That's no big deal. In my experience, Most pho places with some rude ass waiters are the spots I LOVE to go to because their food be HITTING ALL THE RIGHT SPOTS We walked up to the counter and started ordering, It might've been unintentional but The man who took our order was a bit loud, and gave us the impression that he was annoyed. Him waving his hand at us and looked at us crazy when we asked to opt out of the pork and just do shrimp spring rolls he said "No, only shrimp and pork!" I'm thinking, "ok papa you the man , you know your shit, well just go with whatever you say." He also asked us what number table we have, we looked around, picked a table number and that was it. Wrapped this up and we had to pay. We paid and We tipped the %15 BEFORE we even received our food knowing this man had an attitude. Some guy, who didn't take our order, (very sweet man) came by and gave us the water bottles. I didn't know it yet, but that $1 charge of the Kirkland water bottle from Costco was the best thing we got at our table. 10 out of 10. **SPRING ROLLS PORK AND SHRIMP I regretted taking a bite out of this because it left a really disgusting rotten taste in my mouth. Knowing what I seen with the mystery pork in the spring rolls, I decided not to try it. I was traumatized. Tripe, so-so. Nothing to say. It ended up on the garnish plate. Noodles were very mushy. I feel like they were somehow overcooked. Presentation of the noodles seemed to be cut in some places and made everything seem un-even. Some noodles were curly, what's the science in that? This was the house special pho? Mushy noodles with overcooked meat and an ok broth. Solid 2 out of 10. **SIDE OF RAW STEAK I took a photo of this, check that out. It's common for my sister to order a side of raw steak with her pho. It's always pink. She'll eat it raw drizzled with lime, hoisin, salt and pepper. Some restaurants will serve it frozen like and pink-ish, instead the raw steak they served was brown. -1 out of 10 **THAI TEA SMOOTHIE WITH BOBA During our meal we ordered a Thai tea smoothie with boba. The only nice gentleman with a bunch of tattoos made the drink. He's really sweet but the Thai was not Thai tea. The boba was warm and really good, but the drink had a strong taste of coconut. Did he mistakenly add coconut? I don't know. When we left we took the drink with us because we didn't want to seem mean or ungrateful to the only one who was polite to us. Boba drink, 6 out of 10 The table had: -Hoisin sauce -red chili oil (the red flakes looked very old.) it might have been the brand they choose. I'm not sure. Let me start with a positive. The bahn mi sandwiches are DELICIOUS. Reminds me of the bay area! I was going to give 5 stars, but then I bit into the plastic which is definitely from the vietnamese ham. Automatic star taken off. Picture is attached. I think we waited 25 minutes for our order to come and watched 2-3 customers before us who also ordered after us get their food before us and we really only ordered 2 dishes. We ordered the pad Thai and another dish (I forgot what it was called), but it was the dish with thick noodles with beef. The pad Thai was not pad Thai AT ALL and I've had my fair share with that dish. The thick noodles with beef was pale and had hardly any taste. The avocado drink that I ordered for my daughter tasted funky. It did not taste like avocado AT ALL & I'm sure they used powder for this drink, but even that didn't taste like avocado...I can't even compare it to anything. Went in on Monday, September 19, 2022 cause the rainy weather called for some pho. Had to update my review to 2 stars because I ended waiting 56 minutes for my pho. I came in with a family member who ordered after me, yet they got their food first. By the time I got mine, they had already finished. It wasn't packed when we arrived, but they did seem to get a lot of take-out orders which caused them to forget about dine-in orders. I really like this restaurant... it's so low profile that you will not even notice that it's there unless somebody tells you. This restaurant is the classic good Pho place that you go when it's cold and you want a super bowl of good soup. The menu is very big and you can find any combination of the famous Vietnamese soup you want (beef, chicken or seafood). There are other Chinese entrees to order too in case you are not a soup person. I didn't try the bobba teas and smoothies but they looked very good in the other tables... :) I will continue coming here and I'll keep recommending this restaurant to all my friends. read more

Such great food. I have come here for the last 12 years. There is an elderly lady that always hooks us up with miniature guava candy. Spring rolls on point! Especially for the price. For vegetarians and vegans eyes only: FINALLY a pho spot that offers more than one veggie option. I travel a lot for work and am always on the lookout for vegetarian options which can be pretty limited, depending on where I am. I have found in my travels that Vietnamese spots are a safe bet and will have at least one veggie option, however sub-par. But Pho'dera? There were not one, but two pho options as well as longer list of other veg dishes. I opted for the spicy veggie pho, added tofu and WOW it was so flavorful and the portion was massive. Most of the time at other pho spots I load up on hoisin and sriracha, but here my dish didn't need it. I'm sad to say that this place far surpasses my usual haunts back at home and has now ruined my pho experience for life. I also ordered some veg egg rolls on the side (just in case the pho disappointed) and I just wrapped those up and ate them for a snack later. They were delish as well, but are we really surprised? The staff was very attentive and answered all of annoying questions. They were pretty busy so I'm surprised they put up with me, lol. read more

