I have a gluten allergy, and unfortunately I found out the hard way that not every place gets gluten-free right. This place was different. I was visiting from Dallas and ended up coming back both days because the food was that good. The taste was amazing, ordering was simple and convenient, and the service came with a smile. To all my gluten-free family out there--give this place a try and thank me later!
Omg, Bird Bird Biscuit is the shit !!!! I would kill for these biscuits. If only they had them where I lived. Massive biscuits with delicious buttery soft, fluffy goodness ! The biscuit and jam is a treat of its own. Got the lovely day and queen beak. At first I thought ehhh pesto doesn't belong on there, I wasn't wrong but I wasn't right. Delicious with or without the pesto for the lovely day. Without the pesto it reminded me of the traditional breakfast sando but much more elevated and satisfies your hungry. The queen beak had a perfect crisp to its chicken and the honey was perfectly paired to cut the saltiness. Ample of seats. Self kiosk then you wait for your text to pick up. We did wait quite a bit but it was so worth it !

They do have a small parking lot but I had to park on the street. If you do order there, I read a sign that said expect at least 30 min for your food. I stood inline for about 10 min even for pre-ordering. Food was delicious as always

Wow!!! I haven't been here since I lived in Austin over 4 years ago and it still doesn't disappoint. I got the Firebird and my friend got the Carolina Caviar. Both were delicious, the chicken was so juicy, we absolutely demolished them! The sauces were so good, but next time I have to try the fries. The patio was very hot, but the fans and cold water helped a bit. Austin summers are brutal! I also loved that they had wet wipes available for use because these can get pretty messy.

The spicy chicken breast was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and the combo of fresh dill mayo, house pickles, and cilantro tied everything together so well. Every bite was bold, fresh, and seriously addictive. And the biscuits... unreal!! They were so buttery and flaky that I couldn't leave without taking some home, along with their house jam. Easily some of the best biscuits I've ever had. If you're in Austin, this is a must! No question!
Excellent service. You use a machine for my order. They had a lot of good choices and you can customize your order. Then you get a text from them when it's ready. The orange juice is fresh squeezes. I got the bird bird biscuit.
I was excited to try Bird Bird biscuit after hearing such great things about the place but my experience left me a little unimpressed. I ordered the Theodore with an egg added. When it arrived there was beautiful presentation. Once I bit into the sandwich came the dissatisfaction. The breading on the chicken was thicker than the actual chicken itself. The breading was not sticking to the chicken which made the sandwich slip with every bite. I eventually just tossed the chicken out. The biscuit itself was delicious nice thick and buttery homemade but the in between ingredients just ruined the experience for me. I will give another try being that my friend states it's usually not like this.
Don't sleep on this place while here in Texas. We definitely did not, I saw this place on someone's food blog and it look great and it sure was. If I live next door to this place it would become a daily habit! Great job guys keep up the great work.
I've been here twice and loved it both time. This time I got the Queen Beak & the Firebird. I loved the Queen Beak since the honey made it a little sweeter. The Firebird was really good too, it has a little kick to it and my boyfriend loved the pickles they had. The chicken on both was so tender, juicy, and so crispy. The biscuits were amazing. It was crunchy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, and wasn't falling apart at all. The only "cons" was that the food was so big making it hard and messy to eat. I went at around 9am so there was no one there, it was so peaceful and the food didn't take too long to come out at all. I would recommend coming here early since it gets crowded later on.

We decided to go for the most popular item which is the Queen Beak. I paired it with an unsweetened apricot tea cause when you do see apricot iced tea often? They text you when your order is ready for pick up and you go to the pick up window. Each order is made fresh. They have a few breakfast sandwich options if that's more your jam than chicken. The Queen Beak might look simple but it is a flavor punch. The biscuits are so fluffy and soft, and the chicken is so tender on the inside. The breading is crispy and the sauce gives it a sweet and savory flavor profile. Even though there isn't anything else but the sauce, chicken, and biscuit, it works so well together. Wash it down with unsweetened apricot tea to cut back some of the heaviness. The apricot is subtle but there. Such a great refreshing beverage! Would definitely return and recommend to anyone visiting Austin!

You order at the kiosk on the outdoor patio, and receive your order at another window. All seatings are outdoors. I placed my order, waited for approximately 15 minutes, and later found out my order did not go through due to the system being down. I suppose the 30 degree weather interfered with the network, but the friendly staff quickly addressed the issue and made my food within a few short minutes after. I ordered the "Lovely Day" (House-Made Chicken Sausage Biscuit with Cheddar Cheese) and absolutely fell in love. The chicken sausage and cheddar cheese are a match made in heaven, and the fresh biscuits wrapped it all together. Truly the best biscuit I've ever had in my life. I finished eating closer to 8 AM, and a line of customers were forming. This place is absolutely the spot and I highly recommend for all biscuit lovers!

