Fabulous omelet

This is the second time I have come to this location. Had great free Sunday parking. The waitress was very attentive. Food was excellent!!! I added myself on the Yelp waiting list, which made it so much easier! The hostess was super sweet too!

Decided to give Phoebe's a try, as we were looking for a nice place to dine after moving our daughter into UT Austin. We stopped in around 10 on a Friday morning. It's downtown Austin, but there's a few inexpensive self pay parking spots located on the east side of the building....or west depending on where your coming from. But we were seated straight away. They have super spacious booths that can hold larger parties, we sat 5 and a pup comfortably! Their menu has awesome classic and great fresh take-breakfast and lunch options. Our server was cool and gave some great recommendations. (Caution- if they offer any options not originally mentioned- there is an up charge- and those add up quickly!) Once ordered our food came out pretty quickly and was delicious! Everything was fresh, tasty and fairly priced. Definitely one of our better Diner experiences! If your looking for a diner that offers great service and options to satisfy even your pickiest eaters, look no further! Happy Eating

Fried chicken and Goat Cheese Grits (GF, V)

The diner was a fun spot for breakfast. The food was really good, especially the goat cheese grits!! I highly recommend trying them! The service was great! The waitress told us to put a little horchata in the coffee and it paid off! Would definitely go again!

First time at Phoebe's! My family and I were exploring Austin for the day (drove from SATX). We decided to stop by for brunch and everything we ordered was delicious! We were a pretty big party (8) and they accommodated us fairly quickly despite how busy they were! Our sever, Jenna was amazing and so attentive! My sis in law and I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee and it was DELICIOUS! To eat I ordered; the kids blueberry pancakes for my daughter and the green chili chorizo hash for myself. Everything i tried was delicious! Definitely recommend! They have breakfast and lunch options with a good amount of choices! The decor is very cute and a more aesthetic vibe in comparison to more traditional diners! Loved it!

Pretty small

Pretty small restaurant so maybe make reservations. The food was good but I didn't think it was worth the wait. The service was fantastic the staff are awesome and they definitely go above and beyond for customer service.

Minus 1 star, just because of area/parking. Stinks nothing else is close to explore, outside of government buildings. That being said, WOW. Yummy to the tummy here. Banana bread, banana fosters French toast? Thick slice of this moist and soft with so much crunch from the walnuts gem. 3 people could definitely split this dish. Goat cheese grits? Yes please....so creamy, but grit texture is there. Really pleasing taste, if you love goat cheese like me. Fresh fruit and some good ol eggs and bacon dish. Space is small and cute, staff was exceptionally friendly. Stop by, even if you gotta pay to park

Kids cheeseburger add pickles

This is the perfect restaurant to bring small kids to! They have these "wiki stix" toys for the kids to play with at the table, along with paper and crayons for them to draw. My kids both loved the kids meal cheeseburger. Now for the entrées - I got the crabcakes Benny and my husband got the crabcake sandwich. Both were phenomenal. The crabcakes were crispy and so delicious! We are not from here, but we will definitely be back the next time we're in Austin.

I love this place. I'm so glad I read the reviews about the cheeky monkey cause I never would've ordered it but after reading about it and everyone raving about it I have to agree. It's a great appetizer. Everything else was delicious and the service is always great.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes with scrambled eggs

Great brunch spot! Love the chile relleno! So unique and tasty especially with the chorizo added! The migas with chorizo are also delicious. I do think it could use more masa cake, but very good dish. If your lookingfor a classic breakfast, the bad ass bacon and eggs are a great option and the chocolate chip pancakes are great! Good vibes and atmosphere with friendly service. They even have good bathrooms! Highly recommend!

Without exaggerating, this is the best breakfast I've had from any restaurant in a long time. I asked for a brisket burrito in a bowl with no tortilla, which the super friendly server was happy to accommodate. She recommended a big slab of bacon on the side. It was perfect, the eggs, the brisket, the potatoes, the flavor, the bacon. Perfect diner coffee as well. Really well done.

