I tasted the broth beforehand. This is the House Special Pho.

I feel this place deserves an updated review. May have also changed owners from 10 yrs ago when I reviewed, not sure. But today I took my girls there and it was good. It was good 10 yrs ago too, but this one probably checks the vibe and ambiance. They did some updating and opened up the space. Pho is good. My girls approve and kids are brutal when it comes to honesty. Don't come for me about how I dress my pho lol I like my pho spicy but I can say the broth was good. I taste pho broth beforehand! And they give you a generous amount of meat. Their boba game also improved. The strawberry one is good.

Amazing food!!!!!!! The service was good too, lovely staff. I would come here again, they also have to go boxes if you get full and want to eat the rest later!! The portions are also a good amount.

Extensive Menu as of 07/2024.

We were passing through town and we're craving pho. Was a bit skeptical at first because of the poor yelp reviews. But were quickly proven wrong because you really loved their service and the food was really flavorful. Price points were also very reasonable. They also have such an extensive menu ranging from Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai food. We also ordered a couple drinks such as their mango smoothie and their Hokkaido milk tea with Boba. Please note that you order at the counter first and then they will give you your food at your table. Will definitely be back when we are in Madera.

I just don't recommend calling in your order specially during lunch hour rush otherwise the food is amazing

Boba is always sooo good

I have been going here for YEARS!!! The family that owns the restaurant is amazingly sweet. We are fully vegetarian, and they always accommodate our needs.

Rice was still raw tasting and dried out. You can only put so much soy sauce

We spent over $50 worth of food and this is what we received. Never will I order again and the only reason we went there was for the spring rolls And the guys excuse was that it sat for 15 extra minutes

Pulling in......

Had the combo banh mi. Really terrible. Bread is too thick. Not enough mayo. And the carrots were barely pickled.

Pho 2006 has been on my radar for a while now and I finally had an opportunity to get my slurp fix…read moreduring the winter break. Located in the Barnyard shopping center this Vietnamese restaurant is a little dated, but don't let the decor deter you. The food is in incredible! I ordered a large bowl with thin sliced meat balls along with spring rolls for the table. First off, I should've gotten a small bowl of pho, the large bowls here are massive. I had plenty of leftover for the next day and the day after! The broth was delicious with deep rich flavors and the noodles were slightly al dente, which I loved. I couldn't help myself and active point picked up my bowl and just started sipping the broth. My wife ordered the same thing as I, minus the meatballs and she too, could not get over how much flavor the broth had, almost like they had been slow cooking this for the past three days straight. The spring rolls were 100% handmade and the filling inside was delicious. We did bring our kids with us and we're definitely nervous because they are very picky eaters. They do offer a kids menu, but there isn't much to it. It's basically rice broth and your choice of meat. We ordered my 4-year-old daughter a small bowl of rice with broth and chicken; she loved this and kept asking for more! My son (7) went big and ordered pho with squid... he inhaled everything! Even asking if we could order more squid on the side to which we did and he ate that as well. This was huge win for mom and dad, now we can do pho to the family dining out rotation. This is a family own restaurant and the staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. Branden, our server, help to answer any questions and was very attentive to make sure we had everything we needed!

I love the peacefulness of the interior, the quick ordering process to receiving of food, and I love the flavor of the different broths I have tried. The reason for 3 stars: We have been here a few times, and were told by a server that seating was self-serve. We have practiced this each time coming in, but today after sitting at the only clean table(with some to be cleared off) a couple came over to the empty table and stared at us pretty weirdly before a server rushed over and told us to move because its for them. Not sure what happened before us coming in, but that energy was incredibly off putting. I hope we feel comfortable enough to come back.

Wanted to give this place a shot because it's close to my new work place and really enjoy it!…read more It's attached to the Tea Shop, which you have to walk through first to get to the restaurant. You'll then have to wait to be seated at the register. I think this set-up is kind of awkward but hey, at least they have cute sidewalk seating. There are plenty of tables and long benches to sit at and the restaurant itself feels clean and well-lit! The staff are super helpful also. Tried the House Special Beef Pho and it was pretty tasty! You do have the option to order your dish with regular thin noodles, flat noodles, or egg noodles. The broth is basil-y and the flavor has great depth. They have a self-serve station for condiments where you can grab some chili oil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, and lime. My favorite thing about this restaurant is that I don't feel too bloated after eating here (compared to other pho restaurants). Been enjoying this restaurant and eating here at least once a week!

