It was OK. Kinda pricy. We tried 3 flavors- the spicy Korean, Spicy Original and Garlic Parmesean. My husband also ordered some fries with garlic parmesean and spicy stuff. The fries were AWEFUL. I think they would have been OK with a different sauce or just the garlic stuff, but the spicy stuff was all hot, like cheap Tabasco and had no flavor. Went right in the trash. The boneless chicken was all cooked perfect- crispy and juicy. The garlic parm was excellent per my husband's pref. I agree it was spot on. The Korean spicy was my favorite- reminded me a little of general Tsos but spicier. Definitely needed the veggies and sauce for cooling that was included. The Original Spicy we also did not enjoy- it just didn't have a good flavor. It was all heat on the front of your tongue and no taste. Had to drown them in ranch to get them down. I really like the atomic sauce, the spiciest they sell, and it goes really good with the thigh bites. Thigh bites, by the way, are awesome. They're so much better than boneless wings, and even better than bone in. The texture of thigh bites is so much better, and the meat is juicier. I didn't like the orange Szechuan very much. It was too sweet for me, and tasted a little like ramen noodle seasoning. The service was fast and friendly; I'll be back when I want some quick simple thigh bites. I would like to update my review, which I don't do all that often unless warranted. Wingstop reached out to me after I completed their survey they sent me regarding my purchase. The manager was VERY nice, apologized for the experience but didn't make any excuses just owned up to the fact that they were overwhelmed with orders and did not handle it very well. He wanted to apologize and of course said next time they would do better. I genuinely appreciated his sentiment so we tried them again. We did not order online but walked in and placed an order, it was quite busy but the customer service was on point and the restaurant was clean. We still took our order to go and by the time we got home our wings were still hot and fresh. We tried different varieties then last time and were very happy! The veggies were crisp and delicious. I like my fries crispier then they were but I am sure we could ask for them more well done. All in all I am impressed with their customer service and we thoroughly enjoyed our wings. Thanks WS for making up for last time. I am not very impressed with my first visit here. We ordered online so our order was ready when we got there, right at one o'clock, which is a bonus. But the bag our order was in was all wet with condensation from the wings, as if they had been sitting there for a long time, then I noticed other to go bags sitting behind the counter with a 2pm even a 2:30 pm pick up time. So those orders were done before I got there at one and are not to be picked up till the time on the tag. WHAT?! I wonder how long my food was sitting there waiting. You'd think Anchorage was sleepy retirement village by the closing times around here. 90% (I made that up) of businesses shutter their doors by 10pm. Take advantage of a lovely midnight sun hike and...you'll return to town hangry, with almost no cure. 2) The wings are pretty big. They are large and meaty for wings. I got 15 and there was way more meat than I was expecting. 3) The online ordering system is perfect. You just check the boxes and you're done. It accounts for all the common mods (only drums, only flats, extra well done, you name it) that most people like. When I arrived I had to wait for less than a minute and I was on my way. Wingstop has finally opened its first Anchorage location next to Carrs Aurora Village on W. Northern Lights Blvd. This was one of my favorite places for buffalo wings when I lived in Raleigh, NC and in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The restaurant had just opened on Sunday Mar. 5th and I decided to make my way down here earlier today to satisfy my craving for wings. The place was crowded when I got down there during the dinner rush, but I didn't have to wait long for a cashier to take my order. The restaurant's décor is the same layout of the other locations I have been to down in Florida and North Carolina with an aviation theme. Seeing the plane propellers on display as well as the other aviation memorabilia spread around the restaurant made me feel like I was back in the Lower 48 again. I decided to go with what I usually ordered at the NC location which was a 10-pc two flavor combo, Original Hot and Garlic Parmesan for $12.69 which included a choice of Fries (Cajun, lemon pepper, parmesan, or fry seasoning) or Carrot/Celery sticks and a 20oz. soft drink. Since I didn't have lunch today, I added an extra 5 wings for an additional $5.39. I would've called this a good deal except that the NC and FL locations offered the same deal for a couple of dollars less. I was told that the wait was going to be 18 minutes during the rush. Fortunately, the wait only lasted about 15 minutes and I settled down to eat at a table in the corner. As much as I loved going to Wingstop at the other locations, the meal I had was only good enough for three stars. The Original Hot was delicious, just what I remembered from the last time with a good level of spicy buffalo sauce and an added level of tanginess with the vinegar. The Garlic Parmesan wings however were a disappointment. The wings were cooked extra crispy (very dry) with very little garlic butter and too much parmesan thrown on it. The blue cheese dipping sauce was excellent with large chunks of blue cheese that perfectly complemented the Original Hot and the Idaho fries that came with. I preferred the shoestring fries with Cajun seasoning that the other locations offered. The thickness of these were more like steak fries. In spite of the higher price and how the Garlic Parmesan wings turned out, I will give them a second chance being that it was only their second day in business and all the new employees are in the process of settling down. The wings are a work in progress, but I believe it will only get better over time. read more

Both times I've came here I ordered the 30 piece group pack with fries and celery/carrot sticks. The wings were cooked to order and tasty on both occasions. I ordered the Hawaiian and garlic parm the first time, 20 bone in and 10 boneless. The second time I did just the garlic parm with same bone in/boneless quantities. The flavor is really good on their wings but I don't care so much for the boneless breading they use. It's too thick and takes away from the boneless wings texture. This place has the best wings in Anchorage. In Alaska. Perhaps anywhere. I come here 2-3 times a month. The wings are huge and meaty. And when you ask for them to be extra crispy, they are. And a big chain like this only has excellent sauces. Here, this store applies the sauce perfectly, and then seasons them just right. I also get sides of veggie sticks and cajun corn. The veggies are perfect: fresh carrots and celery, served ice cold. And the cajun corn is a real treat: disks cut from the cob that are fried and seasoned. So good! The staff here is terrific. I usually encounter Drake. He clearly takes pride in exceeding the customer's expectations. Such a friendly, good guy. I have eaten wings all over the country, including several times at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, which claims to have started it all.