Shrimp and grits

They have a interesting breakfast twist here. I did enjoy my chicken fried steak. And their Vietnamese coffee was pretty good

Chicken and grits
Ty F.

We really enjoyed the experience overall! The diner had several unique flavor combinations and plenty of interesting options to try. We ordered a variety of items, and the standout favorites were definitely the brussel sprouts and the fried chicken served with the chicken and grits - both were absolutely delicious. The chicken caesar wrap was good, but the dressing being served on the side took away a bit from the full caesar wrap experience since it was difficult to evenly add the dressing while eating. Service was great, and there were so many friendly staff faces throughout the visit which made the atmosphere feel welcoming and enjoyable. Would definitely come back to try more menu items!

Brisket Benny ($15.99), Pancakes ($6.99)
Wendi K.

4.5 Stars A cute lil diner with classic, stick-to-your-ribs brunch food with a Southern twist. Food: Brisket Benny ($16.99) was hefty. They did not skimp on the biscuits. The biscuits sort of taste like sweet cornbread. The hash brown casserole was rich and creamy. The pancakes ($6.99) - were nice, lots of blueberries! Staff were really nice. Only nits: There was obnoxious pop music playing the background. It's not their fault I hate pop music though, lol.

Amazing Food, Incredible Drinks & Fantastic Service!…read more What an absolutely fabulous experience at Moonshine Grill in Austin! From the food to the drinks to the service, everything was fantastic! Jessica took great care of us and made our visit even more enjoyable. The ambiance was also really nice, with cute rocking chairs out front and lots of mirrors all over the walls. We had the grilled cheese sandwich with burnt ends, and WOW! The combination of the amazing onions and gooey, delicious cheese was out of this world! We also ordered the sweet potatoes, and I cannot say enough about how good they were! Perfectly sweet and absolutely delicious. Seriously, SO SO good! And the drinks? The lavender lemonade was AMAZING! Refreshing, delicious, and the perfect complement to an already fabulous meal! Between the incredible food, fantastic drinks, and Jessica's wonderful service, this place was a winner all around! If you're in Austin, Moonshine Grill is definitely worth a stop! For food, we ordered the blackened catfish, brisket burnt ends quesadillas, and harvest bowl to share. Everything was delicious and served quickly, even with the aforementioned dinner rush. 10/10 would order the same items again. I was so appreciative of the server splitting the entree over two plates without us asking. Did I mention the complimentary popcorn and cornbread? Twas a FEAST. I'm already thinking about the next time we're going back! If not for Moonshine, definitely for the speakeasy downstairs.

The interior is modern and sleek but doesn't lack a soul, which extends to their servers and workers, phenomenal. For our food we went with cornbread, pork belly sliders, aged wagyu burger, and fettuccine. The cornbread was phenomenal, an easy standout with a grilled onion butter that provides a pop of flavor. The pork belly sliders were also good, balancing all flavors perfectly. The fettuccine was good, not great. The chips and their texture took a lot away from what else was going on in the dish. Now for the best part of the meal, the burger. This burger is unworldly, an absolutely delicious bite brimming with juice. The beer cheese and jam do so much here with a perfectly cooked patty. Miranda was our server and she was so kind and attentive. She made sure we had a great experience and was a pleasure to talk to. To eat I ordered the classic breakfast and to drink I had the vanilla maca. I didn't love the vanilla maca, and I only blame myself for that. I have never had maca so I didn't know what to expect but the drink basically tasted like a chocolate protein shake. Which isn't bad but I wanted like more of a latte so that was on me. My meal however? Loved it. Everything was so flavorful and hit the spot exactly with what I wanted. I also really appreciate a salad with breakfast since this helps lower your glucose spike and so when a restaurant offers this I know they know true wellness!!! My girlfriends both ordered the avocado toast and loved it. One ordered the cherry vanilla limeade and enjoyed it as well, but as an avid cherry hater I didn't try it...but if you like cherry she recommends it! I would come back to Austin just to eat here again. So good. So jealous this isn't back home... did I mention that already??!!