My memory is shot. I don't want to be handing out 5 stars so easily but I think they deserve it. The restaurant is very clean, and I love the little Asian lanterns they have, all different, above each table. Plenty of seating. When we got there (a little after 5), there was only one other table occupied... by the time we left (6:30), every table was nearly taken. Our waitress, as well as the other on the floor, were both very welcoming and friendly. They handled the service remarkably as a team. The fact that they were a packed house and still were very attentive with us, checking how we're doing, checking on our water refills... these are the little things I appreciate most (and, of course, good food). I got the Pho with the Fatty Brisket, my friend got just the Steak Pho. They have a bar against the wall with all garnishes you may need to grab what you'd like. This is pretty smart... It saves them from waste. Instead of giving people items they may not use-- they would just grab what they'd like themselves. My friend grabbed her goodies, I prefer mine as is. To me, if your broth is good and doesn't require me to flavor it... I'll eat it just like that (unless I feel like adding spice). I've only ever been to a few other Pho places where I had to season up the broth myself...definite no no for them. All my friends who have gone out to eat Pho with me know I eat it just how I get it. Pho from my Mama is a different story though... I put the works (not because it's not flavorful) but, it's just different. Moving on... They also have a Teazona in their establishment. I've tried a few different drinks in the past but came to regularly deciding on the Tiramisu Milk Tea (no flan for me, light boba). Make sure to shake it well. You can also let them know your preference on the level of sweetness. We both got this tonight and it nearly tipped me over on the full scale. Couldn't finish it. Everything was really good though. Pho was the perfect choice for this weird, gloomy weather we've been having. The price is a bit up there but that seems to be the norm everywhere nowadays. But-- for the portion, the quality, and the service? Worth it.

But since we were dinning in I decided to try their Steak and Eggs with the bread. It was sooooooo good. The warm bread was crunchy on the outside and nice and soft in the inside. The eggs and meat came out on a sizzling try. There were two sunny side up eggs, thick cut of sweet/salty/tender marinated beef, small mushrooms, and pate on top. Paired with the bread this was a very comforting and delicious dish. The Nam Nuong rolls were good. Good portion of fillings and great crunchiness of the eggrolls wrappers and thick cut of the nam Nuong pork. I was only disappointed in the sauce. It was good but lacking depth of flavors. I think my expectation was it go be like the ones at Brodard's. And it wasn't. Located in the back corner, it can be a little hard to find parking if it gets busy but there is also the side parking lot. There was a wait list but we waited in line at the to go counter to ask to be seated. We were given our water and ordered. Once the food was dropped off we weren't checked up on again but this didn't bother us and you pay at the counter afterwards. The place had a lot of seatings with some seatings outside. There were tv playing Vietnamese food channels that was cool. I didn't get anything from their huge options of drinks and Che this time though. Looking forward to doing so next time. If you haven't tried this place, I would highly recommend their Vietnamese sandwiches with extra pate and butter.

Once we got inside, we added our names to the list and were seated in about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad considering the lunch rush. The ordering process was a bit of a letdown, though. I wanted extra noodles on the side, but the menu doesn't clearly state that they just add the extra portion directly into your bowl. The staff was so busy that they didn't explain it well, which was a little frustrating and left me disappointed. For food, we ordered the Dac Biet (which was massive!), a small Pho Tai, and the Sizzling Steak (Bo Ne). Honestly, the rare steak in the pho was just okay, it didn't quite live up to the one I usually get at Pho Ha Noi in San Jose. However, the Bo Ne was the absolute star of the show. The meat was incredibly tender and well-marinated, and the baguette was served hot and perfectly crunchy. While the prices aren't exactly "cheap," they are reasonable for the quality. Aside from the confusion with the menu, it was a very satisfying meal!

This pho has a deep, rich, and flavorful broth, with a generous amount of meat. Our server encouraged us to melt some of the marrow into the broth, resulting in a silky and decadent soup. Ordered pork chop, hot tea and pho with marrow which I have already reviewed. Pork chop and sauce is a number two seller directly behind the pho. When I want a pork chop, I want it moist, and the fat crispy and salted and seasoned well. This hit every single mark! I normally care that I am in a restaurant and don't chew on bones. I did not have one care in the world and picked up my pork chop bone and chewed every single crispy morsel of caramelized goodness from that bone. The sauce that accompanies the pork, rice and egg was slightly sweet and was the perfect balance to dip rice and pork into! It was light and bright and enhanced the flavors not overpowering them. The egg. It is surprising how many places can't cook an egg where the yolks natural fatty goodness isn't overcooked. I busted the yolk and let it drip all over my rice mixing it in to give the perfect amount of salt and fat mixed with the swing pork and sauce! It was a perfectly delicate bite filled with different textures! I will definitely order this again! The hot tea is made with natural herbs in it and not a cheap paper tea bag like other places. It is very simple, mild tea that is easy on the tongue and the belly. I enjoy my pot of hot tea every time I come! Thanks again for a day filled with excellent customer service and phenomenal food!
