It's an open and airy restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. We were seated right away and we had a great view of the kitchen with pizza oven! We started with lattes that were creamy and delicious. I added a little sugar and it was a perfect coffee drink to start the meal with. We enjoyed the Spicy Sicilian Hash and the Breakfast Panino. The hash had tender brisket and great flavor. The panino had a tasty pesto, melty cheese, and bacon that was cooked to perfection. The portions are quite generous, so they would make for good sharing dishes! If you're looking for a casual comfortable brunch spot with a wide variety drinks (coffee and cocktails) and dishes (savory and sweet), Piatti is the place to come!

Prices are astronomically high for the quantity! We got the impossible meat lasagna, chicken Alfredo, and Tuscan kale and bean soup. The pasta entreés are $30 each. $12 for a small cup of soup. When the dishes arrived, I I had to do a double take at the quantity. The taste was alright--the lasagna was exceptional though. Service was excellent. And they offer a complimentary tiramisu if you are celebrating a birthday!

Waitress Bailey was so kind and the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. Lots of food and Bailey gifted me the bread!

Had a really nice dining experience here over the summer. It was a warm evening so we sat outside. The only downside was the waitress forgot to come get our order for a while so we had to remind them we were out there! However, they apologized profusely and even comped our drinks and gave us a free desert! It was so sweet. For the starter we had fried zucchini fries which were soo good! Nicely crisped. For my entree I went with the squid ink seafood pasta. It was delicious and I highly recommend it for any seafood lover. The tiramisu was so good!! Also loved my cocktail.

Ordered a pizza that arrived 25 minutes late, cold, and much smaller than expected, more like a flatbread. The manager acknowledged the issue and offered a dessert, but even the tiramisu was stale with no coffee flavor. What really turned us away, though, was seeing Theresa treat the employees poorly. It's hard to support a place where staff aren't respected. A staffing change is needed if they want things to improve. Won't be returning.

This Italian spot is proof you can't eat ambiance. The decor is fit for a magazine, and the staff were polite to a fault. But the food itself was a massive disappointment. My food was so bland it tasted like the idea of Italian food, politely seasoned with 'maybe salt?' My advice? Come for the scenery, but eat dinner somewhere that has actually introduced its chef to a spice rack.

You'll find your way here via QFC. Stopped in for aperitivo hour. I enjoyed the punch cocktail for $10 at a cute table next to the bar. I also had the $10 meatballs and they were tasty. My husband enjoyed his spritz. Dinners around us were enjoying late lunch and early dinner. Everyone seemed pleasantly happy. Service was good. Restaurant was very clean and bright and airy. The noise level was good too. A perfect place when you just want a low key meal or nosh out. Check out their website before you come. Parking can be challenging during busy times like weekends and Friday evenings.

Good Italian food! The food seemed a bit pricy for what it is, but overall a solid meal. We shared the focaccia to start and this was really good! I really liked the dipping oil, and the bread was fluffy. For my entree I got the gnocchi and liked this as well. I did feel like this dish (and several other pastas offered) were all overpriced given a lot of them did not come with meat. This is a nice and convenient spot in u district! The food is good but again, felt like it was a little pricy for Italian.

The California locations were a place we'd go to for a special occasion or a nice Sunday brunch. This Washington location is really, quite sad in comparison. The seating inside and outside is lovely. The waiters are friendly despite taking 20 mins to get an order in. In the end my pizza came out closer to cold than warm (yay, solid cheese). Despite that, it tasted fine, as did the pasta and appetizers. We just wouldn't come back for the price. I can get the same level enjoyment from eating a frozen pizza.

My son and I spent the day at UW for appointments and due to traffic we decided to go to U Village and grab dinner before heading home. When we walked in it was very empty probably due to the beautiful weather. There was no one at the host stand we stood up there for a good two minutes as the phone rang and finally the host walked up and said should be right with us. She dropped some food off on the patio, came back and then asked us if we could wait while she answered the phone. The waitress walked up to us and got us seated out on the patio. We ordered an app Burrata cheese and 2 Non alcoholic beverages. About 10 min passed and we received our app from I suppose the food runner. Our drinks were a few min behind the server dropped them and moved on. Our app was served with 4 small pieces of bread. We ran out of bread and were unable to eat our app but never saw our server until 30 min later after our dinner was served by a manger. Our server came by a few min later asking if we wanted more bread for our app. At this point it had been sitting for well over 30 min and I passed. Now our food was amazing the lemon spinach ricotta ravioli and the chicken fettuccini. Was amazing. We sat at our table with our plates stack and again our server was not to be found anywhere. We had to flag down the manager to get our check. Honestly food was 10/10 service was 2/10. Unfortunately we wont be back to many other choices with good service to have to settle

Is nice the food is so good and nice people there is nice the place

Unfortunately, the quality has declined to the point where it no longer feels worth the effort. The food is now significantly overpriced for what you get. Service is generally friendly, but inconsistent. One visit about six months ago stands out: we waited over 10 minutes after being seated with no acknowledgment, and eventually walked out. It wasn't even busy. Most recently, we were seated near the window when someone came in and asked to watch the baseball game. The staff turned the bar TV volume up so loud it was difficult to have a conversation. While we understand it's a sports-friendly environment, that level of noise didn't match the pricing or atmosphere we expected. Sports bars don't usually serve burgers that cost $26. We could have moved, but didn't anticipate such a dramatic change for one patron. We're grateful for the great memories over the years, but it's clear the experience has shifted, and not in a direction that works for us anymore.

