small or big of pieces that you want! Again, he didn't make it intimidating at all and is super patient in such a busy city. We tried 3 different types and all were great! We got one with ham and boy was it tasty! The bottom crust is crunchy but the dough is light and airy! Perfect ratio of pizza to crust. Great prices, extremely friendly customer service, and off the Main Street. Loved it!! We went there 3 times in 4 days. Kids love this more than gelato and pasta. Calzone is great and we have not been disappointed by any of the pizza there. The pizza did not disappoint. You choose which pizza you want, decide how large you want it to be cut, and then pay by weight. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff who spoke great English. We went early in the day so you could tell how fresh the pizza was. The crust was the highlight and was crisp throughout. We ate our pizza inside and they have free WiFi which was an added bonus.
