Quick and good food. Most dishes come out within 10 to 15 minutes of order. 10 tables at this restaurant can handle large (6-8 person) and small groups (1-2 persons) with ease. Menu is large with noodle, rice, curry, and several other items not in the menu shown with photos on the walls. The pho is good and hearty, comes in one size, and there is always leftovers. The fresh spring rolls, summer rolls, and winter rolls are all good as a shareable or whole meal. The steam dumplings are a little mushy but with ample filling of crab and pork. I enjoy a Thai iced tea but water comes right to your table immediately. The smiling staff every time I go welcomes you with open seating and quick service. read more

Comfort food to the max. Considered pho but really wanted rice so opted for the pork chop rice dish. I wasn't planning on eating it all but it was so good it was gone in a second. Service was fast and I was the only one in there. Only downside is that prices are high. I don't think there was an entree (including pho) under $18. read more

There's not a consistency through the pho vietnams. Choose one and stick to them. The one on Denali makes my spicy green curry, better. When I ordered it from the Jewel Lake location it had no heat. So it was disappointing. read more

At least try to accommodate Gluten Free or know what it means. I called and asked if they offer gluten-free and was immediately met with NO! SHE Didn't even bother to offer possible choices. We already know that rice & vermicelli noodles are gluten-free. There is no reason why they can't use tamari soy sauce, which is gluten-free. Heck, even Kikkoman has a gluten-free soy sauce. They even have gluten-free fish sauce and Hoisin sauce. If you sell Pad Thai, that's usually gluten-free. Spring rolls are usually gluten-free. But the fact that you didn't even wanna take time is a testament of your poor customer service before I even walked through the door. So how about opening your door for the other part of Anchorage who can't have wheat. Some people are celiac who can't have cross-contamination other people are gluten sensitive or intolerant where some cross contamination doesn't really matter. The latter would be me. Do better. Pictured is the Ox Pho...I would give it an overall 6 only because the oxtail was super tender. The broth however was a very watered down broth. I wish they gave more lime. The lime in the picture is from my sister's. I literally had a half of that wedge for my pho. The broth wasn't as hot as I would have wanted it to be either. Definitely have to dress it up real nice to make it real good. Sriracha , fish sauce, lime, and etc. I ended up making a spicy kimchi bowl and ate all the noodles that comes with it. Ordered fresh rolls and Pad Ka Pao on DoorDash On 3/26. My first time trying this restaurant. The fresh rolls were not fresh, filled with brownish old lettuce and rice paper texture was old. That along with peanut sauce tasted off and could not eat them. The pad ka pao did not taste great either so threw more than 1/2 of it. Then Within 16 hours developed stomach pain and GI issues. My husband ate a small portion of a fresh roll and had mild GI issues as well. ? Food poisoning? Will not be ordering anything from this restaurant again. read more

This might have been the worst pho we've ever had. Sure, my wife is Vietnamese, so I'm a bit spoiled. However, the levels of oil in the broth made this inedible. This is a review for the location in the Jewel Lake strip mall. Having multiple locations, this restaurant seems to be thriving. We order take-out for the most part. Their combo fried rice is usually what I order and it is usually done well. Not too much oil, vegetables clean and fresh. This visit they were a little skimpy on the shrimp and beef. Their chicken pad Thai is average. The noodles were cooked well. Pho Vietnam uses breast meat for both these entrees, some visits the breast meat can be on the dry/tougher side. The BBQ pork and sticky rice definitely stuck out of the crowd. Incredible flavor. The opposing textures complimented each other. Last, was the oxtail pho. Everyone in my family except me, are big oxtail fans. Pho' Vietnam cooks oxtail well. I am not a pho person as far as the noodles go, but the noodles here were as perfect a texture as you could get, with the type of noodles used. The soup/broth itself was seasoned well and comforting. Basically, everything I didn't know I needed with how freezing the outside temps have been recently. Packaging for pick-up items is always sufficient with all soup fix-ins included, packed separately and securely. Portions are generous here and prices are average. read more

It was cold snowy Saturday afternoon and I didn't want to go out but we needed cold medicine. When the temps are in the 20s it takes a while for the car to warm up. In fact it never did get warm and we were chilled to the bone. We need something hot, tasty, and filling to warm our souls and a large steaming bowl Pho from Pho Vietnam #3 was the answer. For my first time visit to this location I had a very pleasant time and the pho was very hot and delicious. While I love the authentic feeling of the restaurant I feel it would be more eye appealing if the menu was better displayed rather than having photos of the food plus their prices placed on the wall throughout the dining area. The customer service was good and the staff answered all my questions in regards to what peanut allergens may be in their dishes. I just moved to this side of town, and was going to grab some solo dinner on the way from work. I've been to other locations without issue, but this one was...odd. I walked in and it was decently full. I wasn't greeted by anyone, which is fine, but I was genuinely very confused about how to get service. There was no "please seat yourself" sign or anything like that. But there were people standing at the counter, so I figured maybe it wasn't full service. That's all good. However, when I got to the front of the line, I saw other people seated and ordering from menus with a waitress. Still very confused, I asked the lady at the counter, "is this where I order for dining in?" "Yes." I was told, and she took my order, then walked off. I sat at an empty table, a sinking feeling when I got no water or attention. And...low and behold...my food was brought to me in to go containers. Which is a disappointment. I wish the service was a little clearer. The food was decent, once I got it home. The panang curry was not quite spicy enough for me, but it had a nice collection of veggies which I like. All in all, I might try it again with another person sometime, we'll see. read more