This place was yummy! The queen beak sandwich is a little sweet, savory, and a hint of spicy. There is also a hint of ginger - like the Asian chili flavors. We also got the firebird but forgot to take a picture. It was quite decorated, and had fresh dill flavors with slices of pickle, good spice! The ambiance is chill , the wet wipes were dry, the water was fine, nothing horrible - and I enjoyed feeding the birds biscuits. The chicken in the sandwiches were hot and crispy , the biscuits were thick and I had to share with my friends. Good size, I just have a small stomach. My only complaint is that the sandwiches are $10-$12 but do not come with pickles or fries on the side :( No comment on the service, there is minimal interaction with the workers. Our family was visiting Austin during the weekend when a winter storm was approaching. A lot of places were closing early but thankfully Bird Bird Biscuit did not or at least they were still open when we stopped by around 3 pm. There is no indoor seating otherwise we would've dined in. Instead we took two Carolina Caviar sandwiches and two order of fries to go. With a lot of places closing early for the day, these were the perfect homey and comfort food to stay in and relax with, especially after a few hours of video games. read more

Rating: 4.2/ 5 [UberEats Delivery] I was craving Bird Bird ever since the first time I had it two weeks ago, so we ordered it on UberEats this time. The food was neatly packaged and each item had its own bag, which I appreciated. Theodore ($13.70) + Spiced Honey ($0.50): Fried chicken breast, bacon, BBQ sauce, and cheddar. My husband asked for no cheddar. His fried chicken breast was huge, but the biscuits were more overcooked compared to the Carolina Caviar. The spiced honey surprisingly didn't pair well with this sandwich. The BBQ sauce didn't taste like your typical BBQ; it reminded me of cranberry sauce since it was more sweet than tangy. The bacon tasted like McDonald's bacon and was dry and shriveled. I actually made an egg at home and added it to the sandwich, which helped. Carolina Caviar ($14.40): Fried chicken breast, hatch green chili pimento cheese, dill pickles. The hatch green chili pimento cheese with the biscuit gives crab cake benedict vibes in the best way. The biscuits were still overcooked and crumbly, slightly brown instead of golden. Because the biscuits were dry, I like adding the dill mayo on top for extra flavor and moisture. This one was better than the Theodore for me. Dill Mayo Sauce ($1.20): Still delicious, but not as phenomenal as the first time. Fries ($4.20) + Bacon-Infused Chipotle Dipping Sauce ($1): The fries weren't crispy when they arrived, so we air-fried them. The seasoning was good though. We didn't really taste the bacon in the chipotle sauce, so I would skip it. read more

Such a great breakfast spot! This is a grab-and-go spot with limited outdoor seating, so just keep that in mind when ordering. You can order online or call in and order ahead of time or walk up to the order window. I got the lovely day and my friend got the queen beak. The lovely day was so yummy! It was my ideal breakfast sandwich. The chicken sausage patty was well seasoned and the egg was perfectly cooked. The basil pesto was also a nice touch to a traditional breakfast sandwich and was super fresh. The cherry on top was definitely the biscuits. They were so fluffy and pillowy, some of the best biscuits I've ever had. The only con is that it is quite a filling/heavy breakfast. (8.5/10) I also got to try my friend's queen beak and the fried chicken was really moist and well seasoned. The chipotle mayo was a bit more tangy than I expected, but overall a great sandwich. (7.5/10) The service was super friendly and helpful with the menu. I will definitely come back when I am in the area. read more

Bird Bird Biscuit is hands down one of my absolute favorite breakfast and brunch spots ever. My wife and I make it a point to come here every single time we are in Austin and honestly even when we are staying way up in Liberty Hill the drive is always worth it. This place is a staple for us and never disappoints. I am a huge sucker for fried chicken and their spicy fried chicken biscuit sandwich is unreal. The chicken is perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat, tucked inside this thick doughy biscuit that somehow stays light and fluffy at the same time. Then you get those big chunky pickles that add the perfect crunch and this spicy dill mayo aioli situation that I do not even know how to describe other than it is ridiculously good. We have had almost everything on the menu at this point. The Lovely Bird is great, The Theodore with the bacon is amazing, and the Little Dipper is such a sleeper hit. It is basically the perfect grilled cheese. Thick, crispy on the outside, soft and melty on the inside. Their Dodos are also awesome, these light airy donut bites that are perfect to snack on after crushing a spicy chicken sandwich. And obviously the biscuits deserve their own shoutout. They are not too dense, not dry, not overly heavy. Just the perfect balance of light, fluffy, buttery, and warm. The biscuits and gravy are fantastic too. Everything feels well thought out and executed perfectly. I truly cannot recommend this place enough. If you love fried chicken, biscuits, or just really good comfort food, Bird Bird Biscuit is a must. One of those places that lives up to the hype every single time. read more

