This is ample parking out front for you. I was picking up some dried fruit as a snack I do enjoy the dried fruits the last longer and good on protein. Vons has earned back my 5 star review! I joined their FreshPass program and it saves me hours in shopping to be able to pick up my order without getting out of the car. You need to have the Vons app and clip the coupons to get the best deals at the store. I've also been inside a few times, their meat department is unique and they will cut orders for you upon requet. With the good quality and sale prices I shop here at least once a week. Their inventory online could use some updating but the customer service that fixes issues does help. Their produce is a bit pricey, but there are many other items I stock up on and it's more peaceful then battling the crowds at the bigger stores. read more

They are constantly out of items! Did a delivery, paid for the quicker option. Not once did they ask if I wanted anything substituted, like they have in the past. 7 out of 15 items were out of stock. No quick chat asking to substitute for a different brand or anything. The fruits and vegetables are always on the verge of rotten. Ugh, we just got back from shopping here, nov, 7, 2025 7pm. We the shopping bags all REAK of cigarette smoke and the smell is all over my house now. Update: The good is that they have self checkout. The bad is that it does not accommodate bringing your own bag. If you place your cooler storage bag or any other bag in the bagging area, it'll cause an alert that requires a manager to if you kept said bag in your cart and place your items into the cart bag, it'll cause the same alert. Lose lose if you DON'T use their bags. This required a 6 minute wait to get manager assistance to continue our transaction. read more

Don't buy gift cards here!! I buy gift cards to reward my employees every month. Several Amazon and Target gift cards I purchased here were either deemed fraudulent or invalid and I had to go through hoops to get them reimbursed. The problem is likely due to the gift cards being out on display and fraudsters place fake or tampered-with cards among the legit cards. Not worth the trouble of playing Russian roulette - get your gift cards somewhere else! read more

Yea!! I really enjoyed my visit to Vons for a mid-week grocery stock up. I was working in Fresno for the week and just needed some snacks, fresh fruit, Diet Coke, and sparkling water. Ended up getting some extra treats for my staff, too. This is as close to my Chicago-hometown "Jewel/Osco" that I could find in Fresno. And, actually, I think the stores are in network with one another as I was able to use my Shopper Rewards card here. I did add the Vons app, but then it quickly synced up with my Jewel rewards card, giving me some great deals! Shop is clean, well-stocked, bright, and cheery. Staff were helpful and friendly. Self check-out worked well and I was in and out in no time. Great experience here. read more

Artisan Sandwich Boar's Head s always busy with $5 deal. Need more helper/workers. I waited about 15 minutes til I get mine ordered. Line still long after I paid and walked out. The store is cleans and organized but the cashier registers is narrow for cart. Need more space. Self checkout is easy but when needed help took awhile for them to come help. read more

Very disappointing visit here. The store is clean and organized but I only came here for the $5 Friday deal that specifically said "$5 per pound top sirloin" the butcher tells me they don't have that deal and that the deal was only on bacon and some ribs which were also marked clearance so my guess is they were about to expire. So I show the butcher the email I received and he said "that could be a fake email or a different area. And that I should only pay attention to the app or the paper ad at the entrance." So I skipped buying any meat and picked up some Gatorade zero. The bagger didn't ask me if I wanted a bag, I would have said no. He put my items in a bag and when I got to my car, I see I was charged for the bag. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

In 11 months since I wrote this review, prices for food have gone up everywhere, including here. The chaotic mess from restocking has worsened and expanded to busier times of the day. And some vendors seem irritated when you excuse yourself to grab an item. I wish 3's a crowd was still something followed , but I get it. Staffing shortages everywhere. read more

I had the best experience from this Vons lovation , My son has to go to a winner formal and I didn't know where to get flowers for him and his date, thankfully, I ran into Jody in the flower department of your store. The flower department was amazing and Jody was even better, since we really didn't know what we were doing , she got our stuff ordered and she is going to custom make a couple pieces to match what the kids are wearing. Jody made the whole process super easy and the price was amazing. We feel so lucky that we ran into Jody and we will be using them for all of our floral needs in the future. My oldest daughter is getting married in February and we're gonna go back to set up the flower order with Jody! read more

