It was ok. The place is located in an apartment building. Once you get there, it is hard to get home -we had to request the host to call a cab for us. Everyone about it seems pretentious even though the place is an equivalent of a fast food place because they definitely trying to rush people in and out. The waitress brought in the menu by dropping it in front of us on the way to another table. Food is nothing to remember. Save yourself a trip from Rome center and just get dinner elsewhere. We spoke to some Americans there too and they essentially said the place is super active on social hence all the buzz about it.

In Pizza (and Supplí) We Trust- Seu Pizza Illuminati-Neapolitan Style, in Trastevere district in Rome. Opened 2018 #8 Top Pizza World 2022 #6 Top Pizza in Italy 2022 300 pizzas a day, open 7 pm until midnight, Closed Tuesday The young Pier Daniele Seu, the award winner of the "2016 Italian Emerging Pizza Chef" award, presents a pizza with a 30-hour rising time, which is crunchy & at the same time soft with an airy crust. A skillful union of both the Neapolitan & Roman styles. On the night I was there, I didn't get to meet his lovely wife, Valeria, and when I asked, Danielle told me there would always be a pizza named after her on the seasonal menu, which they change often. I love this. Love wins! You know the award-winning pizzas are incredible but don't miss out on the very BEST Supplí I've ever had! Perfect amount of cheese for that infamous pull, layers of flavor built into the risotto, and the perfectly thin fried crust. The space is artistic and fun, & a welcoming vibe throughout. You can trust illuminate with your carb allowance, time & money, we'll worth it. I tried four beautifully put-together pizzas VALERIA IN KOH PHANGAN Mozzarella cheese, marinated Thai chicken, soy sprouts, salty eggs' cream, coconut milk with green curry, cashew nut crumble, lime juice, basil & coriander FRESH CREAM, PEAS AND HAM (BACK FROM THE SO'S) Parmesan béchamel & mozzarella cheese, roasted ham, peas cream. nutmeg, parmesan cheese, wasabi peas crumble PIGLET IN THE WOOD Porcini mushrooms cream, mushrooms. smoked provola cheese, chestnuts' cream with a hint of raspberry vinegar. spreadable soft sausage, peanuts & thyme crumble MOUNTAIN RETREAT Mozzarella, Brie, speck, hot cider gel, salad with apples, walnuts & pink pepper, grated smoked salted ricotta cheese, oregon

Yummy pizza but definitely a hipster-contemporary vibe. Not what I would expect when considering an Italian pizzeria, so depends on what you're looking for

Seu Pizza Illuminati Soooooo, no disrespect but, this was hands down my favorite pizza in Rome, for sure. Cool little spot, you'll need reservations but, damn, super good and definitely my favorite. I tried all kinds of pizza, all around the city, but nothing compared to this modern gem. Made everything else seem like the old, chip off the block, run of of the mill type shit haha (again no disrespect but) this pizza was fire on all levels. Maybe my tastebud were raised on different pizza but, this did the most for me and I would highly recommended it if your in town. Just wow! Margherita - Tomato, Basil Mozzarella with an amazing house sauce, nuff said. Yum!! Capricciosa - Prosciutto , marinated artichokes, mushrooms, olives, mozzarella and sauce. Amatriciana - My favorite. This was my favorite anything, pizza, pizza, if they had it tbis style I wanted it. Sooooo good. Yum!!

    Amatriciana pizza

Loved this place!!! The pizza was delicious, the staff was attentive and helpful and there was nothing to complain about!! Get the Amatriciana pizza, you won't be disappointed!!

The inside of Seu Pizza Illuminati's menu suggests "the past cannot be changed, the future cannot be stopped," and with an eye on tradition Pier Daniele Seu pushes forward with bold Neo-Neapolitan Pies referencing Rome, seasonality and innovation. Opened mid-2018, traction gained from La Pizza stall at Mercato Centrale generating the resources to build a brick-and-mortar Restaurant in southern Trastevere, it is prior to 19h00 Wednesday through Monday that guests without reservations begin to line up, some seventy seats quick to fill as a well-trained staff circulates the room at a brisk pace. All white marble and polished black, a pink neon sign reading "in pizza we trust" adding color, there is no doubt Seu is aware of Instagram, but from the moment one begins to peruse choices it is evident Illuminati is no gimmick, and when beautiful bronze Suppli arrive the fact is confirmed by way of unparalleled lightness and well-sourced Ingredients. Already highly ranked by 50 Top Pizza Awards, a hand-selected blend of native Flour and controlled fermentation creating a Crust that puffs up big despite a base that eats crisp like Roman-style, it is after more inspired starters like fried Pumpkin Risotto and "Lingotto" that Pies arrive, the Margherita clearly popular at surrounding tables but ideas like Carbonara using emulsified Egg Yolk and contrasting Bacon felt to be a more appropriate way to enjoy a first experience. Leopard-spotted and as light as anything in Napoli, even the sweet-savory-smoky medley atop Seu's "The Piglet in the Woods" not occupying a lot of stomach capacity after a lengthy day of eating, do be sure to save room for Dessert as deconstructed Cannoli with a block of cold Pistachio Cream and a particularly bitter "Tiramiseu" compete with the Pizzas for top-billing.

    100% zucchini pizza

This was definitely one of my favorite food spots in Rome! The atmosphere was modern and cool compared to the many historic eateries I had been to throughout my stay. We made reservations months in advance and came a bit earlier than expected, but were still seated immediately. The service was amazing! Our food came out very quickly and our server had two bottles of still water ready for us. The food was absolutely amazing and something you really cannot find in the United States. I forget the exact name of the appetizers we ordered, but they were two types of deep fried risotto dishes that were so good that I am still thinking about them!! I ordered the 100% zucchini pizza which was packed with unique flavors, had the fluffiest crust and was sprinkled with the airiest cheese, and not to mention, was very filling. This was definitely the best pizza in Rome and I'm so happy I got to try it!

This place is made for me. Pier Daniele Seu's got Batman and Ninja Turtle figurines up, the pizza was absolutely delicious (with a proper kick), and we paired it with one of my favourite white wines. He's been dubbed Rome's most creative pizza chef - he delivered!

Great pizza with vegan options! It's a little out of the way, but the service was great and the pizza crust alone is worth the trip.
