Seeing as Hilwa coffee is a variety from the Armenia/Turkey region, which is my families heritage, I got home and immediately made a cup of it. The flavor of this coffee was spectacular, but what really set it apart is the ground toasted cardamom in it. I've had coffee with cardamom before and always thought it was just ok, but the owner said the real trick is to make sure its toasted before its included in the grinds. In the area since it's back to school for the kids so decided to get some breakfast here. A young man was quick to come help us pick out what we wanted. I love their ham and cheese breakfast items. They ask if you want it heated up and yes I love my croissants warm. I wholeheartedly support local donut shops and keep my distance from popular chains.