Vons in Fresno... Let's Go! This town center hub is located in a shared business shopping area next to Mountain Mike's Pizza, Bank of American and Subway off Cedar Ave at the intersection for Shepherd Ave. This spacious Vons layout is very well organized. The produce section being on the right side entrance and the wine and spirits being on the left and with such a functional assortment this location definitely gets shopped hard being, also being one of the main grocery stores in the area leaving a few empty shelves or end caps here and there. With the exception of two items not being in stock I wanted I was really impressed by how clean and stocked they are in other areas especially their plant-based products, bread/Bakery and international. The Starbucks inside is one of the best I've been to inside a grocer and all lines move pretty consistently. Overall a super solid Vons/Safeway with very friendly staff and excellent customer service! read more

I came to pick up my nieces birthday cake and was wowed by the stores customer service. The bakery department staff were really nice and even helped me cart my full sheet cake to my car as it didn't fit in the shopping cart. I had to run back inside to grab some things and the next cashier I got was very sweet as well and making conversation. The store has ample parking and was very clean. Meat department clerk seems to not be able to multitask. When asked to stop what he was doing when asked for a product he completely shut me down saying they didn't have item. He didn't offer a way to accommodate the item I requested. It would be nice if he could offer a better experience for the customer. It won't take up more than a few minutes. read more

I usually don't shop here much but I decided too take my daughter on a little adventure too Vons. This place is so welcome and the food is beyond fresh, I was in the meat Dept and seen that there were selling Tri-tip by the pound. So I bought two lbs of Tri-Tip and some freshly prepared veggies. That night I prepared my Tri-tip and when it was finished it was very tasty! I'll definitely be making my future purchases at Vons! read more

My grandma and I used to shop at Vons all the time growing up, so this place holds a special place in my heart. It had been years since I've stepped foot in one, so I decided it was time to check them out again. I was amazed that the decor/interior of the store hadn't changed much at all since my last visit. It's still upscale. Walking around, I kept seeing member prices, so I asked an employee what that meant, and they told me I could sign up through their app via phone number. I did that right then and there, super fast and easy! Then, I was able to get the member exclusive deals and such. Super helpful. In the back, they have all their meats and seafood. They had a much larger selection than most stores I feel on their prepared foods. They have prepared foods in the back with the meat and seafood and also prepared foods in the front. Their prepared foods are amazing and def went up in quality and value since my last visit. I walked away with shoyu tuna poke, and it was delish! The only gripe about this place is that the prices are high. I'd love to shop here more, but the prices hold me back, even with the members' deals. Affordable in some sectors, but overall, an upscale store! Totally worth a visit. read more

I've been wanting to compliment your store in general. Whomever is running this store is doing an excellent job. The customer service is always fantastic every time I come in. I just want to give a kudos to the meat department. I had just come in for some of the crabs on sale, and I overheard a gentleman customer talking to, I didn't catch his name, but he was tall, with glasses, probably in his 40s white gentleman (may be mixed with some other ethnicity) meat department butcher. They were talking about meat, and I overheard the butcher say that the prime rib was on sale because they ordered too many. When it was my turn, I asked for a roast, since it was on sale, and I just gave him my hand gesture of how large I wanted the roast. He went as far as to pull the roast out for me to show me which side I wanted. He also offered to slice it just in case if I wanted to salt in between the roast. To me, that is above and beyond. I was only going into the store to look for something that might have cost me around $20, but I left, because of his excellent customer service, spending over $100. because of my great experiences at this Vons I will be coming here more often. Do not recommend using the VONS app for delivery groceries! This app doesn't text or communicate with you if the store is out of items. What they do is decide for you what to substitute your requested items for and charge you for the higher priced items. This is gouging and a rip off! I chose half sourdough bread and they choose two full loaves that I don't like and are more expensive. They chose not to substitute the pears but did the chips?! If you're out of an item, your out! Either text with the customer purchasing the items or don't replace and say they are all out! $21 for food I didn't order but they thought I'd keep it?! And 3-5 business days for the refund to show up!! Unacceptable VONS!! read more