No thanks so a lot of us just left because we had to be somewhere. I didn't even get to try out the food really wanted too but didn't have the time to wait at the time. Just had t grab a Togo. Placed looked pretty clean and big but if you wanna order food early in the morning beware that there might be a delay. Giving this a one star for now not because of the food but because of the service making customer wait when it was just open. Worked for this place for 3 weeks was going on 4 and already fired through text and I know I'm not the problem because customers always tipped me and complimented my service. The scribble on 8/1 was 50 min I worked that he wasn't going to pay me for that he crossed out. When confronted about issue he went ballistic. Facility is dirty. Food not that good. Bobbas are depending on who makes them. Rude to cashier girls only nice to family. It's either "too fast slow down take it easy" Or "hurry up go fast with delivery you too slow" Rats! I like to give places the benefit of the doubt since as of lately the food here has been going downhill. This was my 3rd messed up order and will be my final. We order some boba and another plate with these pork buns. We opened the lid and were so confused to what was in the container until we realized it was supposed to be the pork buns. They were blasted and hard from some sides, I knocked them on the counter and it sounded like a rock. Chicken pho for my son, I didn't really like how the broth tasted this is personal preference it's just wasn't what I like. My kid loved the chicken pho I asked the waitress for the fixings for my kids plate scallions and such she never brought it out. Also ordered little spring rolls I was not impressed there wasn't a crunch to these rolls and the peanut butter sauce was runny Drinks: ordered sour apple smoothie with boba and hot green tea. Was served the smoothie with the hot boba at the bottom once you tasted the boba wow it was hot and boiling. Not a good start for someone initially trying Vietnamese food for the first time. Upon arriving, we were not expecting to pay for our food after ordering at the counter. This is a bit new but sure why'd not. After receiving our menu we sat ourselves down and began looking through. After deciding what we wanted, we then walked back to the counter and placed our order. While looking at our total there's an option for tip, told the gentleman we will decide on that later after eating. Paid and went back to sat down. A few minutes later our boba drinks came first only to them not being "blended" but over ice so we had to give those back. They remade them and brought new ones. Next the appetizers arrived. The sesame balls are smaller then expected. Pho starts coming out. The bean sprouts and basil platter. At this point we're beginning to eat and there's no water. We had to ask for that. Slowly 3 cups starts coming. Had to ask for chop sticks, spoons... and extra plates and bowls. Everything was being asked and coming out slowwwww which at this point was getting annoying. This definitely feels like these owners first rodeo. Broth was ok, it tasted a bit watered down so had to add more sauce and chili oil. Biggest disappointment was when the chicken nuggets and fries came out. These were the Dino chicken nuggets, how cheap is that now! Overall will we come back when in the area, absolutely not! Our definition of this restaurant is that they were too greedy! Everything from the straws, spoons, forks. Chopsticks you name it you had to ask for EVERYTHING. In the end, no tip was given. There was service and when there was, it was too slow for our liking. None was deserved we decided. Went in on Memorial Day for the first time after seeing reviews about the place and the drinks available, it would be my last as the service and facility were subpar in comparison to many other local Asian themed restaurants within 10 miles. One major complaint which identifies the facility as subpar is the service, the old lady who has highlighted hair and is a bit overweight beyond husky has a horrible attitude, one that would make many walk right out and not place any order. If you have worked in management of employees, she is one whom would be fired for not having respect for another human being and their food. I have been to many hole in the wall Asian food service facilities and received great service; pho dera however, does not deserve to be at the height of a hole in the wall worth my family or my own time. The facility itself, had sticky tables, a temperature over 80 degrees indoors with a swamp cooler blocking the entrance, and was littered with randomly placed images of food and ads for other businesses. I don't recommend this place, go to the Japanese places nearby; and did I mention that I am part Vietnamese and am disliking the place? This is my first review because of how poor the place performed and I hope it helps change how service is brought forward or help others avoid wasting time and money. read more

The pho broth is good , although they sometimes skimp on the meat. I'm able to look past that because like I said, the broth is good. However my gripe with this place are the Spring rolls. EVERY TIME I have ordered them, they fall apart. The wrap is soggy and wrapped extremely loose . EVERY TIME. Everything ends up falling out and I'm left with a soggy wrap. So damn disrespectful . Mediocre pho place with horrible customer service. Came here two years ago and had a bad experience. I decided to come here again 2 years later and still the same shitty place. The waitress (tall light skinned bigger lady) is the worst. I don't know how she is the waitress of this place when she has no idea about what's served here. I tried asking her about a specific dish and she keeps saying that she doesn't know and to just tell her what number I want. This was the same lady two years ago that I had a bad experience with.