The black cod was not the center of the dish literally or figuratively: it should have been labeled a black cod salad because for 35 dollars it was a giant pile of salad with a tiny sliver of cod served on the side. It is offensive to call this a main course with how the dish is plated and portioned. The rest of the menu suffers from similar compromises: the lobster rolls are pretty good but very small for 33 dollars. Some of the other menu items were a lot better in presentation and value. The mushroom risotto and the cheeseburger were some of the better items on the menu. The oysters were also very good. There's some bright spots here but the overall experience is very compromised by some landmines on the menu. I would come here specifically to sample a few oysters and for the cheeseburger but not for any other items if you are expecting an actual meal. You can easily drop 80+ dollars and leave feeling like something was missing.

We came mostly for happy hour but there wasn't much that intrigued us on the menu. We did split half a dozen oysters that were served with the most boring and basic mignonette and no lemon. The texture on the oysters was off enough to the point we hoped we wouldn't get sick later. The side salad on the happy hour menu we did enjoy, along with the burger. I'd come back for the burger and salad and that's it. The server left much to be desired and really impacted our experience. I know it's hard for restaurants to survive in Seattle with how expensive everything is. It's also expensive for people to go out to eat in this city. I didn't even remember where it was located but was intrigued when I learned it was in a micro-hood named Tanglewood. Salmon was very good, not dry but succulent; as well as the vegetables. It's as though you were eating the outdoors. The owner met with us and gave us a history of the place, followed by his chef's cuisine philosophy. Just a really pleasant conversation. My only personal gripe is that some of the elevated presentations of the cuisine itself did not meld well with some of the rustic dishes; I think their presentation should appear slightly more 'nouvelle cuisine française' and less road-side diner in some dishes. Overall however, R Christine reminds me of the wonderful little hidden locovore spots throughout France that oftentime prove to be borderline Michelin star operations. I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. That New York Strip was out of this world though... the garlic sauce that accompanied it was just enough of a flavor enhancer that it didn't take away from a steak that was cooked to the ideal temp. She provided great recommendations for drinks and food; and phenomenal service too. We were seated at the bar tables, which was comfortable! There's a cushioned banquette and chairs, and you have a view of the bar. To drink, my parents had their essentials wine flight. It's 3 wines: One sparkling white, one rose, and one lighter red. All of them were delicious! The favorite was the sparkling white. I had a non-alcoholic rose that was perfectly bubbly and fruity without being too sweet. To eat, we started with a half dozen oysters. They were on the briny and salty side, which we like! The mignonette served along was yummy too. We then had the following entrees: Croque Monsieur with a sunny egg, Lobster Benedict (special), and the quiche Lorraine. The Croque sandwich was decadent and the side salad was a great complement to it. I had to remind them about the egg, but it was brought out promptly. The lobster Benedict was rich and luxurious, and the potatoes paired nicely. The quiche Lorraine was custardy (as advertised) and had a nice balance of bacon and other flavors. We ended our meal with dessert and coffee. We enjoyed the pistachio Mille Feuille and the Opera cake. The Mille feuille was recommended by Maddie and I see why! It's creamy, flavorful, crunchy--such a unique dessert! The opera cake is perfect for chocolate lovers. The coffee was delicious and piping hot. You can even get it to go! The wine flights were served in pretty glasses that were all brought out at once. Our server told us nothing about the wine. We didn't even know what the red was- the menu said "Blend" but had 0 info. It was super strange to us to be drinking wines that we had absolutely no info on at all. I would recommend they print these in the future for people to reference if their servers aren't going to learn about the wine. The indoor space is beautiful. It was fresh, and full of that sweet flavor that hits exactly right. Altogether, this was a dinner that felt fresh, vibrant, and deeply satisfying. Plus the service was great and the staff were very helpful.

let's just say that this filled me up with so much food i didn't eat for the next 22 hours…read more for the price (only 12 dollars) that's a ridiculous portion size where to even start these seemed to be soft tacos, but with a full melted cheese covering on both sides of the shell i would say that's my only slight disappointment - that these weren't really crispy at all - there was no real crunch when i would bite into one of them - rather it was just slightly harder than a soft taco the cheese did add a great flavoring to the outside though - making this more than a normal taco shell each taco was absolutely overflowing with stuffing - it got to the point where the plate became another full meal by itself from everything that fell out of the taco the two main components of each taco were the cheese and the chicken the cheese was so perfectly melted - may have been the best cheese in a taco i've ever had it created such a satisfying cheese pull every time you took a bite - and it was one consistency throughout, meaning every time you took a bite you had to pull the cheese away from the rest of the taco - which was just fantstic as for the chicken - i was slightly disappointed that it wasn't spicy in the slightest. However, it still tasted like it had a really nice flavor, and had a soft interior. It being actually spicy would've moved this dish up a lot, though each taco was primarily made out of this chicken - and there was so much of it it was practically insane - but I loved this amount shoutout to the onions as well - they were great I asked for the habanero sauce - which i thought was ok - wasn't spicy at all and didn't add much flavor. will go with another sauce next time tried mixing in some taco bell fire sauce which was interesting i love that these came wrapped in aluminium foil to preserve heat. a great touch overall, as far as taste, these were pretty good, but when you consider the amount of meat you're getting, along with overall portion size - it's simply a fantastic meal.

It's hard for me to admit...... but this was actually my first time trying mole lol…read more I'm a sucker for Mexican food (just all food if we are keeping it 100 lmao) so I knew it'd be fire no matter what.... What I don't expect was for the quesadilla portions to be HUGE lol. Considering the taste + portions + reasonable pricing, I'd rec this joint any day if you're craving some take out mex