If you want to try the "Drive Up & Go" option make sure to call ahead of time and confirm the phone number to call and if they provide that service for that day. I got an email that it was ready for pick up, followed the instructions. Parked and called the number on the sign as directed and it kept going to a cell phone voicemail, so I called the Vons Customer Service deal in the store and they kept me on hold for 25 minutes to try to find out why they weren't picking up the line to assist, instead they couldn't find them and stated they are having a clerk bring it out. This defeated the "Drive Up & Go" purpose not only that but poor customer service. I forgot to mention, prior to being on hold for 25 minutes I was transferred 3 times to get actual help!! They have gotten way out of hand with their prices. I mean Ground Turkey is 8.00? They had a sale on Progresso Soup. By 2 get 3 free. That's great til you see the price of a can is 4.50. So your paying 9.00 for two or 2.25 for 5 if you buy 5. So they really aren't losing anything on 5. The employees and managers are always courteous and helpful, but they unfortunately can't control the ridiculous prices. read more

Vons needs to seriously think about hiring some new, qualified managers at this location. I've personally seen the assistant manager belittle and yell at employees. This is about the florist. Too bad there isn't a separate listing. Over many decades we've sent a lot of flowers. Just like everything else, the days of a person who cares about service and quality of product are looong gone. This florist is the exception. Too many times at other places we've sent roses that die without opening, weak, droopy arrangements, or less than helpful people. We are VERY happy with the florist in Von's . You can take home a bunch of roses if you have your own vase. They have various levels of flower bouquets to take home. They also have lots of arrangements. The facility is well kept. It is inviting. After walking by many times, finally picked up a bouquet of a dozen dark red roses. They were a hit! After clipping the stems and arranging them in a vase at hone in water, they opened up over the first three days and are still beautiful. Denise was very helpful and her customer service was good. It's a gorgeous corner of the grocery. We recommend the florist at Von's! read more

A Vons is a Vons is a Vons. Not a lot of variance between them as is the case for many union stores. I do like that the national stores have upped their game in the wine, cheese and gourmet foods departments - it's nice to be able to shop for what I use all the time and get some specialty foods here without having to drive to Whole Foods. By no means does Vons have the selection as WF, then again, this isn't the type of store who caters to the WF shopper. One thing is for sure - one has to take time to find the deals...Vons has some excellent ones. Sometimes wine and flowers are VERY inexpensive so I find myself filling my cart with the deals I find. Service is decent though sometimes I wonder about the courtesy clerks...do supermarkets still offer courtesy clerk (bagging groceries) training? I know a few who could use a refresher, so much so, I often times offer to bag my own groceries. I miss the days of really great grocery packing...and offers to help me load my car. I also miss plastic bags - I'm not a litterer - I use (I should say 'used') my bags over and over again and I rather dislike having to pay $0.10 cents per bag - utterly ridiculous. Ahhh, but I bet the grocery stores are making a small fortune on that nonsense. Carts are expensive and I've seen pictures of them in landfills....will we soon have to bring our own grocery carts lest we be charged to use one??? read more

I recently went in to get some balloons filled for my husbands birthday at the floral area and it was cheaper than at party city! Their soup selection is also amazing! I love Vons because I've always shopped there in LA, and also Safeway in the Bay Area. I'm still (*&^%#@@ p.o.'d that they closed the Blackstone location. That Vons was the best, always full of people and across the street from Red Carpet. How they "figured" that Central Fresno doesn't need a decent grocery store that was 100% full 24/7 I don't know. But . . .I still prefer Vons to any grocery store in Fresno. They have great specials and discount that you can easily sign up for on a phone app. They ALWAYS have discounts on cases of wine. They frequently have new products no one else carries, and in general, I save more here than any grocery store I have ever gone to with the exception of Ralph's that is only a Southern Calif grocery store. read more