I've been living in Austin for almost 5 years, and I can't believe I was today years old when I finally tried my first biscuit sandwich at this iconic staple! I absolutely loved my Firebird Chicken Sandwich -- it had the perfect ratio of dill flavor (from the mayo) and spiciness. The thick-cut sweet pickles added the perfect bite of sweetness and crunch that took the sandwich to the next level in my opinion! The spicy fried chicken breast had just the right amount of crispy batter without making the chicken dry. Overall service was quick for a late Sunday lunch and I enjoyed how you order at a monitor and pick up your meal at the counter. All the seating at this location is outside and on their deck/patio, but they do have a bathroom inside in case you need it. So happy to see a new location opened right by me on South Lamar! We walked up on a Sunday morning around 11am and were able to find a seat no problem. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio as it was a nice day out. You order at a kiosk outside (or on your phone) and pick up at the window. I got the vegetarian Biscuitarian sandwich which was incredible - the biscuit was so soft and the sauce was great. My boyfriend got the Queen Beak and added an egg and bacon. We also shared their Dough Doughs (SO good) and got a refreshing orange juice and strawberry lemonade. Really enjoyed out meal here - definitely lived up to the hype! read more

SO GOOD. I came by for the queen beak sandwich with a friend who raves about it, and it was absolutely delicious. You order on tablets and it takes a while for the food to come out since they make it to order, but worth the wait. Not much outdoor seating but they have a little water station set up with utensils and napkins. Affordable pricing, ($11-13 for a sandwich) and quality really speaks for itself. Wow, I was really impressed. The Queen Beak is such a unique fried chicken biscuit, and the honey sauce on it is easily the best part. It's slightly sweet and pairs perfectly with the house made biscuit and the juicy, incredibly crunchy chicken that somehow stays super moist. The wait time wasn't long, especially with the self ordering kiosk, and there's also an option to order online. Seating is patio-only with a few large tables and plenty of high top bar seating. Oh my gosh. I love the breakfast sandwich I got. It's called Lovely Day. And I have to say, it really was a lovely day. I had this beautifully crafted biscuit breakfast sandwich. Chicken sausage, cheese, fried egg and a basil pesto. The biscuit is that beautiful southern, light, flaky, even buttery like biscuit. Can't rave enough about the biscuit. Sandwich was huge. Literally I tapped out at half way. I ate the other half a little later. About the location. A couple parking spots. Street parking is tight. Meaning cars park on both sides of the street, which makes 2 cars driving a little challenge. You have to pull over to let the bigger car go, and proceed when they pass. You order at a kiosk. Place your order, pay. You give your phone number and they text you when it's ready. They have signs for "order here" and "pick up here" so if it's your first time you know what to expect. Seating is outside. They have a couple seats, bar like. Facing the street. I would assume most people pick up and go. Door dash, etc. it's in a residential area. Can't wait to go back. One of the best biscuit sandwiches I've ever had! We stopped early morning on a Friday- our first meal of the trip. I wasn't sure what to expect but we were so glad we stopped. No seating inside, but that was ok with us. We ordered on the computer outside and waited in the sunshine for our order. Let's get to the good stuff. The chicken sandwich was outstanding!! Spicy, crunchy, soft, creamy- all the things you want. And those pickles...yes! The biscuit had amazing texture and flavor. Put this on your Austin food bucket list. read more
My bf and I stopped and tried this spot and we both LOVED the bread and the chicken. The only thing, is my bf is a pickle hater and there wasn't many options for spicy chicken without pickles. He ended up with the firebird with no pickles... and it ended up just having a hot chicken with cilantro. He said next time he will get the Queen peak (which is what I got). It's been a while but hubby and I are traveling through Austin so we thought we would get some Bird Bird. Hubby got a Carolina Caviar this time and he loved it! I got my normal bacon biscuit but my sandwich was cold. It was still good though and I will warm it up when I get to our location. The employees were friendly and customer service was great. Spice is in the sauce, not the chicken. The chicken itself is seasoned, but not spic(y).

Can I place large order for pick-up in advance (2 weeks prior)? I've called two days in a row and left a voicemail and no one has answered, and the online ordering isn't allowing orders!
I doubt it. They sell out on a daily basis, and typically volume restaurants like them don't take orders like that simply because they don't have to
Are your biscuits vegan (dairy free)? Are vegetarian biscuits allium free?
They are not vegan. They are vegetarian. We use clabber girl for our baking powder and at they announced a new formula that is allium free. As soon as it is available in bulk, we will make that switch.
