If you take a peek at my review history, you'll know i seldom leave negative reviews. but this place angered me enough to leave one...as other reviews have mentioned, "pretentious" is a good word to sum this place up. the "hip" branding, trendy artwork, cursive neon signs, etc. are just lipstick on a pig and can't mask the atrocious service and mediocre-at-best pizza. when we got to the restaurant, we were told by the hostess they were fully booked but it would be about a 25-30 minute wait if we wanted to sit at the bar. we said "absolutely, that would be wonderful". within the first 30 minutes, an elderly woman fell pretty hard outside of the establishment and was unable to get up. before the ambulance came, a gentleman asked the hostess if he could have some ice to put on her knee. instead of rushing to help / aid this woman, it seemed like they couldn't be bothered- after accommodating people at the hostess stand, they finally gave him a small bag of ice maybe 8 minutes later- first red flag. they finally got her upright about 20 minutes later and an ambulance came and took her. we checked in after 30 minutes and were told it would be a few more. after about another half hour of waiting, 2 seats at the bar opened up. another woman (not the hostess) called a name (not ours) & lead 2 other folks in that arrived after us to the seats. the hostess, realizing the gal had called the wrong name, looked a bit frantic & told her she'd made a mistake, but did nothing about it. went up to check in again, and no mention apology, just "oh it'll be another few minutes". we should have just left at this point but had already waited so long, we decided to stick it out. maybe 20 minutes later, we were seated. i was hopeful that the mess leading up to the meal would be semi-worth it but we were sorely disappointed. we ordered the bufala and the broccoli & sausage pizza (there were hardly any meat options). it came fast which was appreciated after waiting for over an hour. the bufala was better than the broccoli sausage but nothing to write home about- i've had worse but also had much better. the prices weren't bad but the experience was not at all worth the wait. it put a very sour taste in our mouths, and overall, this was 2 hours of my life i wish we could get back on this trip. save your $ and try one of the other wonderful pizza spots in the area. read more

The menu is half classics, half wild flavors, and all good. You'll find everything from a mahgerita to a carrot cake pizza listed. The entire appetizer menu is vegetarian (as of March 2025) and pretty much all fried. The suppli is excellent. The pizza is very very good. It's as good as anything in Naples but without the extra oil toppings that's a signature of Napolitan pizza. Some of them even come by the slice. I'd come here any day. You don't need reservations if you arrive within half an hour of opening. read more

It was ok. The place is located in an apartment building. Once you get there, it is hard to get home -we had to request the host to call a cab for us. Everyone about it seems pretentious even though the place is an equivalent of a fast food place because they definitely trying to rush people in and out. The waitress brought in the menu by dropping it in front of us on the way to another table. Food is nothing to remember. Save yourself a trip from Rome center and just get dinner elsewhere. We spoke to some Americans there too and they essentially said the place is super active on social hence all the buzz about it. read more

Seu Pizza Illuminati Soooooo, no disrespect but, this was hands down my favorite pizza in Rome, for sure. Cool little spot, you'll need reservations but, damn, super good and definitely my favorite. I tried all kinds of pizza, all around the city, but nothing compared to this modern gem. Made everything else seem like the old, chip off the block, run of of the mill type shit haha (again no disrespect but) this pizza was fire on all levels. Maybe my tastebud were raised on different pizza but, this did the most for me and I would highly recommended it if your in town. Just wow! Out of all the restaurants to visit in Rome, I picked this one from the multitude of websites I read because it is said to have the best pizza in Rome for the last few years. We walked 45 minutes to get here from our hotel in the heart of Roma. The location is definitely out of the way if you are looking for convenience, but the walk there gave us a feel for the Trastevere neighborhood which has its own unique vibe. We were immediately seated inside. It took quite a bit of time before a waiter came to our table. I was so excited to try the pizza and was encouraged by what I was seeing brought out of the kitchen while we waited. Soon enough, our Margherita pizza came out. It was good, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the expectations I had. No really strong flavors, just a good pizza. Splitting the pizza was not enough so we got an original Arancini, which was tasty. Looking back, I wish we'd tried a different arancini (maybe with squash blossoms), and a more extravagant pizza. read more

This place is very popular, and we had to call for reservations, but in the end we had a few more people than originally planned. We came ten minutes before they opened, and all the tables were reserved. They were able to accomodate us, but told us we needed to leave within the hour since the other tables were reserved. The pizza was amazing! we had the bacon pizza and the regular margarita pizza- both were great, but I liked the simple and plain one best! Their english pizza sign inside and english speaking servers made us feel comfortable. Although we left within the hour, with 10 minutes to spare, there were only three other tables in the restaurant that were taken by people, while the rest of the restaurant tables were still reserved and totally empty. Would come back again though, but won't forget to make a bigger reservation, just in case! read more

This was definitely one of my favorite food spots in Rome! The atmosphere was modern and cool compared to the many historic eateries I had been to throughout my stay. We made reservations months in advance and came a bit earlier than expected, but were still seated immediately. The service was amazing! Our food came out very quickly and our server had two bottles of still water ready for us. The food was absolutely amazing and something you really cannot find in the United States. I forget the exact name of the appetizers we ordered, but they were two types of deep fried risotto dishes that were so good that I am still thinking about them!! I ordered the 100% zucchini pizza which was packed with unique flavors, had the fluffiest crust and was sprinkled with the airiest cheese, and not to mention, was very filling. This was definitely the best pizza in Rome and I'm so happy I got to try it! read more

I honestly don't get it....maybe people love it because it's totally different than traditional pizza? We haven't eaten any other pizza in Rome but we had a fabulous one in Perugia. Made a reservation for 10:15 pm on a Monday night. It's in the middle of nowhere. Yes super hip and trendy. No didn't satisfy my desire for pizza....struggled to find any that were appealing to us. Reminded me more of a Pide bread than a pizza. Cold cheese on top of luke warm bread. It's shaped like a pizza....but that doesn't make it a pizza. The best pizza I have every had, anywhere. The crust seems to melt in your mouth. This is a new place in Trastevere. The location is a bit unusual, you won't chance upon it. The atmosphere has a nice vibe, and they have a nice selection of microbrews as well as a knowledgeable wine steward. Even though it is out of the way, you may need a reservation as the place is already popular. If/when I get back to Rome this will be my first stop. read more

Tucked away far from the tourist crowds in Rome, this place has it all: kind and caring waiters, a bustling Italian atmosphere, proper health procedures, including a temperature check at the door, in these trying times. But let's focus on the essential: the truly phenomenal food. We had the Fior di Cotto and Olivastra to share, followed by the Tiramiseu. The pizza dough was soft and thin yet fluffy, the toppings of the highest quality, and the combination of ingredients truly unique. I do want to say this is probably the most innovative pizza I've tried. The Tiramiseu was like a tiramisu in reverse, with a salty crunchy base, the most wonderful creamy filling, and dollops of a pleasantly bitter coffee cream on top. To die for.
